This is Not a place for anyone.! The ladies in the office are extremely dismissive when tenants file complaints on another tenant for harassment. A single mother have called the police 8 + times over vandalism to her vehicle, window busted out of her apartment and stalking - all within a weeks time. ----- and ------- (management) stated that they didn't care if she is a Victim of a crime with ongoing investigations. They put a 10- Day eviction notice on the victims door, yesterday. And, my vehicle was vandalized on October 31, 2023 while parked in front of the office waiting for the Victim to give Management a written statement that they requested and then they turned around and used it against the Victim, because (Law Enforcement was involved)to evict her. And, yes the Police was called every time. So, No.... this is not a safe environment for anyone trying to raise kids. There's no security on the property. That is a LIE! Their other statement when told that another's tenant is having her guest vandalise property....was the other tenant is allowed to have guests! -----, even stated the other tenants boyfriend name after we told her that he is the get away driver! Given, that this is a HUD subsidized low income apartment complex. HUD will be notified and the Victim/Evicted Tenant will see management in Court. This is illegal, non ethical and possibly discrimination!

I will try to be quick with this but word of advice don't move here it isn't worth it you'll be wasting time and Gina Anderson defiantly will play you like a fool. These apartments are a joke, My fiancee' (now wife) and I spoke with Gina and mentioned the the reviews she said don't worry people leave negative reviews to bring down a place that is luxury. Gina ask did we want a top or bottom floor we said top she said she had one available which was good but she said it wasn't ready yet....generally at apartments you don't mention unprepared units. Gina said she had a model home ready for us to see we seen it and was impressed so we signed everything paid the deposit and said we want to move in June 22nd. Long story short Gina got our move in date wrong instead of putting the 22nd she put the 15th never send the confirmation of us being accepted by the apartment we didn't know how much first month's rent was and we still wasn't able to see our unit because it wasn't ready until the day we moved in. I spoke with Vanessa she said she would change our date to the 22nd and we would need prorate plus first months rent ( Gina didn't mention this prorated) Vanessa and I went back and forth out the prorate then she just said pay the prorate. Move in day I cam 30mins before closing because my friends were helping use move Gina rudely said it's 30mins to close and you should have come earlier now I have to stay later ( I apologized of course but I was working with my friends schedules) I got my keys and had to find my own way to my unit since GINA had to close. My friends and I checked for electricity that worked but the hot water out the sink wouldn't shut off, The light outside was broken, chips on the wall, stove that wouldn't turn on and the worse issue was roaches on the floors in the refrigerator/dishwasher and the bathroom. I went to the leasing office to try and catch Gina but she was gone I ran into Carlos the so called maintenance manager and he just turned off my hot water and plugged in the stove and said make a ticket to get your water issue fixed. I marked up the move paper with our concerns took it to Gina the next day and she insulted me and my partner saying "you asking to many question is this your first apartment" We told her no she said she would look into the issues being addressed. Long story short it's being 3 weeks since we've been here we gave them until the 6th to fix the issues mostly the broken stuff is good but we still have roaches Gina threaten to call the police on use because she had better thing to do instead of helping us...we spoke to the director Joe Lee and he won't help he mentioned we done all we could.....do yourself a favor stay far away the other reviews that are one stars are the most accurate everyday and night roaches crawl on use we use to eat out now we need to save money to look for a new place once lease is up. I you want better look at 4 and 5 star places because every other apartment we stayed in never was this bad...the saddest thing is if you can take my word for this I have video/picture proof of all the pest, broken appliances and paperwork showing how the pest were never address. Look elsewhere or you'll be stuck like us until lease is up. Also another weird thing I just notice Gina place a 5 star review seemingly to boost the rating of this place....Suspicious right?

These apartments are nice apartments. However if you are an animal lover this is not the place for you ! The pet deposit is 750.00$ that's crazy! That's rent ! The highest I've ever heard in one place is 400.00$ and no you can not make payments. That's upsets me and many others .

Wood Forest Apartments are poorly ran by the property manager Vanessa. She was very dishonest and unprofessional. I cleaned the apartment thoroughly before exiting, turned in the keys, turned in the remotes and yet and still kept full deposit and then turned around and billed me for petty items. Like dust on the ceiling fans. Really?? I would not advise anyone to ever stay here they also had bedbugs which caused me to throw away all material furniture even after they sprayed the unit.

When I first moved here it was quite. Now it is really bad. People are getting robbed at gun point and apartments are getting broken into in the day time. They are jumping the gates to rob you. In the summer time you can't even swim because they jump the gate and get in the pool. Managers are so tired of the complaints that they lock the pool. There is a serious ant problem in the summer time. IT'S HELL DONOT MOVE HERE!!! The security guard is sleep or you never see them and the cops that did live here was ran away by the ------ next to the apartments.

I came in to look at a one bed room study. the young lady that toured me was very attentive to my needs. the floor plans were nice and the overall property was clean. This will be my first apartment so in a couple of months i plan on moving there.

I've rode by these aparrments several times while visiting a friend in the neighborhood and these apartments have always been the nicest and cleanest in the area. Now they've added gates, when I'm ready to move in a few months I will be sure to keep them in mind. I stopped by out of curiosity last week to see what the inside look like and I must say they were actually nice and to be as old as they are they are well maintained.
