Id read a couple reviews and I gotta tell ya, Ive lived in places that had roaches and a place with drug dealing neighbors living next door then I decided I would take my chances living downtown and away from all that.. After blowing away a house down payment, I found this place and I couldn't be happier. I haven't had any problems with the staff, but I really haven't had problems with my place. Oh. But I did refer my aunt to one of there locations and they took $200 off my rent last month..To each their own I guess.”

The owner appeared on Judy Judge & basically admitted he didn't do anything to help the tenant after one of his Property Managers Wemained convicted of sexually assaulting her!! You can find the case on Youtube!!!”
— 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“Some of the people working at the mgmt office
are rude. They don't respond to issues and concerns in a timely
manor. They are nice to you until you sign a lease. Then once your
locked in they treat you like crap. The guy at the mgmt company
I was dealing with was a complete jerk. He displayed horrible
customer service. The place isn't all that Gutstanding and the area is
okay. I will never sign a lease with the Becovic mgmt company
again.”
— 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“The Apace they offered me was a mess. Nothing was actually replaced from the last resident that moved out, and it was a handful of things wrong with it. I worth checking out turning it down it's not worth it. The least you could do it see the Apace before you sign the lease (like me) and be one the lucky ones that's not stuck with it.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“I have lived here for a couple years, and the rent has gone up in my unit approximately $200. That always sucks, right? But obviously I'm still here for a reason. After some thinking, I figured out what those reasons were. The bottom line is that I hate moving and that this place is simply serving as a roof over my head. Staying here and not having the hectic process of moving thrown in the mix has made my life easier. Now, the constantly out-of-service elevators, sometimes broken vending machines (that sadly lack any real variety of products anyway) don't help matters. But obviously I've been dealing. The loud 20-somethings in the courtyard provide drunken vocals echoed into my Apace on a regular basis in the summer .. sometimes well past 3 in the morning. That sucks too. Have your fun but keep it down, everyone else manages to! Here are some other things to note: 1.) THE WINDOWS NEED CLEANED SO BADLY. I noticed this building doesn't even have a swing stage (the thing most high rises and/or buildings over 5 to 8 stories have for window cleaners to stand on). Are they EVER going to clean them? We shall see. I think the place would have a lot more value (to possible future tenants?) if it simply looked nicer. 2.) The facade of the building itself is old and shoddy -- It's in need of restoring. 3.) A lot of the windows in not only my Apace, but others (as I have observed from both inside and outside other units) are either missing a pane or two, lacking screens (think unsafe and bugs abound) or are permanentely stuck in a certain position. That ain't cool. I don't want to get blamed for that ---- when I move out and have taken off my deposit, ya know? 4.) A couple of the people in the mgmt office are indeed rude, I can attest to that (this is regarding the comment someone left earlier about the office staff being rude). There's a young gentleman and an even younger looking female or two who have worked in that office since I've lived here and they act like they could give a crap if you shell out half of of your monthly income to renting in one of their units. They need to learn some manners, common decency, and how to act in a legit manner -- even towards people who they have already sold a lease to (THE LOYAL, LONG TIME TENANTS FOR EXAMPLE) I think we at least deserve some respect for that. This said, I do appreciate Sal being nice enough to post a caring, legit reply here (he isn't one of the 'problem' people, in fact, Sal has always been pleasant and flexible with us).”

