Sunnyside is Queens' most community-minded neighborhood — the Sunnyside Gardens historic district preserves 1920s planned housing, Skillman Avenue's restaurant row serves Turkish, Romanian, and Korean food, and the community garden culture is strong. It feels like a small town in the middle of Queens.
