“Pros: Spacious, modern units Cons: Management is extremely unorganized and non-responsive. Other tenants are crazy disrespectful. Lots of issues go unresolved. Neighborhood is sketchy, people followed me home more than once, people broke into the building and even units on multiple occasions making it not always feel safe especially for the money you pay to live in a luxury building”
— 1389 BROADWAY · Brooklyn“Pros: The price is decent for what you are getting. There is laundry in the building and its near the train station, plus there is a grocery store on the ground floor. Cons: The neighbors let their pets pee on the carpet, they do not clean the trash room and it smells. There is a small gym which you can not always use bc teenagers like to play around there. I sometimes find McDonalds food left over in the gym, which is strange since there is a lounge next door. The roof is now close after 8pm bc people broke some furniture. Management is not very responsive.”
— 1389 BROADWAY · Brooklyn“Pros: The units are a decent size and you are right next to the train. McDonald’s is across the street. Nice rooftop view Cons: For the money, you’d be wise to consider Bed-Stuy or any other building where disappointment isn’t the main attraction. Air conditioners are included, though your electric bill will inflate like a hot air balloon. Apparently, cutting corners is an art form here, and you’ll be living in a drafty gallery. The neighbors? Let’s just say they’re ‘colorful’—in the way that a circus is. If you enjoy the symphony of inconsiderate behavior, you’ll feel right at home. The shared community rooms are a delightful fantasy. They sound wonderful, provided you don’t actually need to use them. Laundry goes missing. Machines stop working or take your money. Don’t cancel your current gym membership if you decide to move here. Mail here is a game of chance: it either vanishes into the void or appears eventually, like a late and unwelcome guest. In short, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere unless you’re keen on a grand lesson in regret. Advice to landlord: Ask us how you can improve our experience and try to improve.”
