Village on the Parkway is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The property is infested with roaches, stray cats, and raccoons. Maintenance requests take several weeks to be addressed, and when they are, the work is often poorly done. Escalating issues to the corporate office leads nowhere, as complaints go unanswered. To make matters worse, at the end of the lease, tenants are held responsible for the very shoddy repair work carried out by the apartment’s own maintenance team. It is unreasonable for residents to be blamed for work they did not perform. The new property manager, County, is rude and highly unprofessional. Plumbing issues are persistent, and my apartment unit flooded multiple times due to poor plumbing repairs. Security is also a major concern. The main gate and pedestrian gates are frequently broken, and management often takes weeks to fix them. I would never recommend Village on the Parkway to anyone.

If you're considering renting at Village on the Parkway, I would advise you to be cautious, especially when it comes to the security deposit. I lived there for 2.5 years, and after moving out, I was shocked to learn that I wouldn't be getting my security deposit back. Instead, I was hit with additional charges for replacing the dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator, deodorizing the apartment, and claims of roaches or bugs. Throughout my time in the apartment, I kept everything clean and well-maintained, and I never received any complaints about pests or appliance issues. The charges for replacing the appliances seemed excessive and unclear, and I was given no specific reason why deodorizing was necessary. As for the pest claim, I had never been informed of any pest problems during my stay. The lack of transparency from management was incredibly frustrating. They didn't provide a proper breakdown of how these charges were calculated, and my attempts to discuss the matter were met with vague responses. Given that the apartment was well-maintained and the charges appear to be unwarranted, I respectfully request that my full security deposit be returned. I hope management will review the charges and provide a clear explanation of the deductions. While I did enjoy my time in the apartment, the way the security deposit was handled has been very disappointing. If you do decide to rent there, I recommend documenting the condition of everything thoroughly when moving out and being aware of the possibility of unexpected charges for things like appliance replacements, deodorizing, and pest claims.

I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place was so disappointing. I pointed out mold to the maintenance guy and he said no that's just rust. Roaches, roof leaks, break ins, front gate issues, etc. The closer we got to our move out date the worse the place got. We're glad to be out of there. That management company doesn't care about fixing anything. Their idea of fixing is just painting over everything. I don't necessarily blame the front office but I definitely blame corporate.

Village on the Parkway does not even deserve a star. They deserve zero stars. If you are looking for an apartment, DO NOT MOVE HERE. You are wasting your money. There are better apartments in the area than this awful place. The apartments are infested with roaches. Maintenance takes forever to stop by and you can also tell they half --- do their job and not actually fix the issue. If you have a serious maintenance issue, good luck getting someone to your apartment because they take forever. The front gate is always broken. Vehicles get broken into or wheels get stolen. Oh, and you can never get a hold of anyone from the front office. No one ever answers the phone. You literally have to go to the front office and speak to someone in person - which is inconvient at times. I have tried to contact coporate on serveral ocassions but not once they returned my call. I lived here for three years and recently moved out. I am so happy that we no longer have to live at Village on the Parkway because it was very miserable living here towards the end of our lease. I am very surprised to see good reviews about this place because this place is by far the worst place I have ever lived at. I would never recommend someone to move here. The three years I lived here, I have absolutely nothing good to say. I don't want someone to experience what I had to experience the last three years...so please, save yourself and do not move here.

I've been a resident at this complex since June 2021. These last three years I've been complaining about my air conditioning unit, the first complaint was Jul 29, 2022. Since that day the unit has been taking me through the ringer and the front office keeps band-aiding the issue. You call the emergency line and they drag their foot. The front office staff has no control over anything except sending a reminder text to the maintenance team. A while back I had an issue with the unit and one of the leasing agents had the nerve to ask me if I was sure that my a/c wasn't working because the temperature outside was high. I've had to report multiple times to HAA and spoken with the management company about all of my concerns....and the management company isn't any better. But, they are quick to add fees or give notices about the trash. I've tried given this community the benefit of the doubt but I am tired because as much as I pay in rent the services should be a whole lot better.

These apartments are actually garbage. Don’t move here unless you’re just that desperate. My family moved here in 2021. Our windows leak when it rains, our hot water heater needs to be replaced, our blinds and carpets were never replaced before we moved in. A lot of the units have visible water damage outside that they tried to cover up with paint. You can already see the damage coming through the paint again. They NEVER take care of your maintenance requests. Ever. Instead of fixing any of the things we’ve sent requests about, they’ve just decided to non-renew our lease in the middle of my 1st grader’s school year so that they can renovate the unit and charge someone else even more. My base rent is currently $1,600 with tons of fees stacked on top. Now my exact unit is listed as starting from $1,805-$2,570. There’s no way that this isn’t about money. They absolutely DO NOT care one bit about their residents and their needs.

Cannot say more positive things about this place. The girls in the front are amazing and make sure you are a happy resident. They are always sending out emails trying to make sure they are on top of things. Hazel the property manager has done WONDERS at this property. Truly turned this place into somewhere I DON’T want to leave.

Staff is so friendly and always so helpful! Appreciate the girls, and maintenance. They really do care about you! Work orders are smooth and they always follow up to make sure things are working or even if they did get fixed.

Clean clean clean apartments. I have lived here for a while and the office staff is always on top of things. Very enjoyable experience, they have pest control for free and spray EVERY week. Such a great property.
