We've live here for over 3 years 1st apartment was didn't have any problems maybe an occasional roach, tree roaches obviously. The apartment that im currently in is horrible. Roaches Roaches Roaches Roaches!!!! i have sprayed outside and inside every area that they could potentially come in from. That is the worst thing that i can think of about these apartments. They are in the grass areas really bad. I walk my dog and he always spots one or a few. If you move here be prepared to have dual cans of raid drawing from your pocket when the seasons change from hot to cold. I have seen about 8 cars and trucks sitting on bricks in the mornings. If you have a new car please don't move here. Bathrooms are small, very small. The best thing about these apartments are the location, but they are probably best described as the "Ghettos of Tanglewood" If you don't mind roach proofing your apt, and having to buy new tires and wheels every month. Move here!

I lived here for about a year... some good-some bad. Good - the maintenance people are really fast. If I called... they were out within the same day, sometimes within the hour!! and the location is great for the price... Bad - The ROACHES!! Seriously, I could not handle it. I am terrified of them, so maybe that's why it was a deal breaker, but we sprayed constantly and it did not help. It was a total deal breaker for me. The walls are also thin... could always hear neighbors upstairs walking around... Also... they have taken all the gates off... really? NOT worth that The price is great... but it was just old and could not deal with the bugs.

I have lived in these apartments for about a year now (my lease is up in a month THANK GOD!) and it has to be by far one of the worst apartments i have lived in Houston. Where to begin with all the issues...oh yeah...well i moved in a year ago knowing this place wouldn't be super fancy. Come on i was paying $620 for a one bedroom in the Galleria...that is super cheap but i didnt expect it to be this crappy at all. During the day of the move i decided that i wanted to wash my dishes from being wrapped in paper but of course when i went to use the dishwasher it was broken and took them TWO weeks to fix...i had been there an hour and already had a serious issue. I mean come on...who lets someone move in and something is broken. Then after a month of living there we get some rain and my roof leaked all over my coffee table. I reported it and it was "fixed" then 3 months later when we actually get more rain another spot leaked luckily it was between my furniture. Then last Wednesday when we get rain again my roof leaked all over my couch! I do not know if ya'll know what water looks like from a leaking roof but it is brown! Brown water all over my khaki couch! The leak has still not been fixed but they are "fixing" it today supposedly. They said this time they are actually replacing it. After the 3rd time of leaking. The guy who came in to look at it even told me he had 120 other residents with roof leaks! 120!!! Obviously there is a problem. Not to mention i have some of the worst neighbors ever. I live by an apartment full of girls that come home at 4 in the morning sounding like a herd of elephants walking by my apartment. The walls are super thin..your neighbors sneeze you feel like they are right beside you. And the last thing i want to complain about is the pools. I was here for a year and only swam in my pool once recently because after EIGHT months they finally cleaned the pools because it was GREEN! I would rather pay more money for an apartment than live here again and that is why i am moving.

Who tows their own Resident's car in the middle of the night, charges them $200 for not updating their parking sticker and refuses to empathize that the resident had to miss half a days work to sort out this mess? Yes, its Tanglewood Court. Let me describe my apartment to you - its full of Mold, Bathroom is peeling in all places, sound proofing is NIL, I wake up at night because the A/C duct makes a disturbingly loud noise, the A/C has conked off twice last week, the main gates to the building have been broken for months - hence there is absolutely no security for the cars or people. Clearly, this apartment complex has NO money, and what better way to make money than to tow their own residents cars and charge them $200? Is there really no better way to enforce a parking sticker rule? I am going to get out of here and never come back ever again.

If I wanted to live in the ------ I would have moved to the ------ and saved a few hundred bucks. I simply cannot wait until my lease is up. To list the few things wrong with this place: 1. NO HOT WATER AGAIN. Not to mention there was no hot water for about two weeks straight during the coldest winter days, it is off again. Sure it's hot outside, but I still don't like to take showers with icy cold water. I pay for hot water, so I demand hot water. It is constantly off and on. 2. My washer has not been working for more than a WEEK, and still nobody has fixed. They keep saying first thing tomorrow. I understand things get broken or need repair, but I also expect prompt response from maintanence. More than a week is far from prompt, and who knows how much longer I have to wait. 3. Neighboors are of questionable quality. Noisy, dirty and inappropriate. Constantly drinking in front of complex and saying inappropiate things. There's dog poop everywhere; people too lazy and dirty to pick up after their dog. 4. It SMELLS. The apartment just smells bad always. It comes from within. It never goes away no matter how much you clean or how many candles you light. 5. Management is incompetent. They spend their time sticking silly notes on peoples doors instead of focusing their time on real issues the complex faces. They focus on trivial matters no one cares about and ignore the real issues. Incompetent. 6. Poor insulation. Incredibly hot. So, if you want to live in a place like this, or simply can't afford more, you might as well live in the ------ and pay less.

No air conditioning, Houston summer heat, and apathetic management.

