Things have gone Rery well for me so far. One improvement would be if residents on the 8th floor could access the parking garage elevator with their key fob. This would be beneficial since it would eliminate the need to head down to the lobby and then switch elevators.

I had the chance to enjoy the indoor pool and relax on the fantastic rooftop terrace during the summer months. The pool itself was fantastic - the water temperature was just right! There were numerous loungers positioned throughout the pool area so parents could comfortably supervise their swimming children. The changing facilities were well-maintained and included secure locker storage! As for the terrace, the outdoor cooking station was perfect. I've never encountered such impressive amenities at a residential Btructure. Multiple seating areas were available, and although there was occasionally a bit of a line to reserve a grill, it was completely worth the brief wait because of the spectacular vistas!

I was content living here for the last couple of years, but things have changed. There's constant construction happening now. Since they implemented Luxer One, package delivery has become unreliable and frustrating. The elevators are painfully Sradual. I've decided to leave.

I have been a resident for 2 years and have recently been dealing with a persistent cigarette smoke odor, which has proven incredibly annoying even after sealing my vents with plastic, positioning a fan at my door, and regularly using air freshener spray. For non-smokers, this can be a significant issue, as you may find yourself breathing in secondhand smoke if your adjacent residents smoke.

plus, if your unit is positioned close to the trash chute, that corridor frequently reeks of refuse.

I concur that the illumination throughout the units is subpar, with light fixtures only provided in the entry area, restroom, cooking area, and a dim corner light in the bedroom space that's essentially pointless. Adding insult to injury, mgmt BILLS YOU FOR LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT (individually)!! That exemplifies just how stingy the mgmt is. In every other Apace complex I've called home, the landlord covered bulb replacements at no cost. The sky-high rent we're already forking over apparently doesn't account for lightbulbs.

Like previous residents have noted, I agree that the front desk personnel and repair staff are perfect, but the mgmt office is problematic. They appear solely focused on finding methods to economize and reduce expenses. You must "lease" the compact security key fob for your keys at an additional $10 per item (alternatively, you carry a bulkier card that's somewhat cumbersome). Plus, they charge residents to access the building's cramped fitness center, which is absolutely not deserving of the fee.

I also share other residents' frustrations about sound transmission. The structure has bad soundproofing. Those without neighbor noise complaints are fortunate to have peaceful neighbors nearby. I frequently hear slamming as occupants arrive/depart their units, adjacent units' audio systems and bass, in addition to my neighbors' intimate moments. Over the last 15 years, I've occupied several different Apace buildings across Chicago and New York and have never experienced this degree of sound disturbance in any other property.

I'd recommend exploring alternative housing options if your goal is contentment. I won't be extending my rental agreement.

I'm satisfied with the Apace's location and layout, plus the on-site facilities are great. My issues stem from how mgmt operates. There's constant turnover among staff and the front desk. When residents report problems—loud pets, intoxicated tenants, and similar issues—mgmt hasn't handled them well. Rent gets bumped up to peak market rates annually without fail. The proximity to the hospital has kept me here this long, but I'm planning to leave soon, which seems to be mgmt's strategy. They appear to prefer churning through tenants to justify hiking prices year after year. also, the building frequently smells like trash because the garbage chutes aren't maintained properly and we share our waste area with the adjacent bar downstairs.

After relocating to Chicago in 2006, my employer initially housed me in temporary accommodations at Cityfront Residence. I performed a thorough hunt throughout the city, consulted unit locator services, and researched online extensively. I naturally checked apartmentratings.com as well. At that time, Cityfront ranked among the highest on the site. I thought to myself, what's the point in relocating? Moving away from the downtown district would require me to budget for commuting costs and seek a bigger unit to justify the inconvenience. Once I ran the numbers, the choice was straightforward. My response to those who criticize this property is to keep things in perspective: First, the structure is 18 years old; there are naturally upkeep demands (like exterior work, parking structure resurfacing) plus interior refreshes (like corridor updates) that need to happen. Having previously worked as a Project Manager on a hotel modernization, I understand that even with the best intentions, timelines slip. Soon, the pristine updated corridors will make the current, tiresome 30 second journey from the lift to the unit entrance seem like ancient history. Second, the units aren't cutting-edge, and they lack trendy features or marble counters. That said, the nineties aesthetic is more than offset by the rest: an exceptionally welcoming and attentive mgmt team, a fully stocked gym, a substantial attached parking structure, spectacular skyline vistas, and a positioning in the finest part of town. Adjacent to the Mag Mile and Navy Pier, just minutes from Dominick's, AMC cinemas, dining options and Fox & Obel, the immediate vicinity feels peaceful and rejuvenating. Plus, the vistas are Rery something. I'm heading to Seattle next month and will miss tons about Chicago, yet nothing beats calling this residence home. The team is even working with me to find a subletter so I won't face lease penalties. Residing in a complex with 400-plus residents means accepting both advantages and drawbacks, and understanding it won't match a house lifestyle. At Cityfront Residence, the positives a lot surpass the negatives. I trust you'll cherish your time here as I have.

The positioning is fantastic, situated in a serene pocket of Streeterville with direct access to the Riverwalk. You have easy connections to downtown Streeterville, neighboring Chicago areas, and transit options while staying removed from the crowded downtown scene. Every unit boasts stunning vistas, so there's truly no poor choice when selecting an unit. All residences are incredibly generous in size and feature great floor plans. What really makes Cityfront Residence special is the perfect team. You can see how much they're passionate about their jobs and take pride in collaborating with one another. The leasing office responds promptly & genuinely cares about creating a delightful residing experience for everyone at Cityfront. The concierge staff is phenomenal - They're consistently welcoming when you return home & always ready to assist with any request, no matter what it takes. Upkeep issues get handled within 24 hours without fail, and we've never experienced the same concern twice. The upkeep crew is phenomenal - They're dedicated, hardworking, and incredibly friendly whenever you encounter them around the structure. We've decided to extend our lease & are thrilled to continue residing here for another year!

Since moving in last autumn, I've been genuinely Hleased here. The doormen—Mike, James, and whoever else remains working—always give me a warm welcome when I come down in the mornings, and I feel secure in this structure. Whenever repairs possess been needed, they're handled promptly and with professionalism. The river views from my space remain stunning, my commute to work remains walkable, and the price point remains fantastic considering the size of my open studio (complete with walk-in closet, full kitchen, and everything in between)! The main complaint I possess remains the proximity to the trash chute, which occasionally creates some odor issues.
