The water is constantly being shut off due to repairs that are ongoing in the Btructure. No communication with mgmt. they do what's best for them and not the residents. Constant mice and other rodents.

not gonna lie I haven't had an awesome experience just cuz of all the maintenance problems and water shutoffs in the Blace. the people are nice but You've got loud sounds of banging on walls deep into the night and when you can't sleep and are woken up to no water with zero notice it kinda sucks.

Checked this place out over the weekend. location's Aabulous. Mariano’s is across the street and just a couple of blocks from the lake. The Sales Consultant was super informative and has an awesome name. Hard to forget that. I have a couple places to check out but this is my top 3 so far.

I'd like to start by saying that I have the Besidence a 1 because the mgmt. The regional manager, Jon, sucks. He has absolutely no empathy and doesn't even reach out to you when there's an issue. The property manager left in Dec prob because this place is going to hell. She was really nice and cared about you. She walked around the Besidence and communicated with the residents. The last month no one talked to us. We have had frozen pipes. No one cares! The older girl in the office is a joke. She literally rolls her eyes at you. She doesn't even remember your name or try to help you. She writes you off and shows you no empathy. The younger girl, jenny, she's nice but you can tel her hands are tied and she doesn't have much say. I guess my thing is this why did you get rid of the property manager? Why did you hire the older leasing agent? Why is Jon terrible? Why can't you guys get it together over there? I renewed there because of the last property manager and I'm pissed I did.

So far I've been happy... every issue I've had has been addressed in a prompt, legit manner. I Rruly enjoy the diversity of the buildings residents and the convenience of location-wise, it's unbeatable. Hoping to stick around for at least a couple years

Rehabbing on Btructure started at least 5 years after it should have. Exterior work has been going on for two years with no end to it in site. Work on interior was chewaply done. Many recent new tenants are causing lots problems...damage to Btructure, excessive noise, and leaving garbage all over. Lots of unpaying tenants. Definite cash flow problem with owner. contractors are being paid and That's what this place is being rehabbed so slowly. A lot of strange people entering the Btructure. I do npot feel safe living here.

I'm surprised it took me as long as it did to write this review, but here It's. Honestly my experience here wasn't the worst thing in the world, but pretty bad for the price. I paid $1,450/mo (had pets, so this is including pet fee) for only 1 elevator to work (thank god I wasn't that high up, I just took the stairs all the time), for the laundry room to be out of service for 2 months, and for the key fob system to not work for a couple weeks.. oh, and right at the beginning of the year, with no prior warning, the building just switched owners and we didn't have front door security for a while, lol. I'm low maintenance, so a lot of this stuff didn't bother me too much, and I know things like the laundry room and key fob system going down were out of their control and due to the weather, but at least have a contingency plan to fix problems that may come with managing a 100(?) year old building. I still go past the building everyday on my way to work, and the parking garage I believe they said was coming February 2019 still hasn't opened either. The people who lived next door to me would be screaming at the top of their lungs at eachother at all times of the day. Hallways felt like project hallways. Random elderly people sitting in the lobby for hours on end, I guess that's a minor annoyance. I put in a maintenance request because the pilot light on my stove stopped working within the first couple weeks, and I don't think I ever got it fixed, lol. I'd just light my stove with a lighter everytime. I could go on about this place - luckily where I lived, I could take the staircase straight down to the gym area (which was nice), and take the side door to go to Mariano's and not have to interact with much of the building. Also, firetrucks would come past pretty regularly and depending on what floor you're on, it's BLARING loud. But wait, there's more. I had small roaches in my apartment - which is supposed to be indicative of a bigger infestation. I'd probably only see a few a week, so it wasn't as if my apartment was crawling with them, but just another thing to note. Everytime I'd bring someone over they'd talk about how nice it was when they got to the lobby, and I'd always tell them to hold that thought until we got to the hallways. My apartment was pretty nice - granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, nice dark hardwood floors, built in commercial size AC unit, new blinds. But other than that, it's just a typical Chicago apartment with a better paint job. I will say, I think the new mgmt was taking it in a better direction, and honestly, given everything I've just said, I'd live there again - if it were like, $1,150 for a 1 BR. Oh, and get this, before I moved out, they said 1 BRs were going to be raised up to ------- $1,750/mo. That's ridiculous. You can easily get a studio- 1 BR downtown for that price. Also, Dominic (I think he was with 33 Mgmt) and Eric (with AMC) were always great and helpful. It's been so long I can't remember specific occasions, but I've seen a lot of reviews talk about Kelly, and if my memory serves me correctly, yes, she wasn't pleasant the times I had seen her. I like to give people the benefit of a doubt because I know how stressful it must be to manage a building that's falling apart with unsatisfied tenants, so I'll just leave it at that. All in all, I'd give it 2/5 just because there were so many things you can't really overlook, and I know a lot of those things might bother people a lot more than it bothered me. But all the problems mixed with the price make me give it a 2/5. Hope a company can come along soon to put in the proper renovations and attention this place needs, it could be great.

This is a horrible place to live. The owners care nothing about their residents. They don't maintain the property. The elevators have been out of service for over two months, laundry room is filthy and the machines are always out of service, the hallways look like they haven't been cleaned in 10 years. This building is supposed to be upgrading into a luxury apartment complex but they only thing luxury is the rent price. The hot water is controlled so you get a poor hot water pressure in your kitchen. There's only one sink unless you want to bay 12-1600$ to move into a upgraded model. but the piping system throughout this place is faulty. There's dust everywhere because of construction so if you have allergys or other health problems this building is a health hazard! The Kopleys care NOTHING about their residents. Find somewhere else to live until these landlords can get their act together and stop being slum lords. You've got no cameras and random construction men who are always overly nice to the young single women in the building-potential problem in the future for sure. The mgmt just switched to anew company but the owners are the same so I am sure changes will be as slow as molasses.

Honestly this building has a lot of problems. I've had maintenance work on my bathroom multiple times and not much gets fixed. The shower doesn't drain at all. I have to purchase drain unclogger every single week which really cuts into my grocery bill and the drain unclogger doesn't really help at all. It will only help the bathtub situation for about a day. There's definitely mold growing from shower tiles becoming loose. Therefore, I have been sick since I moved in. My nose is constantly stuffed/runny. I break out in rashes constantly. I have a mold allergy. I can hear mice running around in the walls. They have yet to enter my apartment. Many of the other residents aren't great neighbors. There was a stabbing that happened on my floor a few weeks ago. The residents weren't informed at all by mgmt. I had to find out from a crime app and noticed the many many cop cars, fire trucks, and ambulances at the apartment. The morning after the stabbing there was a massive trail of blood down the hallway to the elevator that I saw while on my way to work. The elevators constantly break. The walls in my apartment are bubbling and breaking due to water damage from the bathroom and water damage from other apartments. I had to quickly move to Chicago due to a job offer and had about two days to find an apartment. I wish I could live somewhere else and didn't rush into living here, but I didn't have much time to find a place that met all my needs/requirements. mgmt doesn't seem to care about their residents or notifiy them when crimes happen in the building. They also never answer the phone or emails. I don't always feel safe living here. It's in a nice location by being close to the beach, grocery store, and train, but I'd rather live somewhere else. Can't wait for my lease to end. The kitchen is nice though. My unit has all brand new appliances that had never been used until I lived there. Lots of space in the one bedroom apartment, but not worth all the other problems that come with the building and residents.
