I love living there overall. As i mentioned before thete is a noise problem sometimes late at night when the neighbors decide to share their disagreements theough the walls and people leaving their stuff in thr hallway

the outside of the building is great and the location is fantastic. However the finishes inside the apartment are cheaper than what you get for the same money in other newer building (e.g. closets are wire racks, cabnits are plastic, facets are of the lowest quality.

So happy to rent my place with such a gorgeous view in a beautiful building with a great stuff of people working here! I would definitely recommend Avalon Morningside to everyone who is looking for clean, safe, brand-new and in overall amazing building.

avalon morningside park is a new community in this neighborhood, and i think its great for students who go to college in this area. It has the most spacious bedrooms and bathrooms compared to almost every other building in this part.

It is good to commute to my college, because it is close to my school. For this reason, I recommended to my friends who were Columbia students. However, the rental price is not cheap to college students.

I have had a very friendly and nice service of the representatives green and beautiful environment around of the community Overall: a good place to live for renting a year or two in the Manhattan area

When i came here firstly, i just went around looking for apartment. Fortunately, i walked in the avalon office and i met Yolanda who was a nice professional staff as well as a broker. She had full patience for introducing apartments for me helping me to deal with some documents. At that moment i decided to live here, because i looked around the whole build. i am quite satisfying where i am living now. The space is comfortable which is a little bit higher than the other floor. Moreover, the lounge which is in second floor is pretty amazing for people who would like to relax or have a small part. there is a pool table over which is my boyfriend's favorite! I mean, avalon is a quite professional residential.

Don't expect to get your security deposit back even if the person going over the unit declares is impeccable. After 5 hours of cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing, etc. They charged me $134 for 6 hours of 'general cleaning.' There was absolutely NOTHING to clean. They claim 8 hours of painting - this is a joke. So, be warned about your security deposit. The construction is cheesy and it is merely an illusion of safety. ANYONE can walk in and out of the building without so much as a murmur from the front desk. I would never recommend Avalon to anyone. The washing machine has no cold water, so expect all clothing to be washed in hot water, even if the label calls for a cold water wash. M. Pellegrino

Once I found this apartment I thought the deal was great, but my perspective changed drastically. Upon move in, my apartment was filthy, overhead lights were blown out, and the counters were damaged by previous tenants. I luckily called downstairs to have my apartment inspected and from the sounds of it, no one completed an inspection before my move in. Not to mention, there's a pricey security deposit for cleaning after move out, so I wonder what happened? I encountered numerous difficulties thereafter. I emailed one staff member twice and didn't hear a response for days. I had to physically go downstairs at the right time and talk to that person. A more recent incident is when a teenager walked in (past the concierge may I add) and broke into someone's apartment. This person walked away red handed too. What did any of the staff do here? I honestly thought this building would be a lot safer since the rent is overpriced as it is. They now have security but it's only temporary. Before renting here, also know that the gym is $50 more per month and the yoga studio they advertise no longer exists. The ATM machine downstairs has been broken for months and they haven't made efforts to fix it. If you're looking for a good location, give this place a try, but I definitely would recommend living elsewhere.

We loved living here and were sad when we had to move. The management (Franchot, Nick and Barbara were incredible so I really wanted to write a review. We lived in a studio overlooking the church and it was so quiet. We had friendly neighbors and enjoyed the positive energy in the building. As for the actual inside of apartments the appliances and material used are high end. They are also very dog friendly which to me is very important. If you are looking for an apartment in this area I strongly suggest you give this building a try. You will not be disappointed.
