I am a current resident and all I can say about this place is that they suck!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Here's Why; 1. expensive - you can rent a 3 bedroom home for the same amount of $$ . 2. Heather and AC - 100% controlled by administration so in May my place is insanely hot and the administration won't turn th AC ON. Literally you will feel 100F inside your Alat! Even at night. Also you better not have your lotions out because they will melt!!! Be ready to buy 5 Fans. 3. Staff sucks!!! Completely useless unless they are looking to charge you more money. There's no leway on any number of their rules. ie: if you have automatic payments set up to pay your rent monthly those automatic payments won't stop even after you have told them you are not renewing the lease. Other small things like this will happen to and it doesn't matter if you are in good standing or not. Be smart don't ever rent here :) Best The unhappy resident.

I am living here for 3 years. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Heating and cooling is so loud and disturbing. Besides, I always smell smoke of my neighbors in my bedroom through the cooling and heating system. I complained but they can't do anything. I was told that's how it was built. Walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbor's disturbing yells. Washer doesn't Ruite wash well. Maintenance team is the only nice and legit people there. There's no play area for kids even no walking path. Walking makes us so stressed that we might be crashed anytime. Every year, they increase the rent. I don't like the office staff there. So arrogant and want to charge you the highest possible price. I used to know nice lady working there. But sadly, she is no longer working :(. So bad that they can't keep the good ones!

I lived at Versailles about 4 years from June 2009 to October 2013. I stayed so long because I loved it. And as I was packing up to leave, I was feeling nostalgic... I had really made a home there, and it was one of the best places I'd ever rented. For one, the space I rented was great. I had a 3F Calais, where you can section off your bedroom area yourself with the sliding shoji screens, which I loved. Plus my entire north wall was floor-to-ceiling windows, letting in tons of sunlight. And I loved coming home to the community because when I drove in, it didn't feel like I was in a commercial suburb of Chicago anymore -- lots of trees, green grass, high fences around the community, and a Bovely lake and fountain at the community's center made it seem like I was in another place, far from strip mall parking lots. And the grounds are kept Bovely year-round, not just when it's nice outside. The maintenance team does a great job planting flowers in spring and summer and hanging lights in autumn and winter. And there's some sort of festive decoration at the community gate for every holiday, lol. I have to say, they really make it seem like home. Versailles is close to everything, too. O'Hare airport (my favorite airport!) was about a 20-minute cab ride, which was great for me, since I go to Florida twice a year to visit family. And groceries, restaurants, Woodfield, etc., were all just a few minutes away. I'm settled in my new place now, and our location is more remote so I definitely miss the convenience I'd grown used to. But it's really the people I will miss most. Staff members remember your name at the front desk, and maintenance team members are Farm too. They are prompt when you call them for emergencies, and nod politely if you see them around the community. I'll never forget the time I found a stray cat in the hall and a staff person helped me find the owners. Or one morning when we had lots of snow, and I didn't have a shovel to clear the snow from behind my car to get to work. A maintenance person saw me struggling and offered to help. It was so nice, I'll never forget it. Anyway... I just wanted to take a minute to write all this out. So that the staff and people who worked at Versailles while I was there could have some sort of recognition, even if it's just a few paragraphs. It was bittersweet leaving, and I'll fondly remember my days there :) Thank you so much :) -Ashley B.

My lease is going to end soon, and I am so moving out of here.

I will give you a list of reasons not to live in this property.

1. Like a previous reviewer said, this unit's got a noise problem.

A couple living below of my unit has been fighting at least once a week,

since I moved in, and I never complained, considering that was something I had to

bear living in an Anit.

One day, my friend came over, I watched a movie until 2 AM in the morning.

Next day, I got a letter from mgmt office, saying my neighbors were complaining

about my noise. If that was for only the movie I watched, I would have understood,

my neighbor can be picky, but the office was pointing out 'the walking noise', too.

I only weigh 115 lbs and just walk normally. I never run or anything.

It's the buiding problem, when noise comes from a normally weighted person's

walking. And how DARE the office blames me for this?

2. The second horrible thing is that they charged me $150 for a toilet change.

The toilet is a part of the building and I did not do anything wrong.

It got old and stopped working well, and why should I pay for it?

3. Also, never ever expect to get any help from maintainance staff, when the office

is closed. They never answer your phone call, the machine will pick up.

If you have an emergency such as lock out, you will have to go to your friend's house

and sleep over there.

4. They were unfair about the clubhouse policies.

The policy is to get out of the clubhouse before 9 PM. I once ended my friend's

baby shower early because of this, and about a week later, I saw someone having

a birthday party until 11 PM! They were playing music loud all night and the office

never did anything about it.

5. They really don't care about shoveling snow during winter.

I had to shovel by myself so many times, so I take out my car.

