Unit 4D Pros: Never have to worry about pests or dirtiness. Also have never had my packages stolen. Cons: The building didn't respond very promptly to my roommate's complaints about her heat turning off while it was still a bit chilly out.

Pros: great view, love the surrounding stuytown property and community, close to trader joes/whole foods/target Cons: pests, cigarette smell, highway dust, heat is too strong in winter, no light in living room, small bathroom prone to mold, bit of a walk to the subway

Unit 6E Pros: Building kept clean, laundry in building and great access to greenspace, safe and quiet if your apt is interior to the building (facing away from 14th and 1st ave) Cons: Did occasionally have breakdowns - e.g., pipe burst that took out laundry for 2 months (though did compensate on rent etc)

Unit 2F Pros: - Great sense of community! - Big apartments for price! - amazing green space access Cons: - Sometimes takes a while for management to come to fix minor things because they prioritize bigger issues. - Lots of over turn with neighbors Advice to landlord: Keep carpets cleaner in hallways.

Pros: The building was clean, neighbors were generally quiet. Even when the nearest neighbor had parties, occasionally, my roommate and I couldn't really hear things. It's great that Stuytown has a private green area, esp. during spring / summer. Good amount of light, especially given the kind of low floor I was on and the relatively small size of the windows. Cons: Cold! My room was on a corner. During the winter it was cold enough to mean I'd have to wear fingerless gloves inside on the days I worked from home to type. I can't really explain the specifics of why, but I think due to the age of the wiring I couldn't use a space heater. Tripped the breaker. Advice to landlord: Fix the heat!

Unit 2F Pros: Building is old but well maintained, although service requests via email and phone can take a while sometimes to get an appointment, they are far better than average and very responsive with most fixes at no cost (e.g. broken curtains). Heating is good, no messing around in terms of not being on at the right times. Good property team - in terms of garbage and recycling and keeping shared spaces clean. Well maintained and clean and safe and pretty community area, with coffee shop/little bar. Security keeps things very safe. Cons: Nothing major - maybe if maintenance requests could have quicker appointments but no problems over the year here. Advice to landlord: None
