— 165 AVENUE B · Manhattan“Pros: Apartment is renovated with lots of storage and updated appliances and kitchen space. Cons: Many issues with rodents, the landlord was late to respond and the super did the bare minimum to remediate the issue in a timely manner. Multiple instances where the water heater was broken and we didn’t have hot water for multiple days.”
— 165 AVENUE B · Manhattan“Pros: The apartment space and updated features are nice Cons: Mice, super ghosts you so nothing gets fixed and gaslights you that problems don’t exist without even coming to check them out, had to call the police because the super let sketchy people live in the cellar of the basement and they had an altercation (wish I was making this up), a witch shop opened in the building so smells like burning all the time, super never turns the heat on/off at appropriate times Advice to landlord: Get a new super”
— 165 AVENUE B · Manhattan“Pros: The location is great! Right near Tompkins Square Park and great restaurants and bars. Dream Baby across the street does get a bit loud on the weekends. The units themselves are gorgeous. Biggest kitchen with the most storage space I've ever seen in NYC. Incredible closet space and natural light. Homey feel. Cons: The landlord never responds and when he does, he's unreliable and rude. He ignores our requests repeatedly and tells us he can't come to fix issues until weeks later. He even hid from the police and refused to talk to them once when we called them about a security issue. AWFUL! Advice to landlord: Get a new landlord. He doesn't do his job whatsoever.”