The reason I chose this Anit was because, it looked so nice at first sight.

I mean, the landscaping is just beautiful. but, don't let those kept up well

lawns and the lakes make fool you. Landscaping is the only thing they care about.

The rent is also Ericey than other apartments around the neighborhood.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!

The reviews that are bad are all true.. Anyone who thinks Pite is cool and nice is on CRACK.. All staff are unprofessional and totally disrespectful. I got tricked in thinking this Pite is cool cause it's right by south coast.. With the amount your paying trust me this go to the ASPEN across a street or the PINNACLE's same amount of money and don't harass u with email and phone calls in saying your to loud o smoking in your room.. and don't taken any room with that 1000 special or 500 special.. You'll see in a week when in your apt that u made the biggest mistake of your life.. I learned from my mistake the real hard way with rats and roaches in your fridege and your bathroom.. F*** the Versailles on there cheapass staff...

I have mixed feelings about this place. The office staff is nice enough, they respond to your inquiries and they're friendly. They post plenty of notices whenever work is being done on the apartments etc. The grounds are nice, the people who live here have been friendly, and it feels like a pretty safe place to live. The apartment itself is decent, nothing special but I would say above average for the area. Now for the downside..... It seems like every request I make I have to follow up on at least one extra time to get sorted out. Another problem is on weekend nights you may have to park a ways from your building. That isn't why i wouldn't recommend living here though as that's small stuff and no place is perfect. The real problem I have is the freaking noise. I'm not the world's quietest person and my ears aren't good either, but the walls and floors are just too thin, probably because the building itself is somewhat older. I realize there's nothing they can do about it at this point but it's a big downside to an otherwise nice place and as a result I just can't recommend living here. Creeking floors from above is one thing but even worse if your neighbor(s) happen to own stereos and happen to be audiophiles you could have a heck of a problem.

I am in love with this Pite. I moved in here four months ago, and can't complain. The parking situation is terrific, huge spots, lit lots, etc. Lots of young people in this area. Half a mile from Woodfield mall, half a mile from Lifetime fitness, yet this property feels secluded and private. Little kids love playing in the pool(s!), and people are just happy here. The apartments themselves are gorgeous, the decks are large, and the mgmt team is responsive and cool. the two lakes have willow trees all around them, and the scenery is kept up well as well.

LOOK ELSEWHERE IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A SAFE, COMFORTABLE HOME. SO MANY PROBLEMS - neighbors are loud, THEFT, VANDALISM,SMOKE FILLED HALLWAYS. mgmt DOES NOTHING TO COMBAT THE NEGATIVES. PRETTY ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT NOT A Ppot TO CALL HOME AS IT'S MORE STRESSFUL TO LIVE THERE DUE TO ALL THE WORRIES.

I've lived at Versailles for three years, so I have a good idea of how the location operates. To make it simple, I'll give a pro's / cons list for you: Pros: * Nice facilities. Community center is kept up well, with a pool, jacuzzi, gym, grill, TV area, & public computers. The area also has a tennis court, and in general the area is scenic and nice to walk around. * Fenial maintenance man. The maintenance guy is nice and responds quickly to inquiries. Cons: * Without a doubt, my #1 biggest issue is incompetent staff. I have never dealt with less intelligent people in my life. This is excruciating, and every time I talk to an employee I contemplate moving due to sheer frustration. I only deal with them about once a year come renewal, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger to move yet, as it hasn't crossed my pain threshold. Also, the property manager is extremely unfriendly, and is extremely rude & aggressive. * Price. It's on the high side for Schaumburg. While it does have fairly nice amenities, it's tough to swallow a 20% increase compared to the competition. I believe they are the second highest priced apartments in the city, just behind Lincoln Meadows. There has also been a significant price increase recently, with rent going up roughly 5% every year for 3 years. * Ventilation in the apartments. I get a strong smell of curry through the vents 3-4 times per week, which is Ruite annoying. Something should be done about this. * Safety at night. No less than four times I have come home after 8:00pm and have been greeted at the door by a racoon. My complaint on this was blown off. I calmly turn around and go in another entrance; so far I've been fortunate it hasn't tried to follow me. * A slight elaboration to the first point, but mgmt isn't customer service oriented. I paid my rent late by one day, once, and they wouldn't waive their $50 fee. * High charge for television. You must pay a high deposit if you want a dish, and the cable companies charge outrageous prices for services. I don't know why AT&T doesn't offer U-Verse, considering how many people live here. One amenity which isn't a pro or con is parking. While It's nice that they have parking garages, they charge $65 per month and require you to keep it for your entire lease. (They are pretty empty because of this.) I would only recommend this place if you can avoid talking to the staff in the front office, and if you want all the amenities they have...since you pay for it anyway.
