“Pros: Zero. None of good part only worse situation you have to deal with. Stay away. Cons: Super is horrible, no respond and told you wait in patience if things are not urgent. Pest control is a joke. Roaches and mice all over the building. Always smelly elevator. Intercom was out of service since Covid started. Package got stolen all the time. No heat and hot water. Loud noises neighbor. And you can’t get safety deposit back because you took too many garbage outside of the building. Advice to landlord: Hire a better management company or everyone will move out.”
— 1290 OCEAN AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Laundry in building. Pets are allowed (no fee) Super is very friendly and respond in a timely manner if needed. Quiet. Nice neighborhood. Cons: The garbage situation in the building is disgusting. Neighbors do not care about the cleanliness. This is the reason why there are pests. Slight mice problem in building. Cameras do not work in building. I've asked super about two different locations about the camera and he says it doesn't work. Heat sometimes doesn't work. NOT RENT STABILIZED. RENT GOES UP EVERY YEAR. THIS WAS NOT STATED UPON SIGNING LEASE. Advice to landlord: You need to start citing fees for neighbors who aren't complying with the rules.”
— 1290 OCEAN AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Friendly neighbors, kinda quiet Cons: Water pressure, management response, pest control all is bad real bad Advice to landlord: Improve Cleanliness, get rid of pests”
“Pros: The only good thing about this building it the location, a laundry in the basement and good water pressure. Cons: When we first moved in, i have been asking the super and management to give us a better sink vanity and he said he ordered it and it will come soon. It is now December and still no vanity. I have a bad mouse smell coming from my apartment and nothing has been done. I believe the smell is coming from the walls. The manager does not reach out at all. No matter how many times you emailed him he just does not response at all. Advice to landlord: Please do better. People are paying good money to stay at your place so take care of it. Without your tenants money, you would not be able to put food in your mouth. This is a business and you need us to make sure tour business continues to grow.”
