BEWARE by far the worst place to live! Management doesn’t do anything. Outdated apartments. Property manager who sexually assaults tenants. Property manager showed my dear friend an inappropriate picture. Neighbors who harass neighbors. My car destroyed while being parked in parking lot. HOW DOES SOMEONE HIT A PARKED CAR?? So called cameras on property but yet couldn’t catch who did it to my car.. ?? my car was plastic so no color would come off. Our neighbors harassed me because their son touched my car with their friends.. and they would come and bang on my door.. slam their door and shake my apartment.. female neighbor when she would pass me in hallway would shove me and call me a -----. The lady did it everyday until we moved we moved she would harass me. Her and the property manager are best friends he told her everything. She’s even come to my door trying to get past my boyfriend wanting to beat me up. they are close to property manager and he told them personal stuff about me. All the stuff left in the hallways when they know the fire department comes they remove it and then put it back out after they leave. That stove in pictures has been in that same spot for 2 years. And office managers do not do a thing. I call and call and call and they do not do a thing. I felt SUPER unsafe in this place my last year here! I know I paid a security deposit and yet they have the audacity to say I have an outstanding balance. Living here was a nightmare

I have been living here for over a year now, and I'm very satisfied. Every place has it's ups and downs-- here, it would just be creaky floors and dogs barking occasionally throughout the day. However, the office staff is incredible. Everyone is so kind, respectful, and quick to respond to any help you may need or any concerns you may have. The area in general is costly, but I'm satisfied with the money I've spent. I would however recommend budgeting for a parking spot, as parking in this entire neighborhood is a nightmare. Other than that, love this place.

I lived at 540 W. Roscoe for two and a half years and loved it! Unfortunately, I moved back to Iowa, otherwise I would have stayed! The office and maintenance staff are so friendly... they really enjoy getting to know their residents - and their pets! If I didn't visit them weekly (with my dog), they'd start to wonder what happened to me! The apartments are older so they're not high class, but it's really a great little building, tucked in a great little street... just a long block from the lake and right next to lots of little shops and restaurants. Close to the Belmont, Broadway, and Addison buses and just a short bus ride to the red, brown, and purple lines - which I often just walked to/from on nice days! If you own a car, from what I observed, parking can be tricky - the spaces in the garage are tight and street parking can be hard to find, but that's to be expected in most neighborhoods around Chicago. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this building!

I love this building. If I wasn't moving to another state I would love to continue staying here. I love the community of pet owners in the building. So many friends for my little dog to play with. The management staff is the best I have ever come across, they fix any problem on time and are just lovely people all around.

Convenient location but at a cost. Unless you live on the top floor, you are going to hear your upstairs neighbors' footsteps --like Godzilla stomping above. Aside from the boom of each footstep, the wood floors are squeaky. If that weren't enough, the lobby area usually has a strange, broken toilet-type smell. I lived there for a few years because it is a very convenient area. Like most people, I could only take a few years of the noise. If noise doesn't bother you or you can get a place on the top floor, this building is perfect. Well, except for the long wait time on repairs. Oh, and the windows are drafty in the winter.

Convenient, safe area! Management is quick to respond. Noise was not a problem and it is nice having free internet. Made friends with many other pet owners in building.

The building has floors that are really creaky and you can hear your neighbors above you a lot. The floor creaking was a deal breaker for me. Also, there were numerous occasions where the police were called to the building. Both of my neighbors were bad, boyfriend banging on the door to get in, and throwing rocks at windows to get in when they had fights. Neighborhood is great though. Overpriced overall. The management was good about fixing things and packages.
