DS-CREF3 CLINTON SENIOR PROPCO LLC · avg 3.0 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: -Location -allows pets Cons: -extremely loud heating system. Unliveable due to noise. -cold even in spring”
— 425 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: My unit was lovely on the interior with lots of natural light Cons: There is a drug dealer living in the building, resulting in people coming and going at all hours of the night, people on drugs in the lobby, and package theft. The management company does nothing to help and when the cops are called, they simply come, ask the person to leave, and do nothing.”
— 435 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 2F Pros: - Great location close to the subway - Modern updated kitchen appliances Cons: - One of the downstairs units was clearly a destination for drug dealing, and the building's common areas (lobby, courtyard, and sidewalks) were full of people using drugs, loitering, and making noise at all hours. The building's door lock was often taped over to allow non-tenant access, and groups of people camp/sleep in the lobby or hang by the mailboxes looking for packages to steal. They were never confrontational toward me, but it's unsettling to come home late at night and have your door opened for you by someone you know doesn't live there. - Persistent problems with German cockroaches that nested inside our dishwasher. Also saw several large American roaches and a mouse. - Frequent hot water issues”
— 435 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: nothing - only the community is nice. Cons: The hallways are disgusting, the apartment was given to us in heinous conditions although we were told that it was professionally cleaned... it was evident that this apartment hasn't been cleaned in probably 3 years. There's a CRACK dealer living in 1F and homeless crackheads squatting on the staircase. According to neighbors, they also do CRACK in the hallway... Do not move into this building. Advice to landlord: Get this place drug raided. Everyone has submitted a complaint”
— 435 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: I love the location, the space, and the high ceilings. No trouble with pests Cons: The neighbors can be very loud and there’s a lot of construction nearby”
— 425 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Is it somewhat well located, walking distance from other (better) places such as Prospect Park and Fort Greene. Cons: Drug dealer lives in the building. Be prepare to have a full-on open air drug market in front of the building, most days of the week. You will find drug users sleeping and defecating in the building. Packages are systematically stolen. The various managers do not care, and do not act. Avoid this place at all cost. Advice to landlord: Get this property under control before something tragic happens.”
— 435 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: The convenience of the neighborhood Cons: -The illegal activity on the ground floor; drug addicts harassing residents and walking in and out of the building, randomly ringing tenants' doorbells to buy drugs. - Drug addicts stealing packages - No security downstairs - lack of responsibility and responsiveness from management to solve issues - constant hot water issues”
— 435 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Good Neighbors Good location Clean Cons: Unresponsive Management -No heat and hot water for 3 days due to “ordering a part” - Sued tenants -Con Ed sent mail that building electricity has not been paid for a while - management filed for bankruptcy - Walk Up”
— 425 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit B5 Pros: Relatively quiet building Cons: Management company not responsive”
— 425 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 2c Pros: We had a nice size apt, renovated, never had a pest issue. Heat needed to be adjusted by super but overall worked. Cons: Was stuck in a weird spot in middle of building- no fire escapes or street views. Was quieter from street noise but double the neighbor noise from hallway. Kids used to come after school every day & bang on their grandmother's door & scream her name since she was deaf. Homeless lady lived in the lobby & many people would block the front door in summer. Garbage issue in the courtyard Advice to landlord: If people are allowed to live in the lobby at least make them ask me a clever riddle every day”
— 29 PUTNAM AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit B7 Pros: Great super, awesome area in the city. Cons: Lots of rodent problems throughout the building. Owner is non-responsive, heat and hot water is constantly out, and numerous HPD complaints and violations are filed weekly.”
— 425 GRAND AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Relatively quietly building. Nice neighbors. Our apartment was renovated (in most regards) Cons: Electricity goes out every 1-2 weeks Boiler breaks resulting in no hot water constantly Our unit had cracks on the out window sills and muddy water would deep through the break and puddle on the ground when it rained. The paint on the walls is so cheap that just brushing up against it causes it to rub off. Once you’ve scuffed it you can’t even clean it because using water further damages the paint. Advice to landlord: You CANNOT advertise this is a “luxury” unit (and charge $3000 for barely 500 ft) and then handle it like crap. I’ve never had a place that has so many problems with water and electricity. Do better.”
