Would not recommend staying at CityPlace Montrose. Main issues below: - Mold: Attaching photos from professional mold inspection. There was mold in my unit and when discovered, management refused to remediate the issue. When I asked to be let out of my lease since they did not want to remediate the issue, they informed me that I would be responsible for the rent until the end of my lease. - Management: Whenever there was an issue (key fob not working, locked out of the building on the coldest night of the year, mold in the unit, etc.) I would reach out to management through call/email with no response. They would call at random times, I would inform them that I am working and would appreciate if they could provide a response through email. When I would follow up, they could not recall any phone conversation. Also, I was charged upon move out for indents in the carpet due to furniture. Not a stained carpet but charged so the company could essentially vacuum a few times to remove dents in the carpet that are due to normal furniture placement after a year. I have never heard of that charge before so it seems to be a money grab. - Infrastructure (not something that can be changed but an important note): the construction quality was poor. It sounded as if my upstairs neighbors were filming a Stomp The Yard sequel throughout the day, but it was due to the flooring, not practicing a new dance sequence. If you have a package delivered outside of working hours (11-5:30 M-F), you will need to meet with the delivery person outside since there is no way for them to enter the building, no dedicated package room, and management does not hold packages. I've had a few packages stolen unfortunately and the response was "ship the package somewhere else". Management was notified of these many issues and did nothing to remediate them which is the focus of my review. No place is perfect but customer service and ability to resolve issues is important. CityPlace Montrose failed in that aspect. I've lived in a variety of apartment complexes and residences across 4 states in the past decade and I can confirm that this was my worst experience by far.

I applied to live here and the process took almost two weeks. I called constantly for updates because I am short on time. It was made clear my application was of no importance to them. In the end I was denied and the reasoning was absurd. A simple phone call prior to denial could have cleared up the confusion. I presented them with everything they asked for. Jessica the assistant manager was very short and snippy with me. I even offered to pay six months of rent upfront, or the entire lease if I had too. But clearly the issue isn't with the money, it was with me. Mahi was very pleasant, and was supposed to be helping me but I stopped hearing from her three days in. Not sure if discrimination against my age or race took part in this decision. Do not apply unless you want to lose $75 and time.

City Place is a wonderful place to live! Been there since the top of 2021. The apartments are spacious and the amenities are awesome. The grounds are well kept, and the Morgan Management is First Class, as they operate with much professionalism. This is Boutique Living At Its Best!

I have lived at City Place for almost 2 years. Come June it’ll be the full 2 years. When I moved in it was under a different management. A new one took over last year but both managements have been amazingly wonderful. The staff is wonderful and sweet. The location is close to many things to do. I love how the new management has hosted events and fun things to do for us to mingle with our neighbors. Last but not least I love how sincere the management is. When I was sick last year and was released to come home from the hospital, the team sent me Tiffs Treats with a get well soon card. Definitely recommend this place.

I’ve been at City Place for about 6 months now and I really like it! I moved from LA, and the location is really good and central to a lot of places I frequent. Although it can get loud sometimes on the weekends with traffic and people who are going out for the weekends, my curtains do a good enough job to mask it out so I can sleep. It’s spacious for one person and I rarely hear my neighbors. The staff is polite and maintenance works quickly.

City Place is a great location that is easily accessible to most of Houston and is just a few blocks away from great bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and pretty much anything else you need! The gym is great and not often busy, and the apartment management is very kind and inclusive of the community
