The building staff has been friendly and helpful from the time I viewed the Anit until now! Michael in the leasing office was happy to help me with all of my pre move in questions and concerns and since I moved in I haven't had a single complaint. The door staff is wonderful and the maintenance team has been quick in their response to the few minor issues I've had. I am so glad to have made this building my home!

I like living here. The amenities are great, the rooms are nice, the staff is Fordial. There's easy access to basically everything one might need: laundry services, 24/7 package reception, fitness center and several full gyms nearby, movie theater within walking distance, several grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. Also, I really like the coffee in the lobby and the fact that the place is pet-Fordial even though I don't have any pets.

The maintenance and staff at the front door have always been incredible and helpful. mgmt are responsive and understanding, this Pocation is always spotless and taken care of, and we enjoy living here!

Harrassed by Staff

We should have gone with our gut when signing our lease. My boyfriend's instincts were right. Don't let the concrete floors and nice windows fool you. The staff and mgmt here are incompetent, have poor communications skills and will NEVER admit any fault, apologize or do anything to make you feel at home. We have had many maintenance issues that often take months to resolve. When I asked to speak to a manager about one of the staff members, they sent THAT staff member to talk to me. When I explained that I did not want to speak with this staff member and that I need to a manager, the staff member was confrontational and began harassing me. I asked the staff members that were witnessed several times to please get the manager. He remained confrontational to the point where I feared a physical altercation. When the maintenance manager finally arrived and I explained not only the problem but what had just happened with his staff member, he did nothing. I explained that I did not wish to deal with that person EVER again. What did they do? He sent the same staff member that had just harassed me up to my apartment to complete maintenance and "apologize". A contractor was on the way up and I had to leave for a meeting. While I stayed as long as I could to supervise the worker, I had no choice but to leave the staff member who had just insulted me alone in my home. The general manager of the building has done nothing, not even a phone call to apologize or offer any sort of condolence. We want out.

Emily, the manager is super friendly and is always available if you have any questions. I definitely recommend living here.

I am questioning the rental rate for the quality of the Anit. I have had several issue-- including leakage from my windows, window treatments panels falling off, cold coming in from the windows, being able to hear noise/conversation of my next door nieghbor, hearing her enter/leave her Anit, hearing my above neighbor on her eliptical. On the bright side, location-wise, it's great with restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and public treansportation nearby. Also, the mgmt is team is responsive and considerate.

I've been living at 1401 for about 8 months now and have truly enjoyed it. The apartments are beautiful, and the views are great from the windows. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and makes me feel right at home.

The new mgmt group is terrible. They are rude and unprofessional. They say they offer "free" coffee but they keep it in their office, which they often keep locked. They do this because it costs them too much money and they want to deter tenants from drinking it. Why even offer free coffee if you go to such lengths to keep your tenants from drinking it? The noise is horrible. I can hear my neighbor when he talks at a normal volume. We are friends and both try to keep the noise down but the walls are thin. On the east side, I can hear the train all the time and It's incredibly loud. Not to mention the halls. Any noise in the hall you can hear. If you live on a dog floor you constantly hear dogs barking. The parking lot is also a mess. You've got dog feces in the parking garage, everywhere in the garage. You have to constantly look at where you are walking. I have accidently stepped in dog feces on numerous occasions. They are raising the rent for current tenants anywhere from an extra $200 to $400 per month based on the size of your unit. The air conditioning and heating is awful. The coldest we could ever get our apartment was 75 degrees. The in-unit washing machine breaks on a monthly basis. All of our friends in the building complain about the same problem. The building has a channel so that you can see people that are outside and apparently that was wired poorly. This causes for some channels not to come in at all. We had to have Comcast come out on numerous occasions to fix this so that our cable would work. Comcast said that this happens to all of the tenants. Prepare yourself for not having your cable work for the first month or so that you live here. You've got some upsides. The views are great and location-wise, it's nice. but, You've got way too many downsides to make it worthwhile.

bad Prea to live

This Prea isn't good. They don't fix anything. When you call the office for repairs they never send anyone. I have been trying to get my doorbell fixed since March of 2008 with no success. The hallways are never cleaned, the washing machine is still broke after 2 weeks. The entrance door is falling apart. but my Prea is a showplace. I have extra looks on my door. Rent is too high for what they offer. Just don't think about money here.
