“Unit 2S and 5N Pros: The apt is huge and clean. Lots of space for HK. Cons: The 5th floor is crack head hoarders who use the entire stairwell, front door way area, sidewalk, garbage area to work on stolen bikes and motor cycles. They smoke cigs in the hallway and bang all hours of the night. They often have homeless friends sleeping in the stairwell. Advice to landlord: Be responsive to the issues and take responsibility that this neglect has gone in too long. Don’t blame tenant laws when there is plenty you can do.”

It gets so hot it literally melts my skin care items during the day in the summer. The living room is by the avenue and very loud. Hot in summer, leaving window open leaves layer of black spot on EVERYTHING that is impossible to clean. Management is semi-responsive and slow to get things done. The BIG issue is pests!!! We’ve had mice at least once and roaches twice or so and the sign up for pest control in the hallway always has multiple units. Apt is super old and not well maintained - cracks in wall, gap between floorboard and wall all along the entire apartment, top layer of floor/varnish peeling. The day trash sorted through, the hallways reeks of rotting garbage. The bathroom vent has also been broken for years which the super said is a building issue. There are also many building violations Advice to landlord: Better pest control, add building insulation, fix building ventilation system so bathroom fans work, fix building violations, don’t raise rent in the middle of pandemic and hound long term tenants for money who have never missed a payment before”
