David and Peter are wonderful and have been so helpful. Always go above and beyond to help me. They always do what they commit to do and make me feel valued and taken care of as a tenant. I know I can depend on them and that makes a big difference for me.

I was searching on the Upper West Side, as well as the Upper East Side. My fiance was definately leaning towards UES but I convinced him otherwise after seeing the rooftop here. As far as negative aspects.... I'm obsessed with the Trader Joes. I spend too much time in there.

We had a horrible experience with this building. For the price we paid we expected more. As another reviewer said things were always breaking. The towel rack was always falling down. The cord on the blinds broke constantly as careful as your tried to be. Things break, but the real problem was when you called to get anything fixed they acted like it was your fault. I was condescendingly taught over and over again how to open the blinds carefully. "The cords are very sensitive," they would say. Why don't you replace them? The doors are heavy metal doors with a cool modern look, but they have injured my daughter & I, as well as, our neighbor's son. My daughters injury after I had complained about the doors led to an ER trip. The building was unsympathetic & STILL refused to do anything about these doors. The fire on the roof as well as the advertised movie screen have never worked (we lived there 2 years!) If you'd like to have a party renting the roof space will cost you $5000. Also the in unit Washer & Dryers were awful. Constantly breaking & if not still took 2 and a half hours to dry.

The Corner is a very new building. It prides itself on top of the line, stylish fixtures and amenities. But, it was designed strictly with aesthetics in mind. Living there is very frustrating. There is NO cell phone service, and the intercoms have a tendency to break. The appliances work poorly (kitchen gets smoky all the time, A/C constantly malfunctions and does not reach the whole apartment, bathroom is freezing in winter, sinks have flat bottoms and do not drain and easily get dirty). The water pressure is bad (you will need to buy your own shower head). Water does not get hot in the shower. The fans in the bathroom are ineffective (need to shower with bathroom door open or the bathroom will be inpenetrably misty). The towel rack in the bathroom always falls on the ground. The layout of the apartment makes no sense (there is hardly any counter space, shelving, or drawers in the kitchen - the shelves that there are are very narrow and deep so there is significant wasted space). The gym is not 24 hours as advertised. The roof deck is not open all year as advertised - instead it is only a few months out of the year (there is a fireplace up there that is never on, the furniture is gone from the fall until Memorial day, and there is a grill that has never been hooked up). Breakfast is served but it is terrible and runs out by 8 am or earlier (think fruit, bread, and a coffee machine that's always broken). There are always tractor trailers parked in front of the building for Duane Reader or Trader Joe's. There is also constant drilling in the building during the day (so you'd better not be there). Management is OK. The building is in a convenient location. All in all, it is an OK building. Is it worth the sky high rent? No - you can find other luxury buildings for much cheaper. The place was designed stupidly and has no cell phone service.
