★★★★★Feb 2026

Pros: The biggest advantage is the location. Greenpoint feels calmer than some other parts of Brooklyn but still has plenty of cafés, grocery stores, and subway access nearby. Getting into Manhattan was straightforward, and the neighborhood feels walkable and comfortable. The building itself felt organized and functional. My room had decent natural light and enough space to set up a small desk. Move-in was smooth, and everything was ready when I arrived. The common areas were practical and generally maintained well. Cons: Nothing extreme, but it’s not completely silent

Pros: The house is great, and I really like my room — everything is comfortable and well thought out. The amenities are excellent, and having a gym is a big plus. The in-unit washer and dryer were a lifesaver, and I loved having my morning coffee in the shared backyard. Cons: The walls are a bit thin, so you can occasionally hear neighbors.

★★★★★Oct 2025

Pros: The neighborhood is fantastic. The apartment itself is clean and modern, with everything you need to settle in right away. Though I’ll admit the price feels a bit steep for the area. That said, it’s hard to put a price on convenience. The all-inclusive monthly payment covers WiFi, utilities, and even cleaning services, which simplifies life so much. The building itself is charming, and I appreciate the attention to detail in the shared spaces. Cons: the kitchen appliances were a bit old and the oven didn’t always work properly

Pros: Solid choice for anyone looking for a vibrant, community-oriented environment. I shared the apartment with two others, and we all got along well. Cons: The only downside was a delay in WiFi setup when I first moved in, but other than that, it’s been smooth sailing.

★★★★Jul 2025

Pros: I stayed here for a while and honestly it was a chill experience. The spot’s in a great area, coffee shops, parks, and cool places to eat all around. My room was ready when I moved in, clean and furnished, nothing fancy but it did the job. Cons: Cleaning is not super often, so you kinda have to stay on top of your own space.

The shared kitchen was always clean. The apartments are spacious, and the location is convenient. Cons: My only issue was the noise from nearby construction, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

It helped me feel less homesick. Cons: My room didn’t get much sunlight in the mornings, but it stayed cool in the summer, so that was a trade-off.

★★★★Sep 2024

Pros: Killer location & great amenities Cons: Very transient neighbors which isn’t the worst or most unexpected thing in New York, but something to be aware of; cockroach haven; oftentimes loud residual building noise from neighbors

★★★★★Aug 2024

Pros: Shared backyard—which was great until neighbors threw loud parties and others smoked cigarettes and shouted at 4am. Great location. Heat and hot water included. Cons: Loud neighbors. Temporary apartments (mine was a true lease), so new people were in and out all of the time and it felt like a constant frat party. Cockroaches! So so so many. They tried to control it (sort of), but my apartment has roaches every day. Advice to landlord: Choose better tenants, enforce building rules, invest in roach management that works.

★★★★★May 2024

Pros: Location is great. W/D in-unit. Dog-friendly backyard. Cons: Because they offer short-term room rentals, I found the building to be filled with disrespectful neighbors VISITING New York for a number of months, so they were loud and you never knew who was living in the building. It felt like living in a college dorm. People would use the backyard as their office, which if you're facing it, means you can hear their long, drawn-out conversations. They would also throw parties and be up partying until 4am. Not cute. And if you don't like cigarette or pot smoke, the back yard is their haven. Cockroaches. OMG the cockroaches. In all fairness, they did spray once a month (by request), but the building is so old and has so many cracks that I had tons of traps out and would wake up to hear them flicking around. It was so gross. I know they exist and are hard to control, but paying $3500/month and still finding cockroaches nearly daily was not okay. They refused to fix a shower door that was missing. I had to put up a curtain so water didn't get everywhere. It's just silly. Noise: The walls/floors/doors are so thin. Morons in the gym would drop weights and it rattled my floor. Advice to landlord: Invest in some real improvements on the windows/insulation for noise and heat/air. Enforce rules on noise (for real). Every crack needs to be ceiled in the walls/floor and roach management needs to be taken more seriously.

★★★★Apr 2024

Pros: Good for short-term, long term if you get lucky with roommates. Its best for young adults who want to meet people and believe in communal living at top market prices. Cons: Small, dirty gym. Initially had insects but monthly exterminators helped and no issues since summer 2023. Shared wifi so it becomes unusable at times if you WFH, I was on hotspots most days.

★★★★Aug 2022

Pros: I liked the rooftop views and amenities. Cons: I didn't like how long it took for management to respond to maintenance requests. Advice to landlord: More responsiveness would be great!

★★★★★Jul 2022

Unit D4 Pros: Great location (~3 minutes to the G train); generally clean space. Cons: No elevator, neighborhood can be a bit noisy. Is owned by a co-living company, so tenants can range in quality. Ownership is very non-responsive. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive.

115 GREENPOINT AVENUE · Brooklyn
★★★★★Jun 2021

Pros: Closeness to manhattan, neighborhood, good food and stores nearby, laundry in apartment, kitchen equipment supplied to you Cons: Mold throughout building, stolen packages, BUGS!!!cockroaches fruit flies ants and gnat infestations, unresponsive management/they take forever to fix problems, they ignore gender preferences of tenants and their roommates, buildings arent numbered, overpriced for low quality, obnoxious roommates, rude house leaders, keyless access means that if your phone dies/bluetooth isnt connecting you cant get into your apartment, loud construction in the mornings Advice to landlord: Hire an exterminator that actually does something significant. Hire maintenance guys that actually know what they are doing when it comes to mold instead of just covering the underlying cause. Hire maintenance people that will actually respond to you. Get rid of the keyless access to avoid the problems that come with that system. Dont do the cheapest renovations possible and add unnecessary amenities to the building so you can raise the rent by $1,000 a month and maximize your own profit.

★★★★Apr 2021

Pros: Great location in Greenpoint, close to the water and many bars and restaurants. Units are spacious and charming with high ceilings and solid wood doors. Bathrooms and kitchens are modern. Large rooftop with amazing views. Cons: Very noisy street, motorcycles and trucks at all hours of the day go by. Landlord is incredibly unresponsive and they’re turning the units into long term Airbnbs. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to your tenants when they have issues

107 GREENPOINT AVENUE · Brooklyn
★★★★★Mar 2021

Pros: -Good location -Plenty of roof space -Regular visits from the exterminator Cons: -Manager needs to be confronted in person to get anything accomplished. Expect them to be unreachable otherwise. -The front door of the building to the street seems to lock only when it wants to. Expect packages to be stolen occasionally and homeless to sleep in the vestibule during winter months. Advice to landlord: There should be more consideration for the needs of the tenants while construction is ongoing.

★★★★★Dec 2020

Pros: Space is nice Roof is barren but open Super is extremely nice Pet friendly Good location Cons: Management turning the place into long term Airbnbs Management kinda shady, don’t have their number or address. New Latch system breaks all the time, expect packages stolen and getting locked out Parties during weeknight on the roofs at times Hire cheap contractors that don’t do their job properly Construction going on for longer than management said it would Gas isn’t free Advice to landlord: Hire union contractors that know how to run a job site and don’t go with the cheapest bidder. You won’t have as many issues every week if it is done properly in the first place.
