Pros: Great management, responsive to work order requests, clean apt and hallways, lovely porter Cons: In the winter the noise from the pucks hitting the walls of the ice rink reverberated up the walls quite loudly but that was the only remotely negative about my two years there

Pros: Great location. Right by the east village so near a ton of restaurants. Close to the L train and Union Square subway station. Lots of families, feels like its own little neighborhood in the city. Resident Services is very responsive. Generally no major issues but whenever small things come up like a clogged shower, maintenance will always come in a timely manner to fix it. Cons: It’s an old building so the walls are very thin. Pipes can get loud occasionally in the winter, and since management manages the temperature, sometimes it can be too hot and other times it will be too cold.

Pros: Maintenance is fast, units are nice and spacious, community feeling Cons: Black floors look dirty very quickly. Laundry in building is expensive and dryers don’t work very well ;( I complained about this though and they did full dryer repairs in my building that did help). Not a ton of significant cons; I’m just ready to move into a nicer space in a different area.

Pros: roomy apartment, very responsive management when appliances had issues or something, laundry room, three different kinds of internet including fios. 24 hour security. Separated from the city so it's pretty quiet. Right by the east river bikeway. Garbage chutes. Looks expensive, but I'd argue it's a very "fair" price for everything you get. Cons: the building is solid concrete, so sound travels through walls. Sort of has a "projects" vibe to it. Amenities cost more money, including the gym, package reception. Separated from the city, I had to walk like 10 minutes to get to 1st and 14th. Doesn't really feel like you're in an NYC neighborhood, feels more like a gated community or a University dorm. No roof access. Advice to landlord: Open up the lawn for access when it snows!!!
