Tower 67 is a horrible building. The hallways are not air conditioned, the elevators have been under a 18 mth renovationa dn still do not work 10-20 % of the time. The apartments are cheaply finished. The staff is generally unhelpful. The on-site manager is horrible. KEEP LOOKING.

Today it took me over 15 minutes to exit the building. I waited 10 minutes for an elevator to arrive at my floor and then at least another 5 minutes while the un-air-conditioned elevator made 10 stops on the way to the lobby. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG? The building in its infinite wisdom decided that it wouldn't use the freight elevator to move a tenant's wall partition upstairs and, during rush hour this morning, use one of the passenger elevators. This is not a new problem in the building. At least every other week this is a problem. I spoke to both management and the front desk staff this morning. Not only were they NOT apologetic but they were defensive, unhelpful and unprofessional.

Wish I read the prior review before just moving in! This place SUCKS! Broker took me in at night so I had no idea I would be woken up every morning at 7AM by 2 construction sites right next door! Who lets construction start so early?!? And the sirens in the neighborhood keep you up at night and I am on one of the highest floors. And there are RATS running around outside from all the construction! Elevators slow. Mgmt HORRIBLE! They have been totally nasty and unhelpful. Don't move into this place. Overpriced and terrible.

Do NOT move into this building! NOISY! paper-thin walls, lack of insulation between floors (hear both up/down and right/left neighbors), thin glass windows, and massive construction projects on multiple sides of the building (which are taking away the views). You will literally be woken at 7am every day by jackhammers. Also, the management company is incredibly non-responsive and rude. They run the place so rigidly that you cannot even carry in more than a few small packages. And maintenance is sub-par. It took them three long attempts to correctly install a washer-dryer - it almost collapsed during operation and would have caused major problems.

Building rents are on the pricey side, but you are paying for a good quality apartment in a great location. Building staff for the most part is quite good. Package room is well run. Building just replaced the elevators so their was major disruption during this process but only the service elevator is left to do. The service elevator is a major plus. Main downside is that that if you do not have or want to deal with kids, then this may not be a good fit. The building has converted a lot of the Junior fours to two bedrooms and the building now has over 125 kids. For the most part not a big issue, but there are a small subset whose parents seem to think a screaming kid in the elevator or lobby is not a big issue. Also, some of the nannys are nasty and think talking load on the cell phone in the elevators is ok - and they just shove the strollers in whether there is room or not. Got to speak with management on this! Parking is available in the building for monthly only - which is great because they have clear rules to ensure your car is not banged up. And the garage is very well run. Call for your car and it is ready when you get to the garage, particularly if you use it regularly. There is laundry on the second floor (which only the service elevator stops on so you have to call for the service elevator, do it between 6-11 pm when the service elevator is on call, or walk from the third to second to do laundry. Most people send it out, and some new renovated units have laundry in the apartment. No noise issues between apartments - I have a new born next door and never heard her screams (to the surprise of her parents). Noise from the street can be heard through the glass - Mainly just hte fire trucks from the fire house two blocks south on Amsterdam. Grounds - nothing special. Goofy statues in the fountain - with think the owner picked them up in a salvage sale from a Broadway play's closing. Maintenance - they are on the job - just call and the staff is there. Staff, overall, quite good - the low performers get tossed.
