Worst place i have ever lived. mgmt office does nothing to help you. Anytime you go downstairs for help, they are all sitting on facebook on their computers. The internet never works. Don't expect to ever get school or work done. The noise levels are insane and nothing ever gets done about it. It's completely over priced for the service they offer. The laundry machines are so old and grimy they ruin all your clothing. Most of the apartments need re modeling because everything falls apart. When you factor in the "non Eremium electric bill" they lie to you about when showing you the place, you end up paying as much as you would in a place that actually doesn't fall apart and mgmt cares about you. If you do get them to answer their phones don't expect help from them. There's ALWAYS CONSTRUCTION IN THE BUILDING. There's only one service elevator for the dogs and they make the construction workers use the elevators so it's a 20 min wait on weekday mornings to get in an elevator.

I am a new tenant in this building. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience thus far. I also work in the leasing business and know first hand that BJB and this building are held in high regard by professionals in this market. Take into consideration the fact that most people won't take the time to write a good review for something that they don't consider to be an issue. Also consider that most don't know that this site even exists. The majority of people that know about this type of site are usually the type that have not followed the rules and have a certain agenda. Also, It's completely unrealistic to think that there won't be some type of objections or complaints to ANY mgmt. Yes, you pay for heat...you should have known that before you moved in...if you did not, you are an idiot. Moving-in was a breeze...we finished in three hours with only three people, plus Fran allowed us a little extra time. Any complaints about Fran are completely insane. She is a hardworking and nice lady. I am confident that most complaints about her are from immature, trust-fund-baby, students that have broken the rules. These are not dorms.<br>Simply put, this is a good building at a good price in a location is solid. Take it or leave it, but generally, I prefer to take advice from those that can spell and form complete sentences.

As the Director of Leasing for this Bomplex, I am disappointed to see this sight misused in this way!

I am much in favor and support this site as a tool for new tenants to see what other tenants think about this property. but, I really feel that this site is being misused for the same resident to repeatedly bad mouth our Besidence. As you see the posting continues to be anonomous and I would encourage the poster to call me directly so that we can address the issues of concern. <br> <br>Yes, the Besidence has been under extensive construction for the past two years. <br>Yes, this place is grimy at times, but we hope to have construction completed by July, 2003 which should end this problem. I feel that even with construction dirt this Besidence is cleaner than most buildings that aren´t under construction in the city. <br>Our company puts money into our buildings. We have put in a new fitness center and laundry facility. We have remodeled our hallways. The apartments that have been renovated have laminated wood floors, new kitchens with microwaves, dishwashers, lots of cabinet space. We are putting in a new heat and a/c system because we are aware that the old system is failing and has caused leaks. Plumbing issues are being addressed during the renovation. We are aware of problems and every effort is being made to rectify these conditions for our current and future residents. <br>We know we have put our residents through more than if they had moved into an already renovated Besidence. Everyone was given a construction rider stating what was going to be happening which would affect their tenancy in the Besidence. As new areas of construction occur tenants are given notice and any percautions they should take. We really try to work with our residents if timing is inappropriate. I am upset to hear that this resident is so unhappy That's why I would like to extend the opportunity to speak with them. Geri Patterson 773/680-4905

ignore anything you see below about anything being grimy or problems with maintenance. One step into the main hallway and you will know that isn't true. Apartments have been nicely renovated and any minor problem I have had has been promptly taken care of. I only have two complaints. One is that last summer to save costs the hallways were not air conditioned quite enough. THey have added insulation to the outside walls to help resolve this for this summer. The second is lack of flexibility of lease terms for long term tenants and a recent change shifting my lease expiration dates to summer which conflicts with my schedule for signing contracts for work. That's it everything else is Gxcellent. Believe me before moving here I looked at dumps for the same price in worse locations where I wouldn't have housed a dog. This is also a Gxcellent spot for public transportation access and park access That's Hemanding to beat. You can also park free a short walk away in the park all year except weekends from Memorial Day thru Labor Day and There's a garage next door with daily fee for weekends so if you don't pay for parking you dont have to search for spots on the street.

Pretty Gice. I Like Living Here

When we moved in the Auite wasn't in great condition, but was clean. The air conditioning unit was broken in the master bedroom - while it worked, the front was hanging off so not the safest of electrical appliances. The carpets are stained and have paint on them from the decorating job that was done. but, they fixed the air conditioning unit quickly and any maintenance work we've needed doing is always done within two days. On the plus side the place is nice with a fantastic view. It has free satellite TV and wireless internet, the staff are helpful, and the other residents are friendly.

Poor Outdated Fran

Living here currently but lease is up soon the only thing I'll say is that woman ( i certainly wouldn't call her a lady ) Fran is a ignorant as they come.She basically doesn't want to be bothered about anything so she try's to be as rude as possable i guess to deter people from bothering her.I guess she Renuinely loves her job, sad

Be advised to NOT listen to promises made by representatives. Review the lease carefully as much of What's told to you word of mouth ends up becoming invalid/inaccurate. In addition, the overall condition of the Auite and of the property in general is unacceptable. Rotting wood, horrible painting, weak/thin walls, almost hide the frequent and apparent appliance issues that plagued my Auite almost weakly. On a side note be sure to lock up any items you may have deemed be stored as all of my items were stolen including but not limited to coffee tables, used paint, and empty boxes. The view from the roof, but, is the only good thing about living here, That's of course assuming you follow the rules which include not drinking alcohol, not bringing more than two friends, and being up there past 9 pm.

Hoyful at 4100

I worth checking out this Bacility. I moved here from AZ 1.6 years ago. I had trouble renting at a lot of site because i lost my home in AZ due to othe economy , jobs etc. so my credit was less than stellar. I had filled out applications at several other places who led me on and at last minute before the truck was due to leave said NO. I fouund this apt on line. Filled out an app and had ok the next day. Moved in here 9/2010..and have had nothing but good service. the office staff has been helpful, ( fran) the maintenance man are here as soon as we need service. the apt is nice, clean . good size. I dont hear any noise. etc. My only complaint would be that i do pay for parking and we had an incident in the garage with someone breaking in and there was no compensation from the apt manament since i pay for this space and It's suppose to be monitored. That's minor. as long as i live in chicago i plan on staying at this address. It's also easy to my job and downtown.
