I've lived in various full-service buildings in Manhattan for the past several decades and never had a single problem with any staff member anywhere. Until I moved into Tower 67, which has the worst staff I've ever encountered. Rude, unprofessional and completely inappropriate behavior is not uncommon. And after trying to address the problem with management, it only got worse. Many things break in the apartment (management is infamously cheap with fixing things despite this being an expensive building) and the staff acts annoyed when called upon to fix things. The heat is very poor, the heaters are old so you will need to buy your own supplemental heater. And the AC units are terribly loud. Speaking of loud, the noises from other apartments are especially loud. I can hear my upstairs neighbors' every step. The two good things about this building are location and apartment size (they are larger than average) but the horrible staff and old outdated features are really a downer.

Horrible service provided by those who don't speak the same language as we do. Handymen are terribly lazy and have no respect for the tenants. We are amazed by the PAN AM Equity (the management company) who hired those people. The worst thing has happened to the tenants is that if you tried to reach out to PAN AM Equities, your phone call would be diverted to the handymen in the building.

I would tell anyone considering this building to avoid it. The staff is fearful of doing anything that is beyond the barest minimum of repairs. The building elevators have not functioned for over four years - and with 400 units and only 4 elevators - the average wait time can sometimes exceed 20 minutes. The staff and management company are less than professional - and it's not a tenant friendly building. There are children in the bldg; but not all units have W/D. In order to get to the laudry room - you must go the second floor - and walk down a flight of stairs. The apts are dated - and the newly renovated units are done using very cheap materials. One of the poorest values for your money on the UWS. Albeit the location is good - with all the surrounding construction sites - and the fire department on Amsterdam and 67th; it can be very noisy - and incredibly dirty....No need to pay a broker for this building; the management office is PanAm equities.

There are several other apartments in the vicinity that are cheaper. The building does not have a gym. The elevators are crowded during rush hours. The laundry room is on a mezanine floor which is only reachable by the service elevator which keeps breaking down. Not all apartments have a built in washer dryer. Overall avoid....

Very noisy due to remarkably cheap insulation and materials; cheap cabinets and overall cheap quality of materials and installations; poor overall facilities and worst elevator service ever encountered (Takes about 15mins on average to get an elevator).

Since the change in management a few years ago the place has gone from quite good to terrible. I can't wait to get out. Virtually nothing works properly. The elevators in particular a very poor -- sometimes requiring a TEN MINUTE wait. The management company are almost laughably incompetent. The staff and building management are nice enough but unhelpful if they like you kind of rude if they don't. Location is good -- but loud as others have pointed out -- but this is in no way a class A building.

This building has one big upside - price per square foot. Large apartments compared to the price. No Gym, crazy insane problem with the elevators which just got better recently (you could wait for 20 minutes for the elevator while they were working on them). The biggest problem is the management in my eyes. Throughout the elevator problems they were nasty and uninterested in any of the complaints, let alone were they willing to compensate anyone for it (think about waiting for the elevator for 20 minutes a day for eight months and you will be thinking compensation too). Garage is super well run and kept. Overall, if you are not too spoiled you get a great location and space for your buck. You do have to deal with nasty management and nothing more than ok staff, but whatever

Move in if you are def. Terrible noise insulation. And terrible location: - You're stuck between Amsterdam ave and Broadway (these are highway-sized avenues with constant traffic jams and honking cabs plus about 5-10 fire trucks and ambulances will drive by everyday, and also at night!). - Surrounded by 3 construction sites going on from 8am till dusk 6/7 days. - Starting at 7am, it will sound like the traffic jam is next to your bed, or in your shower. That won't stop until 9pm at night. You heard me. It's a 12h long traffic jam around there. - You'll hear ALL your neighbors, below, above, beside you. It looks old. Hallways smell like trash and are minimally lit up, no A/C. My dishwasher is as old as the building (over 20 years). The best for the end. Staff. Beside one or two guys that are decent, the staff is unfriendly, never helps, and some are just rude and have no manners. All similar buildings have gyms. No gym here. Only one positive: space. These are large apartments for Manhattan. Do not move in there. I am counting the days until I get out.

I have lived in this building for over 2 years and can say I am glad it is coming to an end. This is the worst run "luxury" building in the entire city. The onsite management is a joke. Clearly George has been working at this building way to long to be effective. Any complaints to him he just shrugs off and blames on offsite management. He is completely ineffective and frankly treats those who work in the building like animals. As for offsite management, they are basically slumlords. Anyone looking into moving into this building should ask 10 people they meet in the elevators when they go see the apartment how it is to live there. Then they will go running. I would be shocked if they got one good review.......
