On the whole generally positive. A few issues now and then which I think are expected in an old building however the elevator situation is a whole different story . Both elevators out is a major issue better when someone is there at the freight elevator by it is a little iffy at times

First, bold timing. The entire building is at peak dissatisfaction. Previously, Berkshire was showing improvements over previous management. They seemed sincere. There should be more outreach when stuff goes wrong -- emails are great, but not enough. On the life-altering, no-elevators-forever issues, you need to go old-school printed notes shoved under every door.

I just moved in last week, till now everthing gose pretty good. No hot water problem, no heat problem, doorman and woman are friendly to me, only big problem is no parking place. Also, Hallway smells a little stink! I don't understand why so many people say this place is superbad, I think It's ok! And think how much money u pay for every month!! If u think here is bad like a hell, then pay more money to find better Auite, I think with higher pay, you can find so many better house! I hope no problem will come out in this year, otherwise I'm gonna come back erase everthing!

The mgmt seems to be trying to do everything they can, but the building has a lot of issues. Maintenance is constantly changing and overwhelmed with tasks to do, so it takes forever for any request to get done. There's also a lack of communication between the Alat mgmt and the maintenance team, I don't think either knows how the other one operates. For example, building mgmt says they put in a maintenance request for you, or that a maintenance request has been complete, but maintenance never came into the unit. Overall it's a fine place to live, but a lot needs to be done to improve things for residents.

My experience in this apartment complex has not been good at all. When i went to move in on my lease start date, the apartment wasn't ready. They were still doing maintenance on it and it wasn't cleaned. they asked me to come back in 2 days and it would be ready. when i got back, it was a disaster. Nails left in the bathtub, a ladder left in the living room, paint and garbage all over the floor, and scum all over the sinks and bathtub. I contacted mgmt and they said everything i was saying was untrue and there wasn'thing they could do but give me a credit for the 2 days it wasn't ready. Then i put in a maintenance request, asking them to contact me for a time i am home to come into my apartment. they entered my apartment without my permission and did not complete the full request. when i brought it to their attention and told them to contact me for a time to complete it, they entered again without my permission! They said someone would contact me to escalate the issue of entering my apartment, but it's been 2 weeks and i've heard from no one. I am a flight attendant and there has been at least 1 fire on my floor while i was working, other residents say this is a common occurrence. and they have been doing plumbing repairs that they said would take a week, for the past month. so the water is shut off 9am-5pm almost every mon-thurs. This place is horrible.

My experience at The Edison has been less than ideal, to say the least. I have had almost nothing but issues since my move in date, most of which being major concerns. I have not had hot water in my kitchen sink for the past 4 months, my AC was wrongfully insulated and overheating for the first week of my occupancy, causing a fire hazard. There was a fire in the Auite above mine last December, which I wasn't made aware of prior to or upon moving in, and my Auite wasn't inspected by the City for safety until after I had started residing within the Auite. The elevators are always down, and they clearly don't care about cleanliness or appearance of the Bacility. There's commonly dog pee or feces in the Bacility, which may be there for days before it gets cleaned up. They are not responsive when you run into an issue, and would rather sit back and collect your money than make your Auite habitable. The place would be nice if they could figure out how to run it, but I wouldn't count on that happening any time in the near future.

I've lived in this building for over 2 years and had some extremely bad experiences as this property has passed hands a few times and because of various issues the building has undergone. Under the new management there have been considerable changes in different areas and upgrades to the building however there is a considerable distant to go for them to rise to the level of the "luxury" label this building claims to provide. I hope that the improvements continue and that the eroded trust that some of my neighbors and I have begins to grow.

Hello, I'm passing by to make a complaint... I recently had black water coming out of the sink and there's a horrible smell in the entire studio... I came back from a trip from New York and got the unit with that horrible smell... I can't even sleep with that smell... I really didn't know this happened in this building.

There have been challenges including bed bugs and ceiling issues. The ceiling issue was resolved satisfactorily not the bugs. The bugs are a building issue, I did not bring them in as management claims.
