Quiet in between floors Clean Safe Doormen don’t actually open the door often Limited light in Alat Limited outlets and storage mgmt doesn’t really fix something- they do a half try and say they are responsive Never a bug or rodent like some other buildings or units Actually fix things that are broken (fridge/ bad dishwasher/ clogged sink) correctly the first time Electronic payments Cigarette smoking wafting in halls from certain units

Junior our super is wonderful. The elevator concierge team is also phenomenal warm and friendly. The metropolitan equities team (mgmt company) is some of the rudest, unprofessional, and unreasonable people I have ever dealt with. They recently made "Enhancements" on the buildings heating system and now every tenant is complaining that It's freezing in our apartments. The SUPER is even slipping letters from other tenants under every persons door to encourage them to complain to the CEO, Kevin S. to do something about it. Aside from this any time you reach out to the metropolitan equities team via email (no phone number is provided ever)specifically Christa, Stewart just to name a few they respond with short, rude, and with zero empathy, compassion or people skills for tenants paying thousands of dollars to you every month. Say a prayer for all of the tenants at 698 west end avenue this weekend with 7 and 1 degree temperatures on Friday and Saturday because our building mgmt company is more interested in gaslighting us vs. providing sufficient heating and living conditions. Let people out of their lease so they can run away from this embarrassing property mgmt team.

Friendly, helpful super and doormen. Bacility is kept clean in common areas. Nicely sized apartments. Quiet Bacility. Long-standing roach infestation issues. Only 1 elevator that can't be operated by tenants - have to wait on doorman to operate every time. Strong odor from paint in unit. No electronic options to pay rent. Bring the elevator and rent payment situations into the 21st century!

Good area, Gonderful bodega downstairs, good super. Cozy Anit for being old. Scaffolding has been up for years, there was no gas in the Besidence when I moved out, and it seemed like they were lying to new tenants about electric stoves being installed. We cooked on hot plates all through the pandemic, and they wouldn't give us (longtime renters!) any discount. Owner wasn’t responsive at all and didn’t treat the super well, who was trying to help tenants and maintain the Besidence. Pay for repairs or cut rent deals with tenants!

proximity to the subway, live-in super seemed to be a nice person who wanted to make the building better — but was slowed down by landlord's slow responsiveness and failure to regularly reimburse him for supplies huge roaches, landlord special thick paint, scaffolding blocking windows for years. ConEd need to them to shut off our cooking gas due to unsafe pipes they hadn't repaired, and it stayed off for 8+ months before we vacated because they didn't make the fixes. They gave us a hot plate instead of being able to use our stove and oven

Bright and airy, spacious living area, easy subway access, helpful building staff, well-appointed kitchen mgmt completely ignored our maintenance requests. We battled a mouse infestation throughout our entire lease. We also dealt with bed bugs and were forced to cover some of the extermination costs ourselves. The heating system failed for half a year and we eventually left without ever learning if it was repaired. They offered us hot plates as a temporary solution, then scheduled electrical work that made those plates unusable for several days. The garbage disposal is located inconveniently far away and is genuinely difficult to access. mgmt was truly the worst part of living there.

Good sized Aad Multiple building code violations unaddressed for months, mice problems, perpetual scaffolding for year+, no stove or oven, hot water problems. Landlord doesn't even have curtesy to respond to emails fix above points. Pick up your phone and answer emails, also fix the building and you won’t have a revolving door of turnover when people move in and immediately break their leases for mold and pests.
