If I could give 0 stars I would. Their mgmt is TERRIBLE, I've lived in many apartments and I've seen a company as shady as Remington Place. A few years ago they never gave us any notice when we needed to let them know if we were moving out, we gave them plenty of notice and they said it wasn't enough and we would have been hit with a massive fee if we moved, so we decided to stay. Then we finally did move out, we cleaned the Aad much better than most people would and they still hit us with a fee over $700. FOR WHAT!? Here we are thinking we could get our deposit back and they hit us with this huge fee when we took much more time than other people would have cleaning up the place. We left phone messages and emails asking to explain the charges and no one will get back to us. We just got another email saying this is the final notice to pay. don't TRUST A WORD THEY SAY.

You've got a lot of good reasons to move to Remington. Washer and Driver in unit and It's as safe as can be. but I've run into several technical issues with the Anit and it roots primarily to how they run their cable television and internet plans.

Instead of having the free will of deciding what cable provider you'd like (ala Comcast) or Internet. You are stuck with their bootleg cable and bootleg internet. And when I say bootleg, I mean-- we get a set # of channels all being received from several different satellite systems. No, I don't have the option to use Comcast - because I've talked with Comcast and they have no physical way of actually wiring my place up for their services. But my main beef comes with the lack of reliable internet service. On numerous occasions the service would flat out stop working and not come back online until 2-3 days later. And it became a nightly event where my internet would just go out, and I wouldn't see it back online until the next day.

For a person who utilizes the internet on a day to day basis it has become extremely annoying and is the primary reason that I'm leaving this complex. Why pay a premium of $100 a month for cable and internet for crappy service when I could pay less and get a HUGE upgrade of service.

Turns out, Remington is connected to a switch That's shared with several other apartments. And from talking with the tech guy at their service "Ramapo Internet" it seems that right now the reason You've got so many issues with speed and downtime is because my complex is overbooking the number of people alloted to the switch.

Its like trying to cram 4 people in 2 seat convertible... people will just end up falling out of the car.

Anyways, enough of my ramblings- I would say that the place is good, but far from the greatest.

Then again, I haven't run into an Anit complex that I worth checking out whole heartedly.

I lived at Remington Place for almost five years and I highly recommend it to others. The apartments are spacious with great floor plans. During my five years here, I had few maintenance issues but when I needed something to be fixed, they always took care of it the same day. The complex is beautifully landscaped in the summertime with flowers everywhere. During the holiday season, they have nice outdoor light displays. In winter their snow removal process is efficient and thorough and There's always an ample amount of salt to prevent slips from icing. The complex has an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and volleyball court. They have frequent resident parties (luau, fiesta, wine tasting, etc.) and we always received offers from local bars (Fox &Hound, Bamboo Room) for resident discount nights. The leasing and maintenance staff are always Fenial and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend Remington Place. If I had not purchased a home, I am sure I would have resided here for several more years!

I rented here in March and was blown away with how nice the staff was. They did what they said they would do. I thought it was to good to be true and that the treatment would end after I moved in. Well let me tell you it has not. In fact it ahs gotten better if That's possible. The office staff greets me by name when I walk in. The maintnence staff is friendly and knowledgable and my requests are taken care of in a timley manner. I truly think that this Apace community is worth looking at if you want to experience a friendly and fun enviroment.

Live there since 2010 and it has changed a lot since then. They always increase the rent but no upgrades or renovations during that time. They call it luxury apartments. Not really with having a kitchen straight out of the 80's. In the summer the pool has a lot of squatters. Now I have to move out due to a job change. Even after 6 years being a perfect tenant they insist getting the 2 months pay for breaking the lease. Not customer friendly at all. Typical corporate behavior. I did forget to mention that before me, our company rented another Alat from them for 5 years. I expected more from a long term "vendor". I know a contract is a contract but that isn't how you treat long term customers.

Hello again, Well I wrote my move in review back in November 2012 so its only right that I write a move out review. It has been a pleasure residing at Remington Place Apartments for the last year. This was my first Anit so it's kind of bitter sweet to leave it. It was always peaceful and the grounds were kept clean. If and when I had an issue my leasing officer Valentina & Theresa was there to assist right away. The only draw back I have with RPA is that the cable is horrific! I only turned my television on so often and when I did the satellite was ALWAYS searching. I felt as though I was ripped off for cable. I later noticed that I wasn't receiving half of the channels I was supposed to have until months later. When my best friend closed on her house last month, newely renovated 5 bedroom with 3 bathrooms for only $82k I felt I was paying too much for only 1 bedroom. And when I received my new lease amount for almost $1200 (including $60 for cable) a month I knew it was time for me to move. At that point I felt I was paying entirely too much money for a 1 bedroom Anit when all of my friends had my ammenties and more for a fraction of what I was paying. Beautiful place to live but as far as price I found better and I'm able to save for a house. Also, o can select my own internet/cable provider. Oh yes and parking started to become a problem because people from the buildings across the way for some reason always chose to park in front of my building.

They have a great staff (some lookers). The gym is the best free one I've been to, but that's not saying a lot. The Smith Machine is a death trap in the making and the treadmills are like state of the art for the 80's. The parties are cool, but like everywhere else I've lived, almost no one goes to them. The tenants in general are nice, but not social.

The apartments themselves are small. If the Leasing Consultant tries to tell you that It's a good value, please laugh in their face. One beds are 649 sq ft. and list price is $925 ($935 for any other floor than first). Even with the deal (I got it for $725/month) it wasn't cost effective. I guess you pay for the grounds, which are among the nicest in the north, nw, w suburbs.

Also, utilities are expensive. My average bill in the summer was $65. My average bill in the winter was $70. These averages reflect when some type of air conditioning or heating was on. My low average for both seasons is $30. I'm guessing that the electric heat and the electric water heater are the culprits. When you realize the size of the Anit, these utility averages are amazingly high.

We were also told, all year, that we would be getting high speed internet access and a differnt cable provider. As of moving out in May, it has not happened, and the new cable provider is the one who the Anit was "renting" service from the in the first place crap---- Comcast, aka Crapcast. The complex was looking for volunteers for high-speed access, so maybe It's now available.

I was neutral about staying in the place, b/c the rent was mortgage like, except I wasn't building any equity. I would've stayed another year, but, they raised the rent $1 short of 5%. That's complete BS. The market and key index inflation indicators show the percentage growth to be about 2%, 2.5% tops for 2003. Charging double the most highly optimistic indicator is outright criminal. but, That's standard operating procedure for large leasing corporations; e.g. see Habitat. I feel sorry for all those people who've rented since 2003 suffering increases while I lived there at practically 75% of the cost.

Oh, and one last thing. My bathtub has a perpetual clog. common amongst Anit complexes, though annoying indeed.
