“Pros: Great building with amenities. Gym is great View is great Finishing is great Cons: Rent was not worth the apartment Construction going up will block views”
— 515 WEST 36 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Relatively new building, great views Cons: Ongoing construction projects on 3 sides of the building make non-stop noise 6 days a week. It is maddening and only getting worse. Construction will continue until 2029”
— 515 WEST 36 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nice units, good staff, no problems. Cons: There is a construction site next door that probably will be creating noise issues for 3 or 4 years.”
— 515 WEST 36 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 36D Pros: The concierge and maintenance team are very helpful. The common areas are great (however the spa is not open yet). Cons: The management is unresponsive. Since the day I moved there has been a tapping noise coming from the AC in one of the rooms that makes it impossible to sleep without earplugs. The noise is torturous. Since day one we asked to change units or have it fixed. Even thou maintenance tried to fix it a couple of times this is still going on. It’s been 7 months. Management has not moved us to another unit, nor decreased our rent when one of the rooms is inhabitable for sleeping purposes.”
“Unit 34J Pros: Great location, new construction, responsive super, clean, nice amenities Cons: Windows squeak, might be a little noisy Advice to landlord: All good”
— 515 WEST 36 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The views are unbeatable. The doormen are all great. Unfortunately that’s where it ends. Cons: Non stop construction noise right next to building. There is drilling/banging/construction noise non stop, 7 am-7pm 6 days a week. They also have a few days a week where they work overnight into the morning resulting in 36 hrs of non stop construction noise. It is unbearable. Not scheduled to be completed until 2029. Our lease is up next month and we can’t wait to leave. There are so many vacant apartments and despite this the landlord is still raising the rent (like he has each of the 5 years I’ve been here). Please, if you cherish peace and quiet and your sanity, you will stay away from this building. Advice to landlord: Stop raising rent. Treat your tenants with more respect and less like a burden to you.”
— 515 WEST 36 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: New, great súper and doormen. Clean. Cons: Rent is crazy. They renew leases as if the world was at their prime with 10%+! Advice to landlord: You should know your tenants better and appreciate having good tenants instead of penalizing them with ridiculous lease raises.”