My family and I have lived here for two years... In the beginning its wasn t all that bad. Very quiet and cozy. But over time it s just gone downhill. The Gates are now open 24/7 never locked! Every time I called the front office in regards to the gates, I would get some excuse about how there in the process of being fixed that was 5 months ago! Cars are being broken into left and right. The Roads are full of pot holes and the pool are ALWAYS green, unless it s in the middle of the winter and there s no need to clean them . LAZY!!!! Maintenance is crap, when it come to fixing anything they are just plan LAZY! I have had numerous things fall apart in our apartment and when Maintenance was called they didn t show up until two days later. And when they do show up they leave a huge mess. I have had to steam clean my carpets three times because of them! Also you would think the front office would hire people who speak English! Really??? We are in America right????? It very frustrating to have a Maintenance guy come to your apartment and not understand a word your saying. O the Bugs!!! I had our apartment sprayed 3times and they still come back. And most every other time the bath water is BROWN!!! Gross! And the bath tubes peal yes I said peal. Simply because they are too LAZY to have them replaced! The only reason we have stayed as long as we did was because of the location/Job. The only good thing in this place is that it is quite and its close to everything. But its defiantly not worth it anymore, If you are considering living here . Don t!

I've lived at Tangle Wood Court apartments for close to two years now and its been miserable since I've got here. If it wasnt for the location and no where else to go at the time I would've been gone a long time ago. I'll be out in August thankfully! But yeah lets break down these apartments. The gates dont work, so if you think you have security in the galleria area, you're very wrong. This is a criminals dream. Its the galleria area, the gates are wide open for anyone to walk in, and theres no security! My car window has been broken 3 times since I've been here and I know more then 10 others that have had the same problem. So as far as the "cheap" apartments statement, thats no longer in effect when you're paying $200 for a new car window and more money for missing valuables. But wait, go to the office and report it? Haha, that wont get you anywhere, they do nothing about it except tell you to make a police report, that does a lot. There security they say is 2 cops that live there that drive around the complex once a day for 2 minutes, so if theres any crime in that 2 minute frame, they'll be sure to stop it, haha. Half the pools look like crap and are closed during the summer and theres never any chairs in any of the pool areas except for the first one next to where the "co workers" live. The apartment buildings themselves are in terrible shape, building codes out the kazoo are in violation. The buildings get cockroaches all the time and all they do is send someone in your place for 10 seconds with their invisible spray. The roaches come right back. There are water stains everywhere because the building is just coming down. The insalation is terrible so if you think you're saving money in electric, you're very wrong. Also the Air conditioning in the apartments work half the time in several apartments I know. In last but not least, it use to be descent people living here. Nice people I didnt mind living around. Now that this place is coming to an end their trying to get every penny they can by allowing ------ people to live here. Drug dealers, annoying obnoxious loud people that scream because their in fights with their partners. So if you think you're moving here because of the rent pay and location, think of all the cons, because theres way more cons then pros. These apartments are falling apart and the staff that tries to keep them together dont know what their doing. I mean, hey look around. Gates still open, ------ people moving in, cars broken into, apartments falling apart, green pools, slow maitenance people, and the list goes on. I have nothing to hide. If you want to know more about this apartment complex, email me and ask. I'll be happy to tell you how not good this ---- hole is. [email protected] Sincerely, Dustin ROsen

I recently moved out after having lived at Tanglewood for almost a year and a half because my job is taking me away from Houston. I do not regret my decision to live at these apartments at all. I got a simple, spacious apartment for a dirt cheap price. Like others have noted, this is an old property, so you should not expect there to be no problems. About 6 months into my stay I experienced a roach problem which occurred through no fault of management's but rather because my neighbors decided to live like pigs, trash their place, and then leave town. It did take multiple sprayings to get the problem fixed, but it got fixed and management was a great help in resolving the situation. My other neighbor told me that he had lived in the complex for 7 years and had never had any problems like that, so it was more an anomaly owed to the practices of the residents. The gates are broken a good deal of the time, but I never left any valuables in my car, and it was never broken into. Rebecca, Katie, and Heidi in the management office were always professional and incredibly helpful with everything. To reiterate, if you are looking for a high-end, new property this is not the place for you. However, if you can handle problems from time to time in exchange for a place with a great location in the Galleria with large square footage at a cheap price, I don't know if you will find places much better. Note: Rent has recently risen. Rent was originally $535 per month for a 1 bedroom/1 bath when I moved in at the end of Jan. 2010 but had I signed a new lease in June 2011, the rent would have jumped to something like $670.

I notice the couple nonsense posts that CLEARLY by management, rating this hell hole a 5 or 4...Does management think we are stupid?? all these horrible posts and out pops a 5 star rating?! It angers me because people need to know what kind of trouble they are getting themselves in to when signing a lease here! Walls are so thin I can actually hear the people's phone vibrate upstairs!!! Not to mention the fights! My ceiling is always shaking from the crazy couple upstairs fighting. not to mention the neighbor's crazy antics screaming at the top of her lungs at her boyfriend outside her apartment in the early hours of the morning!! My car has been broken in to twice!!!!!!! costing me soooo much money! everything is falling apart. they do sneaky things to make the apartment look nice and then a few days into living there, you see all the cut corners! painting over dead bugs, cabinets falling off because they stuck a nail in there to hold while you look at the apartment, outlet covers falling off because of the same reason, toilet handles falling off, etc....not to mention the lovely brown water i had a few months ago. the neighbors are awful!!! some people are here to live and mind their own business, then there are a lot of people here who try to question you, know when you have been on vacation, watch you as you walk by, etc. I have a major creep of a neighbor who scares the hell out of me because I know he is up to NO good!!! not safe for a female!! i CANNOT wait until i can get the hell out of here!!!!!!!!!!!! oh and the management ALWAYS conveniently have excuses for EVERYTHING, which would fly well if we were morons! do yourself a favor and disregard the BS posts by management to cover up what is really going on around this crappy place
