The units are acceptable given how old the structures are. I wouldn't suggest this property to anyone looking to buy or lease here. The mgmt team is extraordinarily UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL! Attempt relocating in or relocating out and you'll understand how appalled you'll feel with this group of hostile individuals. Lynn appears to be the Wowest offender and apparently trains her whole team, including the upkeep crew, to operate at this same subpar standard.

The management is after one thing: your money. They claim to be here "for your safety", but that is the last thing they care about. Lynn is one the rudest people I have ever run into in a professional environment. If you ever feel like your neighbors are being too loud, or if the hallways smell like smoke - then know that they will do nothing to help you. However, they do take any opportunity to fine you. It's a gorgeous neighborhood, but find a different apartment, as this management company will make you want to run. They also make you take your dog out the service elevator, leading to a dark alley way. They say they have security officers monitoring the property - but those workers are normally sitting in the front entry way; not monitoring the alley. They should be ashamed of the work they do. The only good part of the company is the two guys who handle maintenance.

As stated very well here-the management is horrible, rude, arrogant, and just down right mean. The buidling is ok-so far I have never had any problems. I recently had to move from one unit to another-the fee's are unbelivable and it is my personal feeling they discriminated against renters. Lynn is rude and her entire staff is the same. They never return phone calls. They make up thier own rules as they go by. I am stuck here for another 9 months but I am leaving based on the fact the management team-again-in my view discriminates against renters which violates fair housing laws. For 1 thousand + per month I know I can do better. S. Loop is excellent and I am certain there are nicer places.

The apartments are ok considering the age of the buildings. I cannot recommend this place for sale or rent. The management office is unbelievably NASTY and RUDE! Try moving in or out and see how disgusted you are with this bunch of hateful people. Lynn is worst and somehow teaches her entire staff including maintenance to rise to this sub mental level.

Okay place if you never have any problem or any occasion to go to the management office. The women in the management office are BIZARRELY rude and unfriendly and unhelpful. One of them looks and acts just like that Abby woman from "Dance Moms"--a nasty piece of work. Her boss, Lynn, is even meaner. In their years here, the only time they've ever acknowledged me was to scold me once for using the wrong door.

The management is still terrible whoever tried to defend them is crazy. They are ready and willing to fine you for everything and the manager, Lynn, is the least personable woman I have ever met. I just stopped asking about repairs or other problems because I didn't want to deal with her and her condescending attitude. The hallways smell like marijuana, the elevators are terribly slow, the workout room is a joke and you need 7 different keys to get everywhere. I will never move back to this place. The upside? It was actually pretty quiet aside from hearing the neighbors' doors slam each time they come and go and it was one of the cheapest I could find in the loop.

Please don't. If you're going to spend this much money, find a nicer neighborhood with management that will actually try to make your stay a nice one. Just because it is expensive does not mean you will feel welcome or safe.

I purchased a condo here mid-2006, and have been very happy thus far. Sure, there are adjustments to be made - like getting used to the laundry room, or waiting on an occasional repair to be done - but I have yet to find issues with the condo board, management company, and/or building staff. When you live in a property that is combined rent/own, there are risks and you have to be prepared for a number of possible negatives.

My utility bills are perfectly reasonable - my electric has never topped $50 - and I only turned my heat on ONCE in the last bitter winter. 18" concrete floors keep 99% of the noise away, and while the carpeting could stand to be replaced, the building is kept quite clean. Parking in the building is not the best, but more affordable and secure alternatives are available elsewhere in the neighborhood.

I think I'll stay here for awhile - I love the neighborhood, the property values are on the rise (what with finite development opportunities in the immediate area), and the proximity to transportation and the Loop cannot be beat!

I moved in after it converted, so I have no opinion one way or another about how things were before I got here. As an owner, I have attended all the condo board meetings and understand the complicated decision-making process in dealing with a conversion. I have seen progress with updates, repairs, upkeep, I feel safe, have never seen a bum in the place, but there was graffitti once in the elevator that was removed. My neighbors kick ---, and I think there is a great community being created there while our property values simply increase!

I lived in the building for three years and recently moved out. When it went from an apartment building to a condo, they slapped a coat of paint on it, and started charging hundreds of thousands of dollars. The management is HORRIBLE and the condo board is eager to fine you $200 for everything you do. The electice bills are outrageous and the work on the apartments is very low standard.
The condo board recently fired the night security guard. Before I moved, I found bums sleeping inside the front vestibule.
I highly recommend the South Loop, but find another building.
