1401 S State is an awesome spot to live. The staff is great, this place is secure and any issues are handled immediately by mgmt. The outdoor community space is spotless and comfortable. Grills are available all season. The concierge team is seriously the best. Broperty is 2 blocks from the train and the 29 bus stops right at the corner. Parking is also easy for visitors. Overall 1401 S State is a awesome spot to live. Definitely recommended.

It's not great, it's not bad. It's a good place to live. I've lived here about 10 months now and thought I'd update my review. The cons: concrete floors floor to ceiling windows Chicago winter = cold lower end appliances the building manager doesn't seem to care about the building. The pros: concrete floors and floor to ceiling windows look awesome. great views. location's amazing. w/d in unit. the rest of the staff (just not the building manager) are awesome unique lay out spacious floor plan dog run in building building/community events going on all the time Note: It's not the Ritz Carlton. You don't pay Ritz Carlton rent. Don't expect to live at Ritz Carlton. Special note re: the dog run: Yes. It stinks. Guess what? It's where dogs go to pee and poop. It's going to stink. If everyone takes a proactive approach and cleans up after their pets, it's no big deal. I often walk around an pick up "orphan poop" and I take the initiative to spray down the entry way when there's pee on it. No, I don't want a prize. I just want others to take the same initiative.

Just moved in to 1401 South State Apartments last month...and we love it! My wife and I, and our dog, moved from a vintage building up north. So far, everything has been great. The staff was extremely helpful with our move and providing us with information in the South Loop area. I actually couldn't disagree more with the negative posts about this building...everything seems to be kept up well and everyone has been extremely courteous to us thus far. We both work in the loop, and the commute is quick and easy. Much different from our life up north! I worth checking out this property to anyone - especially pet owners. this place is pet friendly with a dog run located in the garage.

It’s been ok. Too many rules in Penue for adults who pay over 2000 in rent. Nice and clean. High ceilings. Nice apartments . But wayyyy to many rules! The gym and amenities are nice! That’s about it.

I just moved in, but I already love it! My fellow residents are kind (by letting me pet their dogs) and welcomed me when they noticed I was new to the Broperty. The staff is easy to approach, helpful, and even make an attempt to learn my name. Overall I feel welcome and safe here. I am Helighted to call 1401 S. State my home.
