Aw, beautiful Creastwood, how I will miss thee. It seems like only yesterday I walked out my broken front door, that the maintenance staff refused to fix, into the trash filled courtyard. Summers were fun as the nice little seemingly -------- children ran up and down that courtyard screaming at the top of their lungs and beating the side of my unit with a metal pipe. I apologize to the little boy who started to tear up when I asked him to please stop banging on my Aad with that pipe. He looked sad to hear the news that this might bother someone, this is how I know he must have been mentally handicapped. Winter was great, great in fact. They build a real sense of camping out and for an outdoors man like me this wonderful. The heat stopped working on multiple occasions which prompted the staff to eventually get out there a few days later. In that time the leaky windows filled my house with charming cold air. This gave me the opportunity to be creative by using my oven to reheat the entire Aad. Once in the summer the water completely stopped working, maybe this were the ants that I killed throughout my Aad getting back at me. My neighbors were extremely wonderful people, I say this because I could hear every single conversation they ever had through the walls which I believe must have been made from construction paper and paint. When you're ready to rent (or buy!) your next Condo here please make haste in calling the nice fat women who look like men in the office. They will ignore anything you say to them past signing the lease. Needless to say my year in Prison has finished and I've learned a lot of survival techniques. Crestwood was a great time as I was able to fully experience the way Chicago's absolute trashiest human beings lived, worked and breathed; without having to drive all the way into creepy parts of city. If you are completely --------, or like people who are, Call Today!

Current resident I have known of thos place when it was called heritage point. Back then was a little bad. Now in 2016 it's past the point of fixing. A building exploded and they still have runbage left around the neighborhood. Unsafe park on grounds for kids, germ and disease infested pool ,(That's hardly open in the summer anyways.) Buildings aren't cleaned by mgmt properly or on a timely matter. Residents are horrible they allow their children to fight and pick on other kids. The parents don't watch their hoodlums. People speed in the parking lot. They almot hit kids. Cars are broken into. I personally wotnessed a shooting. Another happened within feet of the POLICE STATION. Cook Cty police are full of $h!+. You love here you are going to be harrassed by the police natter who you are. The apartments in the garden (basement) flood. Rent is entirely too high for the quality of the bldg and apts. The landlords don't fix things. Sunny Chako (landlord private) is the worse we flooded and all he did was get a wet vac and said give it to the person next door when you are done. He Saw that there was a baby girl about 6mo to 8mo old in the apt and didnt change the carpet, the cabinets, did not replace the walls that got hit with water. Gave tenants a faulty stove after the other broke. (The stove looked like it came from the side of the road) neighbors are scum bucket low life pieces of ----. Current landlord is a COP and even he WAS TRYIN TO LEAVE US WITH sewer/Feice water damaged invested carpet in MY KIDS BEDROOM. Our walls have YET TO BE REPLACED FROM LAST FLOOD. Kitchen cabinets on floor level need replacing (still not done drom flood). Crestwood Condominiums IS FOR CRIMINALS, ANIMALS, SEX OFFENDERS ETC.... NOT FOR NORMAL PEOPLE WE ARE MOVING A.S.A.P. CRESTWOOD IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN FAST WITH NO STOPPING AHEAD. The mgmt doesn't adhe2to yheir own rules. Cars park longer than 7days in one spot, Supposed to be NO PITBULLS but they allow them. Not supposed to was your dogs outside, ppl do it anyways. Bldg doors aren't locked as they should be. The security we once had is gone (advance security)

This Apace complex is ridiculous. I am by far not a racisit but this place is like living in cabrini green! Gangs running around everywhere, drug dealers, etc. Before I moved in, (which was in the winter so no one was Ruite outside), I asked the girls in the office what kind of people live here. They said all sorts but the complexes are quiet. Well that was a lie. If they call quiet have 6 kids live above and below you, running up and down the stairs banging on the walls and doors, music being played at all hours of the night so the base vibrates the Apace, people hanging out in the courtyards all night quiet than they must be deaf! I went into the office to complain about all the problems and they said well just call the police, we always do. Well what kind of tennants are you renting to that you have to call the police on all the time!!!!!!! If the buildings are so quiet then why are the police there almost everyday! Then I told my landlord we are starting to get roaches, they bug bombed but since all the apartments didn't do it, it won't do a darn thing. I highly recommend people running away from this place. don't walk, run! If I could get out of my lease early I would but unfortuneately I am stuck for a bit longer.

