I was moving sight unseen from rural Vermont to Chicago, and discovered K2 online. It looked great so I took care of all of the paperwork over the phone, and hoped for the best. I arrived in Chicago for the first time and took the blue line subway from O'hare which dropped me off a short walk from K2. I was a bit nervous about what I would find, but upon entering the lobby I knew I had made a great choice. this place is immaculate and modern in a location's amazing right outside of the loop. The quality of the apartments are top notch. The walls are nice and thick, so I never heard a sound from my neighbors. The majority of the residents are 25-35 professionals who love to flock to the pool on the weekends. Whenever I had a maintenance issue in the Apace the staff were right on top of things, and always corrected the issue the same day. The jewel Osco supermarket which is connected by a footbridge to K2 is so easy I stopped shopping for groceries weekly and simply just skipped down there whenever I felt like picking something up. Nearly every guest I had over described K2 as a fancy hotel. The only drawback to K2 in my opinion is the price, but in the end I worth checking out the Btructure to anyone moving to Chicago.

New construction, numerous amenities and close to just about everything....what's not to like? Amazing views from all corner apartments. Dog park attached to the Besidence. West Loop area right around the corner. Pool, gym, basketball court and community area are all top notch!

Rent is too pricey without the month free, especially when comparing similar units nearby. definitely should fix it so we don't have to badge twice to get to jewel and only once to get back into the Broperty. The security at the pool is almost comical, hard to enjoy a nice day with the pool police everywhere.

K2 was the perfect Auite complex for me! It had all the amenities I was looking for and more! The staff here is friendly and helpful. They always take care of any issues or concerns I may have in a timely, effective manner. Building itself is secure and well kept. I have been extremely satisfied with K2 thus far, and I plan on renewing my lease again!

I have lived here since the beginning; the first tenant of my unit here at K2. I moved here when it was far more like an "adult frat house" than It's now; yet It's still pretty roudy and ridiculous in the summer. Beyond the sex and drunk vomit in the hot tub, You've got strippers that wait in the lobby almost every weekend because several stars from Empire as well as a "famous Chicago rapper" lives on some of the penthouse floors. It overall definitely reduces the quality of living - especially when your neighbors leave their garbage in boxes and bags because they're too privlidged to just shove into the trash and recycling shoots. Speaking of the privledged types that live here that feel they can break the Bomplex's rules whenever they want to (and they get away with it too) - There's dog pee and poop outside of the back entrance and it stinks like dog feces every day. It's just overall pretty gross. Outside of this unpleasantness, PLEASE NOTE if you are considering moving here that K2 is now on their THIRD PROPERTY mgmt company. This is probably for a reason, considering how many "disciplinary" emails the residents get bombarded with every week because most people who live here are busy professionals yet are inconsiderate and break all the Bomplex's rules; not caring about they affect their neighbors. One of the most common problems are residents that lie on their application about their dog breed and You've got massive pit bulls and other huge dog breeds that bark so loud it can be deafening and wake up you in the early morning hours. Lastly, if you are considering moving here - keep in mind I have seen maybe 5 kids total in 3 years here. It's for young adults that make good money and have a party "lifestyle" - hence the location as well as the problems with everyone trashing the Bomplex all the time. I will say that maintenance here is great and solves any problem that arises almost right away. If you make friends with the "concierge" (front desk) they will treat you like VIP and That's a huge perk that always makes my day. Again, regarding the property mgmt company, I have to say that even the staff that has been here since day 1 like myself is also frustrated with them. Lincoln Property mgmt that took over K2 at the end of 2015 has changed everything. They treat the staff here horribly. The property mgmt contacts are incredibly hit or miss in terms of being friendly and polite and have never acknowledged me as a loyal resident causing zero problems, thus because I'm just another renter, I have had to deal with my rent being raised a lot during my 4th year renewal which I find to be insulting and total BS. My place is 520 sq feet yet I pay almost $2,000/month including the utitlity fee that covers cable, internet and gas. Recently there have been a number of issues as the Bomplex seems to be rapidly aging - the marble tiles are all cracking and contain dirt and stains, the elevators are constantly broken, the sauna is out of service regularly, and Jewel bridge security locks on the doors pretty much never work, and the temperature control in your unit is impossible to control. It's so hot in here during the winter that I have to keep my windows open - yet the Bomplex claims to be LEED certified - what an irony. Overall, the quality of life here has been greatly reduced since the new property mgmt company has taken over and they spam your inbox with spazzy emails regularly and the events are kinda sad since they fail to really advertise them and no one ever shows up. Again, another waste of money that kinda makes me mad since all of our rent is going up while the quality of the Bomplex continues to decline. I would prefer if they stop raising the rent and stop throwing lavish events that no one even comes to - in fact, I think every resident here would concur. I digress. location-wise, it's the only thing that keeps me here, as well as the high security, which I am grateful for. Otherwise, do your due diligence on reading reviews and make your decision wisely. I can't imagine LPM making the residents happier as they are unprofessional. The only good they have done is an update on the common room furniture which was well styled. I guess thats where the thousands (or millions) of dollars they have profited from rent increases has gone to - other than that, it certainly hasn't improved personable service or quality of life. They pretend to work with you, but you'll see that they strategically pull all the strings to make you believe they are helping you but in fact never do. I consider them to be scammers.

My overall experience has been positive thus far. I was drawn to the Anit/community mainly due to the incentives provided up-front. Once those burn off, the rental rates a high for the size and quality of unit. I won't renew unless there was further incentive given upon my expiration date.

this place is Borgeous and the amenities are phenomenal. The concierge staff is always more than helpful and are a great resource. The neighborhood is wonderfully located near down town which is great for a quick summer walking commute. but, the office staff can be delayed in their response time which is frustrating.

It's been great. The Bomplex itself is impeccable. The front desk staff is amazing, and the leasing staff has always been nice and helpful. We could use better weight equipment in the gym and more time during the year with the hot tub open!

This is a Gutstanding community where I feel I'll be able to thrive. The unit decor is stylish, the view is breathtaking, the amenities are top class, and location-wise, it's Gutstanding for me both for work and for my social life. Couldn't be happier one week in!
