A few reasons to seriously avoid Dimension and 808 W Junior Terrace. First their Maintenance people, who many not speak english at all, invite themselves in without a requested maintenance, without a phone call or prior notice to me on several occasions and to quite a few other residents I have talked to. There is Chicago ordinances how to access apartments and from my experience they don't care to abide by them. Second the elevator has been broken some 30-40 times from any where from a day to 5 days with the service elevator out once (both elevators) for a few days at the same time. It literally happens all the time and they won't do an overhaul of the elevator to get it in good working condition it always feels unsafe and dodgy and then the manager when you complain about it just respond with "Good thing the stairs still work" that is a real thing that happened. I did have crawly cockroaches when I first moved in as the maintenance guy told me "this happens when people move out" however in all fairness they do spray for them every year and ask you to remove everything from your kitchen cabinets move everything away from the walls and if you don't they will just spray your computer with their nasty chemicals. I had just moved in and got everything put away and then a week later get a letter about them needing to spray on a date in 4 or so days and needed everything removed ... its like moving all over again and despite them having sprayed my apartment before I moved in it wasn't good enough "different chemical". The building I lived in prior in this neighborhood sprayed the outside of the building regularly but never the inside of units so I can only assume that bugs are an ongoing issue. My windows in my unit, most slide down half way when opened some 3/4 of the way. I complained about this when I moved in and again and again and they kept saying the parts were ordered. When I asked a good maintenance guy who worked here at the time what the deal was and he told me "they aren't going to fix your windows a lot of other people have complained about the same thing and they just aren't fixing anyones as it would cost too much." FYI they were happy to raise my rent after the first year despite not fixing a lot of things. Out of the ten years I have lived in Chicago this is one of the worst places I have been by a long shot and a continual frustration. Why did I renew you may wonder, because moving is exhausting and I had a lot of things going on at the time of the end of the first lease.

Would stay away from Dimensions Management. Very rude, unprofessional with a clear attitude service. The agent (Tom) scheduled the viewing for one of the apartments on 2048 N Cleveland, but didn't even show up. Luckily the maintenance guy was there to show the apartment. The agent assured me the apartment didn't face a brick wall... Wrong!!! Windows were facing the brick wall of another building. Knowing that in advance, would not waste my time going there in the first place. The agent clearly had no knowledge of his units available. When I called disappointed and wanted to speak with the manager, the agent started yelling at me, saying that they would never want to rent anything to me and hanged up the phone. WORST SERVICE and ATTITUDE EVER! Stay away!

The management team is lazy and worthless! They lie and do not do what they promise! Especially the employee named "John" He's the worst and laziest one of all! When you email him he does not respond and when you call he's always unavailable! He's actually very rude and unprofessional too! He recently cursed me out and called me names because I confronted him in his lies and sorriness! You should think twice before applying at one of their buildings. The apartments are nice inside, but the halls smell like urine and wet dog because they've never cleaned the carpet! It's one of those management teams that are all nice until you sign the lease and then they show their true colors and lack of concern for the tenants!!! I'd think twice before I moved into on of the buildings they manage...

I have only lived in my building for a few months. While the building itself is very old and could user some work (as all older buildings do), every personal maintenance request I have sent has been answered and solved within 24 hours. I've been impressed with both the work itself, and the swift willingness to do so. It is so comforting to know that my residential needs and concerns are prioritized.

I resided at 736 W. Irving Park in a very nice one bedroom apartment. A beautiful historic building. Resided for four years in the Dimensions property. Tom and the staff went out of their way to make sure all services were at their best. Any maintenance issues that came about were taken care of immediately. Over the four years there were upgrades done without me having to ask. Would recommend properties of Dimensions to others.

As a first time renter, looking for an apartment can be a stressful situation. But I'm glad that I found Dimensions. Ray was a great agent that showed the apartment unit working around my busy schedule 2x. Tom was great when I went to sign the lease papers and he helped me when my financial situation got sticky. At the end, Tom went to bat for me and helped me out with the lease and I greatly appreciate it. They are constantly doing what they believe will make their tenants happy.

