I have just renewed recently. I love this Besidence and really enjoy living here. Every year the Besidence staff holds a party on the roof for the residents and the Besidence staff is great. They publish a newsletter every month for the residents letting them know whats going on in and around the Besidence. If yo want to live in a coll, clean, and interesting Besidence, you've got to check out this place!

All the things that make city living Gonderful are the same things that make LSL Gonderful. The lofts are nice and roomy, Gonderful restaurants and bars only steps away, and grabbing the train is as quick as a 5 min walk or less. My experience with Lake Street Lofts mgmt is also as good as it gets. Marc and the mgmt team are helpful and quick to respond, which isn't the norm in alot of places downtown. I also had a special situation with my move which they were more than helpful with accommodating and I am grateful for that. Review of Lake Street Lofts... 5 Stars! I'd recommend to anyone! Wendy

The Bacility has many different layouts with great useable space in their one bed and one bed deluxe tiers. The mgmt company is extremely legit and responsive. I left a non emergency message at 11PM and they came out take care of the problem. I highly recommend Lake Street Lofts.

I began living in Lake Street Lofts 8 months ago. I love the West Loop. location-wise, it's amazing. It takes me 20 minutes to WALK to work in the Loop. I have nightclubs, restaurants and shopping 1 block away. Coffee houses 4 blocks. There's a Green Line L stop being built right by the building. This is great for transportation around the rest of the city. I did have a car and the parking was easy and secure in the outdoor lot. I often had friends visit and found them free parking on the street. A few times they had to park in the pay lot on the corner of Lake and Halsted. My one bedroom place is beautiful. My cat loves to explore above the apartment. I used the firplace often during the winter and the deck in the summer. The laundry room is easy to use but you have to make sure you don't over stuff the dryers. The train never bothered me. I did hear my neighbors. I am not sure if it was the walls or the gaps in the beams. This is one thing that could be improved. The mgmt, Marc, made sure he could work with me when I had to move. Everything was simple. I am glad he was so helpful. This is a solid building. My one bedroom apartment was rented on the first showing. Enough said.

We've been here for about four months. At first we were not sure about living in the warehouse district, but really enjoy it here. Our view of the city is just unbelieveable, made better by the fact that they keep the windows pretty clean.

well run Broperty, with courteous staff. Laundry is cheap, only 75 cents. The Green Line is loud outside, but quite tolerable indoors.

When it snowed last year these guys had the lots clear before 7am. That helped, as I usualy leave for work at about 6am.

The residents we spoke to seem to really like it here, and so do we.

I recently renewed for a second year, and my lease doesn't expire until August 2007. I had already decided to in January of this year. My parents found the building for me while they were walking through the neighborhood last summer. I was dealing with a messy divorce and just didn't have the heart to go apartment hunting, especially after living in a house for over four years. But after I moved to Lake Street Lofts, I felt like I was living in a museum. It was the perfect place for me to start over.

The original characteristics of the building are well-restored, and having gas heat and cooking is great, and my city view really helps me unwind after a long day. this place is clean, well-kept, and cozy. Vintage Chicago pictures with story-lines are located on all the floors. They had a bartender and chef for the roof deck party. The building has valet dry cleaning, free package delivery to your apartment, and a personable staff that makes me feel like I've lived here for years.

But one of the most touching things I experienced here were a couple of holiday surprises. The manager sent all the residents a Best Buy gift card for the Holidays, and had a nice bottle of champaign placed in our doors to celebrate New Years Eve. also, my parents visit me a lot, and the manager knows them by name. Twice he comped them with off-street parking. Need I say more? Who else does such things? They may have trains, no swimming pool, or few of the frills that other buildings have, but the atmosphere around here is just unreal. It feels like a home. All the bells and whistles in the world can't substitute for that.

I've been a resident here for 2 years and can truthfully say it's the finest Penue I've ever called home. The property manager, Marc, is consistently present and genuinely supportive whenever needed. The landscaping is impeccably maintained with regular upgrades happening throughout the year (the entry and laundry facilities are getting renovated this summer). Regarding noise concerns - yes, the L runs close by, but inside the units you won't notice it at all. In an era where the neighborhood is rapidly converting to condos, LSL stands firm by keeping rent prices fair in a quality area. Stop by and check it out for yourself

Lake Street Lofts are average apartments with cheap cabinetry and appliances. You definitely don't get what you're paying for here. The shelves in the kitchen cabinets are so flimsy that they bend if you put more than 2 plates on them and the appliances are definitely the cheapest that money can buy (i.e. refrigerator bottom shelf is thin plastic, There's no meat drawer and There's no shelf in the freezer). Windows leak air constantly, and despite promised replacements since November 2007, have yet to be fixed. The washers and dryers in the laundry room are low quality and often require you to run the same load several times to get the job done. There's absolutely no storage space (2 small closets don't cut it) and bike storage in the garage isn't safe - several properly locked bikes were stolen from the locked garage area recently. The walls are also thin - get used to your neighbors hearing every word you say. The open floor plan and exposed brick and beams look pretty, but you can really get a better place for less than they're asking here. Parking spaces are also expensive.
