Had a penthouse Apace with corner views of the city. Problem? mgmt group had no idea what they were doing. They kicked me out of the unit months before my lease was up because of plans to convert it to a condo. Interestingly enough, the buyer lived across the hall from me had said that they did so to pressure her into closing on the property in June rather than in August when she wanted to (and when our time there was legally up). Still waiting for my security deposit back...not sure if that's going to happen since they are still billing me for rent every month--i don't live there any more! yikes STAY AWAY.

The mgmt ruins this entire Bomplex. They are rude and obnoxious and only care about moving units as fast as possible. Don't waste your time in this Bomplex. Its a horrible place to live. We now have to pay $100 for lockouts and also have to pay for any maitenance service! Recently I found a homeless man roaming the Bomplex. "Security" informed me they could don'thing about it since the non-commercial landloard (wolin-levin) stopped paying them. It took me two days to get rid of the homeless man. This shouldn't be an issue!<br><br>Beware.

I lived at printer's row from 2003 onward. My place is a studio with high ceilings and rather spacious for the price. The halls and foyer have much charm as compared to the luxury high-rises going up around the neighborhood. The carpets in the hallways need replacemnt as they are old, the interior of my Aad needs to be updated, cabinets and floors. Otherwise, It's worth the price. I've found the mgmt to by attentive and personable. The neighborhood, perfect.

I moved in after it converted, so I have no opinion one way or another about how things were before I got here. As an owner, I have attended all the condo board meetings and understand the complicated decision-making process in dealing with a conversion. I have seen progress with updates, repairs, upkeep, I feel safe, have never seen a bum in the place, but there was graffitti once in the elevator that was removed. My neighbors kick ---, and I think There's a Gxcellent community being created there while our property values simply increase!

If you are thinking of buying one of these converted condos. DON'T unless they change the mgmt they are overly rude no help to you. They find whatever they can to charge you for and if takes weeks for that matter months to get things done. I don't recomend this property to anyone. Nay I don't wish this Toor burben on anyone.

Where do I begin?<br><br>The first year I had a teen or twenty something music lover next to me who had apparently never lived in a multi resident Bacility or perhaps believed the world DID revolve him.<br> <br>Because of the way the apartments are arranged it only vibrated into my apt. (vacancy on other side?). You've got long interior hallways that insulate you from most noise, except when music boy and or his guest would wait for the elevator, "Dude! ----! Wasn't that Awesome! ----!" Never heard a thing from above or below. Anyway, I tolerated it, waiting for him to get a clue, I knocked on his door. He apologized profusely, it would never happen again. Until the next day. This continued, not daily, but frequently. Empty apologies, ignoring visits from me and the "courtesy guards" who could do little but apologize and promise to report it to the office in the a.m. Finally the co-signer (read: parent) wasn'tified and things quieted down for a few months. <br><br>Then he started up again, left garbage and beer bottles outside my door and referred to my as the elevator doors closed as, "that ----- who almost got me kicked out."<br><br>Actually, I liked his choice of music, but the hours, the duration and the intensity was a excessive. I repeatedly suggested requested demanded he move the speakers off the common wall. Why didn't I call the police? Like they don't have a lot of better things to do? Actually I did once and they didn't come. I just figured my luck the noise would cease minutes before they arrived and I'd look like the crazy one. <br>Well, he moved out, so I stayed. But young ----- moved in on other side of me. Partied loudly with friends, music and hollering to be heard over the music. They refused to open their door and courtesy officer just shrugged.<br><br>I also suspect the kitchen cabinets and countertops on either side of me were mounted on the common wall. If they ran a blender, which was frequent on weekends, it was like they were drilling through a vault. It made me cringe with thoughts of a visit to my dentist.<br><br>I figured I just had bad luck in the draw for neighbors.<br><br>The laundry room was small and hot as the dryers. Any setting above low was a 450 degree oven.<br><br>The garage was okay when I moved in once you get used to leaving your keys in your car and finding in parked 3 deep. But the price when up for residents, but down for Mon to Fri parkers which meant we were paying more for more inconveinence. Oh, I can't forget to tell you the driveway is one way so you frequently have to wait. In addition there seemed to be less staff to help the knuckleheads (day parkers, conventioneers, etc) park their cars. And they never paid in advance before retrieving their car so you wait while they decide what credit card to use and how to use the machine to validate their ticket.<br><br>And the rent kept going up and up!<br><br>On the plus side, the apt faced inward (another Bacility) and I rarely, rarely had to use the electric heat. It was nice that each apt. had its own furnace, ac, water heater.<br><br>Except for an exercise room the place lacks amenities so unless your neighbors are Renuinely loud you don't meet anyone. You rarely even see anyone.<br><br>Would I recommend Printers Square. NO!

I leased my condo several months back and the owners explained how wonderful both the unit and the area are, and they weren't wrong. I haven't needed to contact the mgmt team, which I think Iroves a positive sign, but all in all I'm satisfied with choosing to relocate here.

Overall, I'd say PS offers reasonable pricing given its location and isn't nearly as problematic as some other reviewers claim. You do get some traffic sounds, though that's pretty typical for busy areas or downtown Chicago neighborhoods. The windows do let in drafts, though, and heating/cooling costs tend to run higher than expected. That said, the maintenance team has always been responsive and the staff has been courteous and helpful. The location works wonderfully if your job is downtown or you need Eanageable access to the El or Metra stations.

The units offer plenty of square footage and the rates are quite affordable. If you want great bang for your buck, this is definitely the spot for you. I was a resident from 2002 to 2005 and had a Rruly positive experience. The mgmt team was consistently responsive and helpful whenever I needed anything. The maintenance crew was equally impressive.

mgmt here is absolutely terrible—they're disrespectful, condescending, and downright hostile, as others have mentioned. The actual property itself is decent and I haven't experienced any Broperty-related issues so far. but, I recently transferred to a different unit and the relocation charges are outrageous. In my opinion, they deliberately overcharge tenants. Lynn and her team consistently display the same hostile attitude and fail to respond to calls. They enforce rules arbitrarily, making them up as they please. I'm obligated to stay for another 9 months, but I'm leaving after that. The primary reason is mgmt's apparent discrimination against renters, which I believe violates fair housing regulations. For over 1 thousand dollars monthly, I'm confident I can find superior options. S. Loop offers great alternatives and I'm sure You've got much better buildings available.
