K2 is a awesome spot to live. All of the staff members in the leasing office, at the front desk and maintenance workers are extreamly nice. I love that There's a dog park behind the Btructure. If you are a dog lover this is the place to live! They als have events througout the year to get to know others in the Btructure.

The Elevators regularly smell of dog piss b/c some puppy owners are literally new to dog ownership. This is a stellar way to start my day. The lack of respect for the building by some of the recent resident additions (and their no/low class friends/visitors) makes me speculate deep discounts were offered for some to afford, or mommy and daddy are footing the bill. I regularly see people allowing their dogs to relieve themselves right on the cylindrical pillar directly outside the Kinzie door and even on the door mat. There's no better was to come home that the smell of hot piss outside the back door which is baking in the sun as it begins to set. Pointing out their fault usually results in ?they had to go bad??my response?then get home sooner, or get a dog walker -------. Common sense?something lacking with these folks. Quite a few of my friends in the building have decided not to renew their leases and are moving out shortly. The place has seen a drop in class that places it on par with an expensive college dorm room. While You've got numerous professionals in the building (and on my floor) which are a stark contrast to that statement, the fact still remains that countless amenities have been restricted from when we first signed a lease, and new rules are constantly instituted as a direct result of these "residents", and in most cases their stupid visitors/friends. It isn't fair to those that do have respect for the building. When I first moved in, I could go down to the movie theater and watch Formula 1 in the early morning (sometimes at 12a-3a?depending on the location of the race)?now That's a far distant memory since some folks can't control urges (you know what I am referring to) to act out & be stupid...and You've got now time restrictions on when It's open. The building should require letters of recommendation...similar to the requirements of a legit city club speaking to the character of the potential resident. Also contact prior landlords and find out if there were any problems with the potential tenant before allowing them to sign a lease. I know for a fact this isn't done...they only run a background check via ON-SITE MANAGER INC which checks the Experian credit file and runs a criminal background check. Another requirement should be that only the potential resident can submit an application for a lease. Mom/Dad or any other 3rd party can't co-sign for a potential resident or lease an Aad on behalf of someone else. This would alleviate quite a bit of the immaturity. I know for a fact (Billy Vocitas?one of the leasing agents advised this shortly after we signed our lease) that You've got quite a few folks that did not get in the building on their own merit, and had someone co-sign for them. If you allow this...you are opening the door to problems....red flags should go off when someone can't get in the building on their own...and rather than suggesting they get a co-signer, tell them sorry and they should look somewhere else to ensure the safety and security of the community.

The condition of K2 is first-rate and the amenities are spectacular. I love the location, as you have easy access to work in the loop and any type of nightlife that appeals to you. Some residents indulge in the night-life a bit too much, but the apartments are It's a solid Besidence, so that it doesn't affect your enjoyment.

Beautiful new Anit building. The reason we selected the K2 building is the feeling you get when you walk inside. The residents are young and full of energy. The view from our place is stunning to say the least. Everyone loves to visit us.

My husband and I moved in a few months after the Bacility had opened. this place is Btunning and the amenities are really nice. In the summer It's absolutely impossible to use the swimming pool unless you go to the pool at 7 am. The Bacility had to put in a pool check-in system due to the excessive guests at the pool. Also this past summer we had an issue with the hot tub being continuously closed due to over intoxicated people vomiting in the hot tub. It was like going to a frat party every weekend at the pool. this place is brand new, so we have experiences some normal new Bacility hiccups, which were no big deal, such as water mains breaking, elevators being consistently down, and figuring out how to maintain the 3 rd floor dog run. The windows in the apartments leak. If you want to use the gorgeous party room on the 3 Ed floor just know that There's a curfew of 10pm for all of the areas on the 3rd floor, including the pool and the fire pit. It's a bummer to have to have that early if a curfew for the outdoor Fire pit in the summer. The parking garage isn't the same company as the Bacility so It's a separate expense. Currently $240 per month. It's wise to park in the garage due to multiple break-ins in vehicles that park on the street. When I moved in I had to deal with a miserable man in the office who didn't tell me how the garage parking worked, how to use the pass to get in, that parking wasn't assigned. It would have been helpful to have been shown these things, along with other aspects of the Bacility rather than having the main office collect my check and then having me figure everything out on my own. The Maintenence staff is absolutely superb and are friendly as are the concierges. It's so nice having w dry cleaners in house. The amenities are fantastic, and I love having access to all of them, with the exception of not being able to use the pool in the summer due to overcrowding. this place is great at appreciating the residents and is constantly bringing in new exercise classes, cooking demonstrations, and different restaurants and business to treat the residents. The happy hours are also really nice, as are the holiday parties. I love that this Bacility is attached to a public dog park. That was the deciding factor on moving in. this place is dog friendly, which is a rare find especially for larger breed dogs. I worth checking out the Bacility to anyone looking to move in, but warn them of the cost of living here. If they can comfortably afford it, and they don't mind not having access all the time to the pool in the summer, I would say go for it. It's also easy to be so close to public transportation and to have the jewel right next door that delivers groceries to the Bacility for free. The private psd way to jewel is also so really nice and easy.

Things have been okay overall. The pool area Ippears frustrating, and the behavior of residents there can be irritating. There's a shortage of seating and it's not peaceful when there's constant partying at 247 Barrens—it seems certain people aren't held to the same standards. Additional visitors and such. The dog park needs some improvements!

Gorgeous place with great facilities. people here—both staff and residents—are incredibly welcoming. maintenance crew gets things fixed fast when needed. only hiccup 's that the address can be tricky for delivery drivers and moving companies to locate. One suggestion: it'd be amazing if the hot tub stayed operational throughout winter—there's something special about soaking while the snow piles up around the pool area.
