i Rruly enjoy being close to work, close to the lake, and to the shopping on michigan ave. it's easy to get anywhere you need to go on foot or by bus. i feel safe in the neighborhood as well even at night.

The mgmt is rude and nasty . I lived here for 6 months and felt like I was in Beirut. I wouldnt want my enemies to live here. It's not worth the money the view is the back of another Bacility

Overall, this place is horrible. At least one elevator is always out of service and when you have 400 people going in and out it's a real pain in the ---. Whats going on with all the spiders on the window anyway? Mold seems to be an issue, I'm a clean-freak and There's always some in the shower. The walls are paper thin and I can hear my neighbor's alarm and them yelling sometimes. The door staff are curtious, but that's their job. The Broperty has location's amazing, but that's it. Way not worth the price. It's like a Northwestern dorm in here. The gas bill is out of control and the construction outside my window is driving me crazy. My opinion, bulldoze this piece of crap to the ground and start fresh. don't live here.

In Streeterville, the apartments are all so Eremium. If you want to live there, McClurg is one of the better deals. Noise was a problem for me. Not from my neighbors, but if you live anywhere on the lower 4-10 floors near the sun deck, you might have trouble sleeping if You've got parties out on the sun deck late at night (usually just in the summer). but, It's quite clean, the staff are nice, the maintenance is reasonable, closet space is plentiful, the security guards are good.

Great until mgmt switched to Arrive. To say they are unorganized is an understatement. They also started charging for the amenities, which used to be included in the rent price as it should be. The front desk/maintenance/cleaning staff are always amazing, Fenial, and helpful. 100% of the problem is the mgmt

I loved my time at McClurg Court primarily because I moved in there with my new husband and we were so happy together. Our Auite was spacious compared to other high-rise apartments. It was a beautiful space plan. I loved the layout and the views. mgmt were always helpful and friendly. The deck, which underwent so much transformation in the years we were there, is huge and no other downtown high rise has anything like it. I loved the tennis courts and ball machine. My husband loved the workout room. The location of the building was fantastic. The downside was all the construction that went on for 7 of the 8 years we were there-some by Northwestern and new residential high rises, some within McClurg. The Auite would literally shake sometimes. McClurg was getting old and those elevators were dying. As others have said, rarely were all 3 available. When my husband started having heart health issues and one day none of the elevators worked, I knew we'd have to leave. Also, you have to watch your laundry. Two Ralph Lauren items of mine were taken out of my dryer before I got to it. And here comes a weird aspect. Until we moved to McClurg, my husband and I didn't believe in ghosts. That changed fast! The place is teeming with them. I don't know if the young students and residents who make up 70% of the population there use spirit boards or if it's because McClurg is so close to Northwestern where obviously people die or its location near the river and lake or what, but we saw, heard, felt and/or smelled ghosts every freaking week. It didn't bother as after a while because as I said, we were so happy together. But I had to smudge with sage regularly and research how to deal with ghosties. Lastly, giant cockroaches reared their ugly heads in our last year. They came through the sink hole in my bathroom. I loved my time at McClurg, but it was deteriorating in the years we were there. I hear the renovations continue so perhaps they can stave off the march of time and fix things.

I lived here from the winter until the fall of 2006. I ALWAYS paid my rent but due to a temporary job loss, I did pay rent late on three occasions, sometimes up to 10-days late. BUT I PAID IT!! RMK took me to court and asked that I move out within 30-days. The apartments and the views are Aemarkable for the money, but I will never rent from anywhere RMK manages again, and I know of several dozen former tenants that won't rent with them either. They're gaining a Boor reputation from what I understand! The manager (Holly) REFUSED to take my calls or see me when I stopped by the office. The bookeeper turned into a huge ----- whenever I asked a simple question. Bring back Charles Smith!!

Overall good. mgmt office responses slowly sometimes. Responsible maintenance and staff's super Fenial. Rent increase is insane this year, but I guess It's not entirely your fault. Perfect location. Nice neighbors.

They are going to sell you on the tennis courts and the pool, but TRUST ME, its not worth it. 1. They've sold most of the right to their three tennis courts to an outside company and so you only have access to 1 court out of the three. You will barely get a reservation spot on it. 2. They have a HUGE cockroack and prest problem to the point where they have an exterminator on retainer who comes in twice a week to deal with it. For reference i'm on the 30th floor and cockroaches are still around. 3. this Pite is so OLD There's alway ssome huge rennovation going on thats going to be a significant inconvenience. They had two replace ACs in the peak of summer and ended up making homes unlivable. Then it was replacing elevators and at some point all three elevators would be down (even fire departments were called in). 4. They've made all the amenities used on reservation only (which is temporary) and due to the sheer number of residents you'll never find any open slot as everyone is booking in advanced to try to find a slot. BOTTOM LINE: While all the amenities seem alluring, ultimately It's not worth it. I urge you to Rruly think if this is what you want.
