“Pros: Great sound insulation, never had a problem with rats, safe, never had a package stolen, never had water pressure issues. Cons: I lived here for 1.5 years in a unit with a basement on the first floor, and the management was horrible. It repeatedly flooded during storms and management responsiveness was very low. In our last week there, it flooded the upstairs (first floor) from the ceiling, and there was water everywhere. We asked them for a mop and buckets to help and they didn't show up until a few days later. Whenever we would report a leak, they would just paint over it on the wall instead of addressing the actual problem. There was visible mold in a closet in the basement despite the paint. We also had an ant problem. Advice to landlord: Be better?!?!! Don't illegally deregulate these kinds of units as well. This building definitely should still be rent stabilized.”

“Pros: Really clean unit, never saw any bugs and everything was mostly updated. Overall, interactions with people were pleasant Cons: Had to break our lease and leave because there was a CO2 leak and they shut off gas and hot water with no timeline for when it would be back on. Had a good time living here, but our lives were put at risk by management who turned gas back on prematurely and caused a leak in the building. Instead of being apologetic, they sent tenants an email about how we were conspiring against them and trying to get the building shut down by calling 311. Advice to landlord: Please care about your tenants lives”

“Pros: Backyard is nice when not gross Cons: Pests everywhere, leaks, most notably a gas leak confirmed and fixed by gas company that travelled up walls to first floor apt. On the garbage truck route, so literally every full garbage truck must sit idling with hot garbage to weigh in. Absolutely horrendous and would never recommend Advice to landlord: Burn it down already.”

“Pros: I guess the location is nice? Cons: Garbage is not taken care of well. Frequent problems with water, leaks, parties in building. Advice to landlord: Need more trash cans. Less rats.”

“Pros: Location; apartment could be cute if they used anything other than cheap replacements/fixes for everything Cons: THESE ARE SLUMLORDS- RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Outside is distgusting. Trash management is a joke and they constantly have a summons on the front door because of it. Still don't fix it. The washer dryer? It's in the rat infested basement of the apartment next door. If you hear rattling in the closet, those are the critters. Say hi. Oh and the washer/dryers? Have been broken for months...still not fixed. They come into the apartment for constant inspections when they "fix" things, but leave with them in worse condition. Oh and there are ALWAYS leaks--from the ceiling (ones they "fix" that are still fkd up), walls...it's a mess. The building is poorly maintained so if something is broken, good luck ACTUALLY getting it fixed. Sure people will make appointments with you and ask you to take off work and NO SHOW. But they won't fix anything. Might temporarily repair and weeks later same situation. Our water heater is a perfect example. We spent almost a full week's time without hot water working. The nonchalant management company gave zero fks. There are 311 complaints on these folks for a reason ya'll. Oh and they raised the rent $1000 from year to year. YUP! Greedy, money hoarding, and down right neglectful. IF you don't give a shi* about where you live and you don't mind this PLUS loud ass neighbors that throw parties on weekdays with bouncers outside until 5am (true story) or about over paying for small space within a slumlord led building, GO FOR IT. But if not RUN FOR THE HILLS. They don't give a fk about you, just your money. And they make it CLEAR. Advice to landlord: Do. Better. Especially if you’re going to try and raise rent prices and pretend this is an upscale building. CLEAN THE FKN TRASH OUTSIDE THE BUILDING. For half the week, half the block is COVERED in trash. It's beyond gross and unsanitary.”

“Unit 1L Pros: - Good kitchen with new appliances and dishwasher - Good bathroom/shower/water pressure - Laundry in basement - Closets - High ceilings Cons: - There is ALWAYS overflowing trash in front of the building - Mostly unresponsive building management - Back yard is great to have but it's always filled with trash - Front doors slam super loudly Advice to landlord: Building management could be far more communicative (one time they changed the code to the front door without informing tenants for over an hour), and building could be much better maintained.”
