I lived here for a year and would not recommend this building due to extremely poor property management. They nickel-and-dime residents and are consistently unhelpful. The trash rooms, which also serve as the laundry rooms, are frequently dirty, and the machines are often out of order. Elevator wait times are excessive. We went without consistent hot water for approximately eight months. Despite countless service requests, the issue was never properly resolved. Hot water would work for a day and then stop again. The move-out process is unnecessarily difficult and made even more frustrating by management’s lack of communication and support. In particular, Wilson Bernard was unreliable, unhelpful, and rude. Management avoids meeting with residents in person and instead hides behind emails. The only positive aspect of living here is the building staff. The doormen, mailroom team, and maintenance workers are all excellent and truly the sole bright spot of this building.

Let me first say that the only saving graces in this building are the doormen and package room guys. Think twice before renting from this place, especially if they are offering “discounted” prices. You’ll see why come lease renewal time. I rented a unit at a discounted price during the pandemic (January 2021) and they wasted no time jacking the price back up - without one word of warning at the initial lease signing. I’m no novice to increases during renewal time, so I expected my rent to go up by maybe $100 or even $250 more per month. Typical increases, right? Nope. First renewal increase was $544 more per month, and the second was $443 more. Not to mention the “supplemental security deposit” (difference between renewal rent and current rent) required at renewal. These were the LOWEST increases of the options they offered. Anything less than an 18-month lease (i.e. month-to-month, 6 months, 12 months) would cost $2K+ more per month to renew. And all options go well above the cost of living wage increase. Also, they mostly rent to tenants who are just out of college. Severely immature and lacking the slightest bit of consideration or awareness of the other tenants. The building management sends out REGULAR reminders that tenants should not be throwing things out if their windows. They actually have to remind people not to do that. So yeah, the building is basically just a glorified frat house.

We have awful neighbors that have parties every weekend night and some week day nights for the past 7 months. These parties routinely go until 3-4 AM. On NYE, the party went until 6:30 AM. We have contacted management who has been completely unhelpful. I would not move to this building if I was looking based on how management has treated this situation.
