“Unit 4K Pros: Amenities are nice, laundry on every floor is quite convenient vs having to go down to a basement to do it. Front desk and super are helpful and nice Cons: Management is honestly awful to deal with, you have to email/call several times before you get an answer. Basically just stonewalls you. Outside noise is on the louder side given that you're on one of the main streets/corner of it”

“Unit 10E Pros: * Renovated kitchen and bathroom * Laundry on each floor * Chill front desk staff * Location is close to many subway stations * Amazon delivers packages straight to door. Front desk looks over other packages Cons: * Central A/C does not work * Shower drain is always clogged * No hot water in the winter or it takes 10+ mins to warm up, but then runs out after 2 mins * Leaky/running toilet * The trash chute is too small to take any normal size garbage bags so people leave it in the trash room for the super to collect, but leaving trash bags on the floor attracts pests * A few roach sightings, mainly after being away for a while. Not a regular issue though. * Very little sunlight if facing the courtyard * Slow ass elevator and it was broken for 3 months * Property management is not very responsive to maintenance requests. They say they will come take a look at things and they don't. Super is pretty responsive, but isn't given the necessary stuff from management to fix * A lot of tourist traffic on the street * Walls are super thin. I can easily hear neighbors TV from hallway”

“Pros: Soundproof windows! Especially in midtown this is a must and I’m barely annoyed by the sounds. Cons: Location gets tiring after a while. Trash room get a little gross.”

“Unit 12c Pros: The door staff are great and we have a friendly relationship with the building staff. The exterior of the building is historic and beautiful. Apartments are adequately sized. That said- Torkian bills this as a luxury property, it is far from that. Cons: The management company is unprofessional, churns out tenants rapidly as folks cannot keep up w steep rent hikes, have been sued for short term rentals back in 2019 and are back at it again, won’t replace the trash compactor for 2 years now, don’t respond to tenant emails…. I could go on. If you can avoid it, do not rent from Torkian management portfolio of buildings. Advice to landlord: Get a Super who is helpful, respond timely to urgent maintenance requests, appreciate tenants who aren’t loud college kids leaving pizza boxes and trash everywhere, smoking indoors. Your building is going down hill and it couldn’t be more obvious how much you don’t care.”

“Pros: location is the only one I guess. Cons: - Managements are not responding well, should waited to get a response for a week. Be careful. Don’t expect to get a full refund on deposit. They take out the money for small stupid things. - Pest control is not handle well, water bugs are everywhere. - thin walls, noise is not blocking between neighbors. Weekend was the nightmare. - this building is absolutely dark Advice to landlord: Well… Do better”

“Pros: Rooms were pretty soundproof, and the front desk and super were all very nice and helpful. Cons: When we decided not to renew, management was not responsive or helpful during the move out. I get that they weren’t happy but that seems petty.”

“Pros: Very good location that is close to many train lines and a ton of places to eat and shop. Maintenance is good and the doormen was helpful. There is a tiny gym that can come in handy. Lots of closet space. Cons: It can be a bit noise so it’s a very crowded street. The building looks dated on the inside. Advice to landlord: Some renovations on the inside and better soundproofing”