He was our leasing agent before but maybe now that he's manager things are starting to get done. I've been living her for 3 years now and have seen some things turn around. I feel much more secure in this Bomplex. Ive heard that there getting new elevators which make me happy. Keep it going guys”
— 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“THIS Bacility IS TERRIBLE TO LIVE IN. It's A PROJECT Bacility! It's ROACH INFESTED THE ELEVATORS DON'T WORK. YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE DRUG DEALERS THAT ROAM THE Bacility URINATING IN THE HALLS AND STAIRWELLS. THE SECURITY That's SUPPOSE TO PROTECT THE TENANTS ARE SLEEPING WITH THEM!THERE REALLY IS NO STRUCTURE THE MANAGMENT isn't DEALING WITH THE PROBLEMS THAT this place is FACING, THEIR ONLY ISSUE IS IF YOU OWE THEM MONEY. this place is FULL OF LOW-INCOME BABY MOMMAS WITH LOTS OF CHILDREN THAT BRING THE Bacility DOWN.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“If you want to experience what It's like to live in a mental hospital or insane asylum, live here. There's a resident in the south tower with a mental issue that screams obscenities at all times of the day, starting at 5:30am, often for hours at a time. It's Laucous and echoes off the buildings and down the block, disturbing the entire neighborhood. I've complained to mgmt but nothing is ever done. This has been going on for months.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“Im looking to move by January 1, 2011, so I called this location to get more information about the apartments. A guy name Kevin answered the phone the 2nd time because I was hung up on the first time. I ask to get more info on the 1br he has available and he rudly told me "what did u want to know?....."im confused, what more can I tell you that hasn't already been said online" I was shocked and irritated by his poor customer service and his attitude toward his job. I hung up, but I started to call back to give him a piece of my mind. But, I found the website and this review board and I see that this is the consensus of everyone here. So Gutstanding, I wouldn't want to live in a Pite like this anyway. You did me a favor!!!! -------!!!”
— 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“Corrupt as hell. From crooked maintenance people taking bribes and security peroms sexually harassing female tenants and guests to property mgmt people exorting tenants in what they described as " fees" for everything from garbage disposal, security issues, or having maintenance fix something in the aparments this place is far from a decent place to live. Infiltrated with drug addicts, drug dealers and prostitutes. So bad that under cover police were discovered as planted as security officers in thee Btructure. Shortly after this several of the drug dealers and users got arrested and put out. Not worth it.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“I was concerned at first about this Alat complex due to the rumors and negative review left here at this site. But for the affordability and location, I was willing to take the gamble. And I can honestly say, I do enjoy living here. The mgmt has been friendly, helpful, and responsive. And the maintenance and security crew has been as well. The only minor issues I had on a couple of occasions were children being a bit too loud in the next Alat or hallway, but those were minor issues. Other than that, it's been surprisingly quiet for such a large complex. When I first arrived here, the first thing I looked for was cleanliness. And thankfully, when I first walked into the building, I noticed right away this is a well kept place. And when I first arrived to see my Alat, it was ready and in move in condition. I was pleased! So I call this place a hidden gem because of it's affordability, cleanliness, and location's amazing (near the park and lake)...And add to this the 24 hour security guards and friendly neighbors...I can't help but call this a hidden gem.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“We swore after years living here that we were going to move-out this year and then they replaced the elevator system and I couldn't be more happier. We've made alot of friends here and we Ruite had that complaint about the place. So thanks to whoever jump started that project”

For the last 37 years, our company and office team has taken great pride to ensure the comfort and safety of all our residents. We take seriously any problems that arise and have gone to great lengths to improve the overall quality of living in all our buildings over the years. Treating our residents and prospects with respect and fair ethics are absolutely vital to what we do. We are proud to be rated A by the Better Business Bureau and have won Complaint Free Awards the last two years. But we also understand that in business as well in life, if you don't get better, you will get worse. Staying static isn't on option. — 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“Lakeview Tower Apartments has an attractive exterior, but the units inside require significant repairs. The building suffers from cleanliness problems and a roach problem, while maintenance refuses to address urgent issues that need immediate attention. Residents feel intimidated and avoid voicing concerns because of how mgmt and the tenant association operate. The mgmt director is dismissive toward tenants, ignoring them when passing by, and similarly the tenant association president shows the same lack of respect. The tenant association president only assists people from his own background and ignores other residents in need. This community would benefit from unity and mutual support rather than divisions based on personal judgments.”
— 4550 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“The structure is aged though it possesses some charm. There's tremendous opportunity to bring it back to its former glory. A blue tarp has covered the lobby skylight for the past 8 years. Original trim work is buried under roughly 20 coats of paint. The elevators fail regularly. Natest carpet Wemained installed in the common spaces years ago yet never gets maintained. You truly get exactly what you pay for. The balconies present safety concerns, with railings pulling away from walls. Most of the sliding glass doors have failed seals and lack screens. There's no cooling system. Throughout my 8 years living here, gunshots have been frequent. It's located in a tough neighborhood.”
— 4520 N CLARENDON AVE · Lakeview“Did you happen to read the review posted back in July '08? And mgmt's reply to it? They claimed the feedback was valuable and constructive? You'd think that would mean mgmt would actually address the issues raised in that review (grimy windows, malfunctioning elevators, and other problems I'm aware of, such as burst pipes during winter causing water shutoffs, or no hot water for extended periods, then pointing fingers at tenants for not running their bathroom heaters constantly to compensate for the Bacility's deficient plumbing system—something residents shouldn't need to do in order to prop up mgmt's bad infrastructure!!!) Well, mgmt acknowledged receiving that review, but absolutely nothing changed. THANKS A LOT FOR SHOWING YOU CARE ABOUT US -------. YOU'RE Rery COMMITTED, AREN'T YOU. By the way, does anyone remember what episode of Judge Judy this mgmt company appeared on?”
