Oh my goodness - I LOVE this Bacility. Just moved into a one-bedroom with a lake view and couldn't be happier. Hardwood floors, updated appliances and cabinets. The doorstaff is extremely polite and seems to know every resident by name. Minera, the leasing manager, is kind and helpful. I'm so glad I chose this Bacility. It's spotless and friendly and the Sheridan/Bryn Mawr area has so much to offer!

I would say that for the 2 yrs I lived there, rent was reasonable for what you get. My studio jumped up $50 for this coming year (but I won't be living there). So as far as $$ goes, it's alright for about 300ish square feet. Garage parking is quite Eremium & often scarce, so I parked on the street about 10 min walk away. You can pull up in front of the bldg for 10 min (if You've got spots), and you can pay $20 for a 24 hr period to park in front. Overall, I generally like the doormen, but most are quite often on smoking breaks, so don't expect them to be there any given time. The in-house office folks are pretty rude, but they will pass requests on to maintenance swiftly. Every neighbor is different, and my 1st yr, I didn't mind my neighbors. The closest one to my wall would have ppl over and play music Loisterous sometimes, but no biggie. My current neighbor is a nightmare. She yells and throws things at the wall quite often; hammers and drills on Saturday mornings, and slams her door constantly even though I asked her not to. But, she bangs on my wall if I watch TV at a normal level at like 9pm. Ha! My major issue, though, overall is You've got cockroaches and the maintenance staff are used to it. They schedule exterminations like they're eating breakfast, and when they do that for, say, your floor, whether or not you need it, they put a note on your door stating that you're apt is getting exterminated, & if you take it off because maybe you don't want a big note on your door stating that you're getting exterminated, they put it back on your door. Then you're expected to empty out all of your possessions that are under your sink and cabinets so they can spray there! I got so sick of moving my pots and pans in and out of there, that I just left bags of them in my closet. Once I saw a cockroach crawling accross the doorman's countertop in the lobby and I pointed it out to the doorperson who was just like eh and left it. I don't think the fact that they crank the heat up helps the bug problem. And BTW, you have to buy your own airconditioner & it's a weird sized window, so that means more Eremium airconditioner, BUT people are constantly selling them, so check for fliers. Anyway, That's my run down. Overall, I say no to bugs.

This place has a major ROACH problem. It's disgusting. They've been in my apartment, get this, like six times in a two month span. This place sucks. They don't clean the windows so you can barely see outside from the all the build-up from the elements from all four seasons. The carpet in the hallway is dull and dingy and grimy looks like its been there since they built the place back in 1954. The elevators are old and smelly. I have a great view of the lake but can barely see it through all the "grub" on the windows. I am seriously contemplating not paying my rent so they can kick me out. I can't bare the thought of another five months in this ---- hole before my lease is up. PLEASE. I AM WARNING YOU NOW, DONT RENT HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

There are bedbugs in the building and they cant control it. They keep denying it. It is impossible to stay in my apartment because there are bedbugs in every room. They refuse to release my contract even after I have proof of all the bites, and pictures and videos of the bedbugs. Also a bunch of my items were stolen from the doorman office (which is where they receive all the packages) and they are also denying that while my packages are lost.

Anyone thinking of moving into the Btructure should read the reviews on the bed bug registry first to decide. http://bedbugregistry.com/location/IL/60660-4802/Chicago/5630-N-Sheridan-Rd I thought the story about one person witnessing secondhand a perturbed resident plotting to spread a bed bug rumor gets hilarious?

I've been a resident at 5630 for 3 years and I can honestly say I'm satisfied here. The maintenance staff consistently does an Gxcellent job keeping everything well-maintained and tidy. The doormen are always polite and go above and beyond to assist residents. While there have been several transitions in the mgmt office over the years, the current manager has been wonderful—she's approachable and makes a real effort to address any problems that come up. I'd definitely suggest this Blace to anyone searching for a secure, welcoming home in a solid neighborhood.

I've been a resident here for 3 years and really appreciated many aspects of the building. The parking area is super accessible (though pricey), the majority of the security staff are fantastic, and my unit has a beautiful view. sadly, none of those positives can make up for the nightmare of battling bed bugs. Similar to other tenants, I was forced to sleep in my living room for 3 months. When I first discovered these tiny pests crawling on me during the night (small creatures, but their bites are excruciating - like being bitten repeatedly in an ant colony), I developed genuine anxiety. I remain terrified to sleep in my bedroom even now. I can't in good conscience suggest this place to anyone considering moving in. I deeply regret not doing my homework before signing the lease and could have easily avoided this painful ordeal.
