“Pros: in-unit washer/dryer decent living room space close to trains responsive landlord Cons: growing to be more expensive”
— 280 WEST 115 STREET · Manhattan“Unit APT 3 Pros: Cheap. Good responsiveness from landlords. Spacious rooms. Central air. Cons: Had a huge bug problem for awhile. Eventually, landlord got exterminator to deal with it after like 3 months and 3-4 attempts by exterminator. AC unit was broken for awhile. Also expensive utilities in the winter months.”
— 2128 FREDRICK DOUGLASS BL · Manhattan“Pros: These are some of the best buildings to rent from. the units span the entire floor so your only neighbors are below or above you. There are only 5 units (from what I remember) and we never had noisy/obnoxious neighbors. Management was responsive -the appliances in the unit are top notch. Cons: It's not gas heat - so you're paying for electric heat. The central air (heat and AC) work well, but in the winter, double whatever you are used to paying con ed (sometimes triple.) Fred Douglas is a noisy street and you will hear street noise.”

— 2128 FREDRICK DOUGLASS BL · Manhattan“Pros: New appliances, usually clean, spacious. There’s a restaurant on the first floor and sound did not really travel up from them. Cons: Had a mouse issue but exterminator came and I didn’t see any since. There was small roaches in the kitchen area. There is a nightclub across the street that gets very loud even during the week.”
— 2126 FREDRICK DOUGLASS BL · Manhattan“Pros: Well-maintained building. Very responsive, respectful management. Durable, functioning appliances (laundry/dryer, dishwasher, bathroom fixtures, central AC, etc.) Cons: Central A/C can run up energy costs considerably in summer and winter. Very convenient, but also inefficient.”