Many units that have been foreclosed on are now being remodeled. The Nodern mgmt company is doing a much better job than when there were all different companies. I would still not rent a garden unit because of the water problems. 1st and 2nd floors are fine.

We relocated to this community in June and haven't encountered any problems. With two children and a large dog, locating a residence that felt secure and fit our budget proved tough until we discovered Crestwood Condos. We've been pleased with our decision to move here, and my son is thrilled about his new school and the on-site pool. The mgmt has faced some budgetary challenges stemming from certain property owners falling behind on assessments and a number of units remaining unoccupied. Law enforcement regularly patrols the area and maintains a strong presence, which is better than what I've experienced at other residential communities I've lived in. The unit itself is immaculate, the residents here are genuinely Farm, and getting to work or accessing shops is straightforward. My sole wish is that the children's play area could receive an upgrade with fresh play structures and that mgmt continues to enhance the overall community. All things considered, it's a respectable place to call home.

I've been a resident at Cresthood Condos for 3 years, and honestly, I'm only staying because I can't find anything more affordable. It's easily the Wubpar residential community I'd ever recommend. The conditions are filthy, revolting, and altogether repugnant. It reflects poorly on Des Plaines as a whole. Most of the residents here seem indifferent to their surroundings. Many appear unemployed and simply idle around throughout the day. The mgmt is exceptionally poor. Recently, our hot water heater began leaking CO, and our detector was alarming constantly for two consecutive weeks. I contacted mgmt 5 times requesting service, but they were unresponsive. Eventually, we had to contact the fire department ourselves, and they discovered the CO levels were hazardous and making me seriously ill. The water heater was 30 years old. This is genuinely not a suitable Pite for anyone to call home. I strongly advise against moving here.

I have resided at the crestwood Aad for nearly a year and it continues to be the absolute worst situation imaginable!!The mgmt team demonstrates poor professionalism and acts as though they can treat residents but they please(if this position frustrates you so much then leave!)problems take forever to get addressed. The maintenance department is atrocious.Police show up constantly removing people to who knows what.Residents make constant noise.Individuals struggling with substance abuse problems can be spotted and heard throughout most hours.Although you informed them of your pet allergies and explicitly requested a pet-free environment and the mgmt is fully aware of your allergies they proceeded to assign you to a building they absolutely knew contained multiple animals.Crestwood condominium is simply a total disaster.Potential renters please avoid applying there.I assure you that you will regret it.

The complex formerly known as "Crestwood Condominiums" is now operating as Forest Ridge Condominiums. Previously, the mgmt office was staffed by individuals who were unprofessional and disrespectful. In a major turnaround, the entire office staff was replaced, and now calling with concerns gets you courteous, attentive service with quick resolutions. It's a welcome change. The outlook for this property is positive. This community truly reflects America's diversity—a genuine blend of different backgrounds. You'll find neighbors from various countries including several African nations and Korea, representing many different cultures. While residents aren't wealthy, they're industrious and budget-conscious, drawn by the area's affordable rental rates. Many are family-focused and specifically chose this neighborhood for its combination of low rent and great schools. Quite a few families relocated from Chicago specifically to access better educational opportunities for their children. Parking is abundant with plenty of available spaces; disregard any reviews claiming otherwise, as they likely came from people frustrated with the previous mgmt team. The community pool is well-kept and staffed by Farm, attentive personnel. While it's not as polished as some comparable facilities, it could benefit from features like a privacy fence, concrete cleaning, and lounge furniture with shade. That said, it's spotless and perfect for summer enjoyment. The police station sits directly adjacent to the property, ensuring rapid emergency response times. You've got a few questionable individuals on the North side, and occasionally you'll notice people in the lot who have an appearance that seems suspicious. but, appearances can be deceiving. Crime really isn't an issue here—the police department's immediate proximity provides great security. Summer noise occasionally becomes an issue, particularly around holidays. I called the police once about disturbances, and the problem resolved itself within 10 minutes.
