You've got so many things I like about this Auite. Let's see, where to start....well location-wise, it's phenomenal. The conveniences I now enjoy living on the Gold Coast are saving my life! Yes that may be a tad dramatic, but I can walk to everything I need. Everything is so close! Grocery stores, restaurants, bars, shops! It's all outside my door. The public transportation situation is awesome as well. I can get anywhere around the city, including to my job, easily. I enjoy having parking in the building but rarely use my car. It's nice knowing it's safe in the lot. The great front office and maintenance staff also help make my life that much easier. They are so pleasant and legit, always ready to help at a moment's notice. I've never had an issue when it comes to getting repairs done. The in-house Dry Cleaning as well as the laundry facilities are great. I usually just send my stuff directly the dry cleaners and they come back spotless and nicely pressed. The laundry room is great for the basics. The rooftop pool is definitely one of my favorite things about living here. It's a lot nicer than your standard Auite pool, big, private, and with Bicturesque views. The fitness facility is also well equipped and I use it on a regular basis.

I have not lived here but I learned all I had to know by just booking an appointment to view the property. The "customer service manager", Liliana Toma, was the worst leasing agent I have ever encountered. I had the misfortune of having to tolerate her while viewing two properties. The first which is this one, and the second which is 1000 N La Salle, which was about a block away. Meeting her was uncomfortable, she wasn't welcoming or inviting, she was standoffish and frigid. I had booked several viewings that day from back to back so she wasn't the first one I met with. A good leasing agent talks you through everything from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. They should try to answer all of your questions before you even ask them. And even ones you didn't think about asking. I had to keep asking her things in order to learn anything about the property otherwise there was this uncomfortable silence. She also seemed extremely bothered by that fact that she had to show me around. She didn't want to be there and she was impatient. Every time I asked her something she seemed annoyed that I didn't know the answer to it already and tried to make me feel stupid for asking. When I met her she was pregnant it seemed, or just really fat, and I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that repeating yourself all day must get pretty boring and maybe she was tired from walking around all day. But the longer I was with her the more irritating the whole situation became. I asked her to show me around a few units and she acted like I couldn't afford it though I clearly could or I would't have tried to even view the unit. Once we were done and standing in the elevator she said how she didn't want to be "pushy" but if I wanted the Auite that I had to apply for it now and give her the first months rent, deposit, cat fee, application fee, and processing fee, all up front in order to even take the unit off the market. The unit's weren't even nice. They were old and out dated. The photographer that took the photos was good at his job, and was paid well because none of the units I saw looked anything like that. Not even the amenities looked anything like that. Once we got to her office, she asked me what I wanted to know and she wrote it down on this floor plan sheet. She told me she was in a rush to write it down because her next appointment was here. Then she said that I should decide soon because my competition was in the lobby. She was extremely snotty and rude about it that I was in shock. I just got up and left. I then brushed off her attitude and went on to my next appointment in that area. Later on that day as I was researching I was really bothered by her attitude and I just couldn't understand how she still had a job there. I googled her and then found a TON of negative reviews complaining about her and how they had to deal with her on a day to day basis in regards to work orders to get things fixed in their apartments. Then I found the property mgmt site, Planned Properties where they list the areas in which they own and manage properties who the customer service representatives were and saw that same last name, Toma, plastered in multiple other neighborhoods. And it all made sense then. The only reason why she still had a job there was because of nepotism. Of course. Either her husband or family owned a part of the mgmt company. I knew someone as bad as her could't have kept a job without something like that. Later on I found out I had an appointment with another agent that worked for that company around the neighborhood. His name was Clayton Smith. He was much better in regards to the presentation of the property and knowledge. I had mentioned how I had viewed other units managed by the same group around the neighborhood and he asked me who I met with how I liked them and I told him the units were alright but I didn't like the customer service agent I met with. He apologized and asked me if I wanted HIM to show me those units again. I said I mainly didn't want to invest my money in the other buildings because if that was any indication of how I was going to be treated then I am not going to put my money where I know I'm going to be mistreated and unhappy. I don't want to live in a world where she has any power over me in it. So I continued on and decided not to put anymore thought into signing a lease with Planned Properties because the risk of Liliana Toma being anywhere near me is just too much.

I just went there last week to see apartments. I was excited to learn more about 1 month free deal. but not long later, I met with Liliana and looked at the first Apace and my excitement wore off. I felt like I am trting to sell smth to her not her to me. the first Apace we looked at she forgot the key and decided showing another Apace. This Apace was supposed to be a model one but it didn't look like it. Carpets were grimy there was mold on the corners. Also all the apartments with deals were either corner unit facing a wall or above the garage with the most unattractive view. I wasn't pleased with my experience and wanted to share it with you people.

