WELCOME!! quickly you’ll learn that the walls are thin. You can hear all 4 of your neighbors. So yes the guy below you is snoring and vibrating your walls, and the lady above you is coming home late at night balling her eyes out (like someone just died crying) and to your right you get a lovely bass and drum music blasting and then lastly to your left you’ll hear someone’s cheeks getting slapped. So! I say this dearly. Be mindful that if you can hear everyone THEY CAN HEAR YOU. But wait there’s MORE!! Not only can you have your neighbors you have the redline construction!! Starts @5am and goes on till night. So if you are a nurse I definitely don’t think this place is for you. The rooftop has no furniture even though you’ll be told that they are finishing it up And they’d have it out by summer. It’s been a year lol. And the icing on the cake is your privacy will be invaded:)!!! instead of sending an email or scheduling a “check-up” you get the joy of the landlord just opening up your door while you trying to sleep or possibly showering! :) so welcome to 5240 N Winthrop hope every penny is worth it!

This place is awful, entirely awful. mgmt is rude at best, gossips with tenants about other tenants and shares your private information with them. They will tell you untruths and gaslight. Also, maintenance will walk in on you without prior warning or knocking. I was walked in on when sleeping and woke to 3 men standing by my bed, literally, the second time I was in the shower, clear glass shower so they walked in on me naked. There's zero communication about repairs or maintenance; this is true for any preventative work and also reported issues. The walls are thin and you will hear your neighbors, you hear everything. The experience there was the worst ever in my life, truly terrible experience.

The whole building is infested with bedbugs and roaches. The people who work You've got terrible. They spy on tenants, gossip, and tell tenants business to others. A horrible place to live.

The most alluring part of these apartments that looped me in was the fact it was all utilities included with central air, in-unit washer/dryer and a dishwasher at $980 a month which gets good for what you can find in chicago. After 3 months of my lease in, my heat stopped working in the start of winter. After numerous maintenance requests, emails and phone calls nothing is fixed for months and I’m received by passive aggressive responses by the landlord ridiculing me for my usage and why I need it. Then I receive a text from Cedar realty that all tenants will be in charge of their own electric starting the new year. Should thisn't be sent via mass email? And are landlords able to change lease agreements terms mid lease? Is the reason why my heat/central air stopped working because it was turned off purposefully to save them money?? This place is criminal. Landlord is crooked and doesn’t respect women. David Labunski doesn’t care about his tenants, just the cash you line his pockets with. Cute apartments, but horribly managed.
