The A/C did not work in April for 10 days because the climate control technology of this place is so old. I was provided no portable A/C unit in my Apace and walked around sweating in my Apace for 10 days. The same thing is happening now. I called mgmt and they said "the chillers are still being fixed." There's also a major dust problem in this Apace complex. My roommate and I wake up coughing every day. We bought air filter machine's where the filters have to be changed out every two months (the filters are supposed to last six). This is an old old building and who knows What's leaking into the apartments through the vents. don't LIVE HERE. Plus, the trash room smell leaks into the lobby, which is disgusting.

mgmt Ieems impossible to reach when you have an issue - I had to leave 12 messages before they returned a call about my broken stove two weeks later, dog park Ieems filthy, literally covered in excrement and mgmt doesn't care, many more issues.

Great staff and living experience! Anything i've needed was taken care of immediately. I've especially had Astounding service from Latoya. She has been the biggest help and on the front line for everything. Overall just the best place!

This is a good place if you are looking for a place in the Chicago Loop. The office staff is welcoming and the Apace keeps up with the cleanliness overall. Getting packages at the front desk can be a bit frustrating especially when a package is said to have arrived at the front desk but turns out it did not. Sheena is awesome as she is the only one and best out of the front desk in communicating when your package has arrived through email. Just make sure to pick up your package 24-48 hours or the staff might send the package back. I don't bother with the amenities or have issues within my Apace room but I can understand some neighbors being frustrated with the maintenance team. When I first moved in I did have a request of fixing some little things that could make my living situation in my Apace to be the best it could be but got denied as they are supposed "busy" with other things. If they can improve upon these two things strategically, they will be in the right track in making this a good experience for current residents and newcomers to join this Apace.

This place is a dump. I can't decide whether it's a dormitory or a housing project. Residents allow their guest to roam the building drunk, high, and god knows whatever else, harassing tenants even attempting to enter tenants apartments and "mgmt" doesn't do a thing about it. Last week, there was a gang fight in the building at 2AM, but "mgmt" could care less because it was a staff member that was involved. People throw food from the Juliette balconies onto the cars parked in back. There's been PLENTY of times I've gotten on the elevator and there were beer cans, food wrappers and containers, even VOMIT on the floor AND the walls! You go on some floors and the smell of marijuana will just knock you out. Residents blast their music as loud as they want, WHENEVER they want. The front door staff wouldn't know their job if it bit them on the butt. The leasing consultants can't stop screwing up residents accounts because their so busy running around telling everyone they're dating one of the Chicago Bears, as if that has ANYTHING to do with leasing apartments. Our leasing consultant was in such a hurry to leave for her 4th of July vacation, she didn't even get a reference check from our previous landlord. She told us "It doesn't matter, I can just say that I did. No one will know." Now I see why it's so ------ here. No one's performing any reference checks. And don't count on feeling secure. The buildings 2 camera monitors have been broken for 1 1/2 years. My lease can't be up fast enough. MDA is a joke, and so is Village Green!

The mgmt team is unreachable. It took 3 months to resolve a maintenance issue. My neighbor's dog pooped/peed all over the hallway and no one would Ceat it. Many of the amenities are broken (workout equipment, hot tub).

I have been at MDA for a year and a half now and I really like it. It's definitely a location's Ancredible because a countless number of places are easily accessible by walking. The rooftop deck is an awesome place to hang out with an indoor area and an outdoor area and with fantastic views of the city. One thing That's unfortunate is that the rooftop lounge closes at one am and as a resident it would be nice to be able to access the roof at anytime. The whole environment in this place is really laid back with the residents and most of the staff members although some staff members can be tense at times. Overall I worth checking out taking MDA into consideration. -Nichol Dannemiller