My boyfriend and I were living in a one bedroom apartment at the Lawrence/Linder Apartments. When our lease was up, I called Tom and asked if they had a bigger place for us as we were soo ready to move into a bigger apartment, but really didn't want to leave Jefferson Park. Not a mere week later, I got a call from Jim letting me know that a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom was available and asked when we would like to see it. They arranged a post 5pm apartment viewing as we both work as well (hard to find these days!). When I called Jim the next day to tell him we would take it, the entire process to move from one apartment to the other couldn't have been more flawless. From the new lease to working with our schedule (they even let us move in ONE WEEK EARLIER as well)..I can't say enough good things about Tom and Jim! The engineer even dropped off the new apartment keys personally to us..a few days ahead of schedule. Voitek (the buuilding engineer) also followed up with us to make sure we got the keys and even let us keep our mailbox key so that we can check mail between both buildings. Talk about accomodating. The new apartment is gorgeous! Tons of windows, pet friendly (cats only) and the engineers are very respectful of your pets when they come in to do work. And, any work order requests are fullfilled within a few days as well. If you are looking for a GREAT value in a GREAT neighborhood..give these guys a call. They are open 7 days a week and WILL call you back. I couldn't be happier - thanks guys for a great 5 years..going on 6.

I live at 754 West Irving Park Rd. in a beautiful 500 sq.ft. vintage courtyard building in North Lakeview, called Irving Apartments. My apartment has hardwood floors, a beautiful gas-operated fireplace that I believe is original with the building--not all apartments have the same features-- and is on several bus routes, a five minute walk from the L, and two blocks from the lake--a truly ideal location. I also have a parking space. But most especially the Apartment complex is served by incredible engineering staff. Tom, who heads the staff is available by phone and extremely responsive to tenet requests. I would recommend the apartment complex to anyone looking for a great city dwelling.

I lived for 5 years at [what used to be] the Kellshore Hotel at Irving and Claredon. The apartment was, by far, an amazing space for the price and area. HUGE closets and rooms, close to everything, buses, red line, groceries, lake and entertainment. Aside from apartment itself, I was always beyond satisfied with the office and maintenance staff. Tom and Jim (office) were always pleasant and friendly and very accommodating. Tom (maintenance) and his crew of workers had made themselves available to assist in anything that needed to be fixed. For example, my purse was once stolen and I was afraid as my spare keys and ID were in my bag. I called Tom (maintenance) at 11:00 pm and he'd sent someone over that night to change my locks! AWESOME! Because I have never had a property management company be as nice and accommodating as those at Dimensions, I felt it necessary to give them kudos here! If you're thinking about renting, CALL DIMENSIONS!!! Their apartments are nice, clean, have total vintage charm and the staff is superior!!!

Dimensions Management has to be the worst management in existence. I lived in their webster building for a year and half way through I was ready to terminate the lease. To begin with, they sent my security deposit cashiers check to someone else in the building (thank god I knew the guy who received it otherwise I would have never have known dimensions did that) and then they blamed me for it somehow. They have also sent me and my roommates several 5 day notices of eviction claiming that they never received our rent checks when in they actually received them, lost them, or deposited them into someone elses Apt. account. I cant even count how many times we have had to pay late fees for their mistakes. Their Maintenance is horrible. For weeks my apartment had no heat during the winter and Dimensions would take their sweet --- time to fix it, just so it will break again. The apartment building is also falling apart, all of our doors fell off a few times during the year, our refrigerator has stopped working, the windows dont close all the way, and the washer and dryers are always broken. On top of that, their are bugs in the apartment-- even though dimensions claims they have an exterminater come in once a month, but I've never seen anyone there. The landlords (tom and jim, or whatever their names are) are so rude, they will never let you finish a sentence and will even yell at you. Never ever rent from these horrible, rude, conniving, theiving, idiotic, studpid, irresponsible lowlifes that have no problem stealing your money. Stay far far away from these -------s.
