“Pros: This House became my sanctuary amidst the chaos of NYC. The modern finishes and thoughtful details made it feel like home. I was looking for a hassle-free move, and Hamilton House delivered. Cons: Sometimes the kitchen got a bit crowded during dinner hours, and the laundry machines could take a while to be free.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“Quiet area, close to the subway. The room was clean, bright, and had everything I needed — a bed, desk, and good WiFi. The house felt safe and the neighbors were friendly. Common areas could be cleaned more often, and the kitchen could use a few more utensils.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I needed a living situation that wasn’t just affordable but also flexible. The sense of community here has been more helpful than I expected. I’ve met people who have offered advice, support, and even connections that have been valuable for my work. It’s a great space for anyone who’s balancing a professional life while also wanting to build personal connections. Cons: Shared areas depend on how clean other tenants are Rooms and furniture are pretty basic, not luxury Advice to landlord: Improve communication when tenants raise issues.”

— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“What I loved most were the connections I made. I met people from all over the world—each with a unique story to tell. Many nights were spent in deep conversations, sharing dreams and ideas that fueled my writing. It’s rare to find a living situation that offers both privacy and community, but Outpost manages to strike that perfect balance.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“The house has such a cool, artsy vibe. The neighborhood is full of murals and independent shops, and there’s always something happening nearby. The apartment itself is well-maintained, and my room is bigger than I expected. The backyard is a huge plus for sunny days!”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“I came to NYC for grad school and found this house through a friend. The flexible lease terms and included essentials made my transition super smooth. Plus, the community events are great for meeting people when you're new in town. Absolutely loved this place! Cozy, clean, and well-designed. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the location is perfect. Everything was smooth and hassle-free. Would definitely come back and recommend.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“I moved here after leaving a high-pressure corporate job. Downsizing my lifestyle and embracing co-living has been a humbling and healing experience. The house is cozy, the amenities are top-notch, and the people are kind and open-minded.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“After moving to NYC, I didn’t want the stress of searching for roommates or furnishing an apartment. Outpost took care of all that for me. It’s been a great way to meet people and adjust to the city without the added pressure. The location is fantastic, too”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“Living here has been a rewarding experience. The flexibility of co-living, the built-in community, and the convenience of a fully furnished space make it the ideal place for someone like me who’s always on the go. Harlem has so much to offer, and I feel lucky to live here.”
— 468 WEST 146 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The place is pretty spacious and clean with patio access, laundry, two dishwashers, hot water, A/C, internet, and common lounges for people to hang out. The location is conveniently close to the subway, and generally in a quiet area. There is weekly cleaning service, and generally good people that stay here. Cons: The responsiveness of the company that runs this place is shady, this was supposed to be an affordable alternative to live in if you are a student or young, working professional in the city, but the general attitude of the company has shifted towards a more greedy approach. Having my lease come up feels like a runaway train as my rent for a room (not a full apartment that you can lock by the way!) has gone up in the last year from 1600 to 2200 for the same room that had no repairs, improvements or remodels or anything to bring up the property value. The owners never communicate their plans or anything on rent increases and everyone here has either been forced to move out because of the insane increases in what was supposed to be the companies answer to NYC's unaffordable housing to becoming unaffordable themselves for no reason. They made it clear that since this is not rent stable housing they are just going to continue increasing the prices and forcing tenants out as long as there is another person willing to pay more for a ROOM that isn't even a full apartment. Advice to landlord: remember what the company was supposed to stand for and follow the law please”
