“Pros: Quiet, close to the park Cons: Sometimes the elevator breaks, could be an issue if you are on the higher floor”
— 300 8 AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Rent is pretty cheap. Location is good. Super lives in basement Cons: It’s a shitty old building. Units super small. Roaches. Super will just come into your unit at any time even if you’re going to the bathroom or naked in the shower. Had some very weird neighbors like elderly people with mental health stuff.”
— 300 8 AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Good super - live in Laundry in basement Elevator Thick walls - rarely heard others Cons: Insufficient Kitchenette Laundry area sometimes dirty”
— 300 8 AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: They certainly don't make buildings like this anymore. It could survive a nuclear blast. Which means you don't hear anything from the neighbors. The live-in Super stays on top of the maintenance and trash. Elevator works. Biggest pro is the location: a block from Prospect Park and shopping. Great neighborhood. Cons: It's an old building. Everything works but could use an upgrade. It's fine. Advice to landlord: Think about an interior facelift.”
“Unit 3E Pros: We lived in a small but nice apartment. Building super is a great guy. Laundry room was convenient, as was the elevator. Cons: We had carpenter ants, water leakage from upstairs neighbor and a mouse at one point. Advice to landlord: Be proactive about the ants”
