“Pros: Very good lighting, elevator, pet control comes once a month. Cons: The heater is insane and you cannot control, there have been things that break and it takes a few weeks to get fixed.”
— 252 WEST 91 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Very clean building never seen any bugs. Cons: No real complaints. It is an older building so there is some charm but very well maintained for the most part.”
— 106 WEST 96 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Responsive landlord Nice neighbors Attentive super Well maintained Cons: Loud construction in front of the building”
— 252 WEST 91 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: great clean renovated apartment, fantastic location, close to train, owners are pretty responsive to issues and I've found them to be trustworthy Cons: walls are PAPER THIN. i've never lived in a building where I could hear so much noise from my neighbors; it basically sounds like my neighbor in the apartment next to mine is my roommate. i can also hear the people in the apartment below mine talking and squealing pretty frequently. the halls are also incredibly loud and echo-y. I can deal with no laundry in the building, but when the noise thing is bad, it's bad.”
— 252 WEST 91 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Cheap apartment in a good area. Is spacious for what it is. Neighbors are nice. Cons: Loud music outside Hallway smells and is really grimey. Only railroad apartments. Advice to landlord: Clean up the hallways.”
— 772 AMSTERDAM AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The neighborhood is great, lots of restaurants around, close to subway and parks, good amount of space and I like the layout of my apartment Cons: You will be IGNORED by the super or worse he will say “I’ll be there in a few minutes” and then ghost you. I had read a review about how the super requires persistence in order to get what you need done and that is an understatement. I’ve had issues take MONTHS to be resolved even ones that have caused damage to my apartment. Calling building management about it does nothing as they are just as likely to ignore you. Advice to landlord: STOP INCREASING RENTS DURING COVID Listen to your tenants and have a super that actually helps”
— 252 WEST 91 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I like it’s proximity to everything, food, resturants, laundry, alot of 24hr spots (pre-covid) hrs different now. Has an elevator for moving. Cons: The tenants are not priority. They are money hungry. Been with them for 10yrs and they still raised the rent. Have to ask them to clean the hallways, ask for a mat for when it snows, (still no mat) exterminator is not consistant, it’s all about money money money here. Raise the rent EVERY YEAR! When you make a noise complaint they ignore it. Super does not do any work in the building. They have him working too many others places that the actual building he should be tending too, he can’t. His family is super loud and constantly leaves trash in the hallways, moving as soon as my lease is up. Advice to landlord: Choose and new super and treat your tenants as priority! Check in with them. Theres a huge disconnect here. Pay attention to whats happening in and aroubd your building.”
