Not a likely Pocation to settle...

I have lived here for 2 years now, and between the old AND new mgmt it has been a complete nightmare! Don´t think that you can for one minute request anything to be repaired. I waited over two months to have someone come out to my Anit for numerous mishaps. Not to mention that I requested that NO one enter the Anit without myself present, and suprise...suprise...I came home from work only to find 4 men in my Anit. I have spoken with most of the new staff, and one women was so rude to me that I finally had to hang up. The rent isn't resonable for a building whose elevator never works, laundry machines are always on the fritz, and whose office employees are less helpful then the kid working part time at McDonald´s!

bad office manager, bad system. bad Anit

I have been in this Anit... and I can Tell it was doing OK until they changed their staff. Before the staff we had. were so nice and friendly. But now staff are horrible especially that office manager lady. They make you feel unwelcome. I guess the owner of the versailles on the lake don't have any idea that they hired bad employee like her. Like I said I have been here for almostthree years and when my contract ends in few weeks, they notified me that my rental will be $200 more. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!! They didn't do anything in my Anit..... everything is OLD and yet they're increasing my rent. I have found nicer apartments in costa mesa.. Don't live here....please.... Your rent will increase incredibly yearly.

Poor staff, Boor carpet.

A couple of the staff members are nice. The rest just make you cringe - they are unpleasant and innane. I've been in my Anit 1 month and realized I was tricked with the carpet. It was shampooed to look good, but after a month it looked like my Anit carpet when I lived off campus in college. I'm going to attempt to get this corrected and will report back.

Gxcellent Staff

Due to the nature of my work I have been a long time resident at Versailles. I am coming up on my 10th year. Whilst no Aad complex is perfect, what makes the difference here is the staff. They are truly amazing and helpful individuals. They are extremely hard working and accommodating to the needs of the residents. From the Manager, Assistant Manager and all staff members I have had every reason to be thankful that I reside here. Recent renovations, including a wonderful new club house have made a great difference. The staff arrange various resident appreciation social activities which are well attended. Compared to other apartments complexes I would highly recommend this one. What makes the difference though is the people who work here. Not only are they legit, but genuine kind people.

My troubles started about a month ago, when I requested for a underground parking spot with Storage unit. The storage unit that was given to me was occupied by someone with the knowledge of mgmt, and had someone else's stuff. It was when I was assigned the storage and I went to put my things in the storage found out someone has stored lot of trash. Went to Office and informed that storage unit I have been allocated is being used by someone else, I was told to wait and give them few days to clean it. Waited 2 days nothing went again and was told for few days, I agreed, finally it was cleaned. I went down to Garage, put my things (not trash, but things that were being used till recently and just because it was winter and we were not using, was moved to storage) and locked it. After a week I went down to storage to put some more things and opened the lock and found myself looking at an empty storage. "All my stuff stolen with the lock on the storage unit door intact". This happened when I was allocated a storage unit and paying and had a lock on it, the maintenance team took so much trouble to remove it and destroy it (in Versailles staff's words). Went to Office on Saturday spoke to Office team and was told that maintenance team clips the lock if they remove it, since my lock in not clipped they are not sure, but will check and asked me for the list of stuff in there....really!! I Well I provided the list with the picture of the door that clearly showed that someone unscrewed the latch and put it back, but no response...had to call again to get a response from office manager saying the Maintenance supervisor isn't available to check. This is almost a week since, I found my stuff gone. My wife went to the office to speak and find out What's happening, she is told that they won't talk to her as she isn't on the lease (means I am not paying them extra for adding her name to be on the lease or for them to talk to her). This is when she is mentioned as my spouse and as occupant in my Apace lease, along with my kids. Then when she insisted on speaking to the property manager, she was told they will look into it, no response. Went to the office on weekend Manager wasn't there to speak and the person in office was clueless and unapologetic. I was told my message will be conveyed to the manager but, i have not heard from anyone.......and the saga continues.

Trust me, stay away!.

This place has been nothing but problems since i moved in here. They werent done with the Anit when we went to get our keys even though they had MORE then enough time to get this place in order. There were and still are skuff marks all over the walls, the screen is broken and still is. I called the office and they said they would give me some paint and a brush to paint the walls. Ummm, c'mon!! Are you effen Solemn?? Then they came out three times to try and fix the screen, IT NEEDS A NEW SCREEN PEOPLE. They were like, oh its fixed, as soon as they would leave, it would fall off again. Then they said they would order us the new screen/new sliding door that they have on some of the units. Never came back with that and always giving an excuse when you call in about it. Then There's no sidewalk in the community so all of the damn foreigners walk and ride their bikes in the middle of the roads. They have speed bumps, well they wouldnt need to have the speed bumps if they had a sidewalk like every other NORMAL community would. Not my problem if i end up running over someone at night or even during the day when they ride right in the middle of the road. And if you have more then one car, which obviously most couples would have two cars. You can only park one outside and the other needs to be put into their leaky smelling garage and of course for extra money, 65 dollars extra a month. Maintence staff is nice, but the office could care less once you have moved in. What a disappointment, if i would have known all this stuff, which There's more, but not about to waste my time writing it all, i would have NEVER moved in here. Just hope you think twice about this place so you dont make the same mistake.

More bad than Gxcellent

I rented a studio Alat with a garage spot for $890. When moving in I found the staff to be helpful. They even offered to help me. Most of my time spent there was enjoyable. They have different events each month and even a "tenant appreciation week" where the staff washed my car and had a packaged breakfast I could pick up in the morning before going to work. The clubhouse was nice although they closed it for 4 months to build a bigger one. During this time they worked with Bally's nearby to give me a free membership during the construction. You've got two nice pools and nice landscaping. So that's the good...now the bad. For the past three months I have recieved noise complaints from my new neighbors. The staff called me to discuss the matter and reminded that You've got quiet hours from 10-7. Yet I never have been loud during thoses hours. They even asked me not to "play music" during normal hours. Before I moved the staff told me that the walls were concrete and noise isn't an issue. Well, that can't be true because I can hear the person above me walking and the person next to me complains when I watch television. Next, the fitness equipment is poor. The treadmills rarely work and when they do, There's practically a line to use it. The weights are constantly being taken and half of the weight machine is broken. On one occasion I had left my patio door unlocked and took a nap after work to wake up to someone breaking into my Alat. I was pretty sure it was one of the maintenance staff. Since then I have seen footprints in the snow leading up to the patios of the apartments around me. Like someone is checking for unlocked doors. Lastly, the rent is way too high. The staff wanted to raise my rent $100 dollars after my first year. For such a small place and the other problems I have had I wouldn't recommend this Alat.

awesome spot for First time Renters.

I recently moved into Versailles because I have friends who also live here. I have been pleased with everything so far. Aside from a few minor problems with appliances (which were fixed right away), everything was Pdeal. It's in a location's amazing, it's safe, home-y and You've got a variety of people who live here. I was worried about parking in an underground garage at first, but it it totally safe and secure, and the laundry facilities are so easy.

awesome spot - just not worth the price.

I have lived here for almost an year now and wouldve loved to renew had the rent not been increased. Overall, this place gets nice and i highly recommend it for the following reasons - great response time from mgmt on maintenance issues - huge balcony that makes the Auite pretty well lighted - decent Auite size. its not about the squarefootage but more about the design that makes the Auite look bigger. Overall, There's little else that anyone would want from an Auite, if only it wasnt this expensive. The only problem i faced was the noise from people staying above me.