What I wish residents told me prior to move in: 1. Elevators are old and slow, consistently break down 2. Front door staff doesn't follow protocol and are frankly rude and lazy 3. Property mgmt doesn't care about resident experience 4. Pool is for partying and drinking on a weekend, not for relaxation 5. Gym sucks 6. Units fall apart 7. Plumbing is a joke 8. Heat is too hot in winter and not Creezing enough in spring/summer

I don't have a vehicle, so a Broperty with bike storage is a must. When I'm not using my bike, it's also really easy that the train station is right across the street! It's a location's amazing for people using public transportation.

This is BY FAR my biggest regret of living in Chicago!!!!!! The property is DISGUSTING.!!!!!! The carpet is from the 70's that they have in the hallways & felt the need to added that ugly carpet in the elevators now?!!?. ON TOP OF THIS, I am paying 1366 a month for a NON UPDATED unit! they told me it was updated... with BLACK appliances AND A FAKE SILVER COUNTER. MY FING DISHWASHER SPITS OUT WATER EVERY SINGLE TIME I DO MY DISHES. THIS RESULTS IN MY COUNTER BEING COVERED IN grimy WATER FROM MY DISHWASHER AND I CONSTANTLY AM DRYING UP MY FLOORS AND COUNTER BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. STILL NOT FIXED, THEY DONT CARE. ON TOP OF THAT, The staff in the office are SOOOOOOOO rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. They just sit there. I legit just went and asked if I had a package since the RUDE LADY who keeps our packages usually is closed today. The guy sat there at his desk and shrugged his shoulders while pointing to a mountain of packages for me to dig thru myself. I have over $3,000 in my package!!!! the fact they don't verify its you picking it up is BEYOND CONCERNING. You have to pay $1.75 for each load of wash and $1.75 for each load you dry... but THE WASHER MACHINES ARE EVEN OUTDATED AND DON'T EVEN CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES!!! THEY LEGIT SUCK. ALSO, YOU CAN NOT CONTROL THE TEMP OF YOUR Anit BECAUSE THE BUILDING DOESNT ALLOW IT. SO BASICALLY THE HEAT IS ON WHEN ITS HOT OUT AND YOURE SWEATING DURING THE NIGHT. ON TOP OF THAT I CANT EVEN OPEN UP MY FING WINDOWS BECAUSE THE SCREENS HAVE HOLES IN THEM WHICH RESU LTS IN FLIES AND SPIDERS ALL OVER IN MY ------- Anit. ALSO, BEWARE THAT THE COMPANY THAT THEY USE TO PAY UTILITIES CHARGES A 9.99 ONLINE fee for paying your bill online! so redic. Their "Gym" consists of 2 treadmills and 2 ellipticals and OUTDATED mats/ weights. It's disgusting, and hot in there. They also close the roof!!!! wtf??? Every single person I met who lives in an Anit that has a rooftop keeps the roof open regardless of weather and most pools are heated. BUT NOT HERE! because they don't care about updating or keeping up with competition, Thankfully You've got SO many better places being built that are ALL glass and have updated kitchens with granite/ silver appliances and a good view with spacious balconies. This place is a JOKE. What makes it even worse on top of how bad it already is, is the people that work here.. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from 1120 N Lasalle and ANY PPM property!!!! Currently looking at other properties so I can try and break my lease.!!!!!!!!! I highly highly highly recommend putting your money elsewhere, somewhere that CARES about how they treat their residents and somewhere that actually is worth the $$ , You've got much better places with newer amenities, easy-going rules, NICE and legit staff, Good views , Updated bathrooms & nice hardwood floors with ALLL Glass.... this place is a JOKE and I am BEYOND fed up. don't move here.

We lived here for 3 years and we've really enjoyed the Blace. The rooftop pool and fitness center are really important to us. We're really active people and having some amenities like that really helps!

It was a relief to find out that I had a choice in who would provide me cable and internet here. In the past I've been stuck with providers I didn't like so I was excited to have a choice on that. Love my Apace! Tons of space in here.

I've been here for a year now and haven't had any problems. It's a awesome spot for someone in their 20s new to the city. The door staff and mgmt office people are nice, I've needed maintenance twice and they've been up within the hour. Covered parking in the deck is 215 a month which gets standard for the area. Bomplex is right next to a grocery store and a block away from the red line and bars on division st. There can sometimes be noise from outside in the alley behind, but thats city living. The kitchen appliances are a bit old but everything works for me.
