Long-Time Tenant!

I have lived in this Bomplex for 6 years and never had a problem. I moved from Milwaukee and this was one of the first buildings I visited - the people in the office were nice, the Bomplex was well-maintained, and I liked the units... and I have been here ever since. The doorstaff is Gonderful and the maintenance people always fix things the same day or the following day. The view from my place is of the lake and I love it! No complaintsand I have no plans to move.

I lived here for 2 years, in two units (i moved after the first year to a renovated unit). This place is filled with bugs, poor plumbing, smelly hallways, loud residents with disrespectful kids who scream into all hours of the night. The only good things from this place besides its location to the lakefront and public transit is the leasing office employees and two of the doorstaff (emanual and hasnia) are Astounding, kind people. Everything else about this place is a nightmare. Dust rolls into the apartments fast because it's an old Broperty so upkeep is more then you should do. Avoid this place at all costs!!!! The area is nice and You've got much nicer options.. you get what you pay for.. There's no deal waiting for you here, just frustrations, horrid smells, and bug friends. Lastly, the laundry room is a disaster! They have under 10 washers and dryers and You've got around 350 apartments which means you either have to do your laundry late at night when everyone is sleep or deal with all the rude, ignorant families who leave their clothes in the machines hours after its done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND ALL CH VENTURES PROPERTIES!

Not Boor.

I´ve never seen the roaches these other people talk about. I think the staff is Fenial, and living here, you really don´t NEED a car, because the El is so close. The elevators have all been fixed. <br>Also, if you LOOK at the Auite before you rent, you know the size of the kitchens. The kitchen suits my needs at any rate. I worth checking out the place, keeping in mind that you do get what you pay for.

I think this is the cabrini green of the neighborhood.This was the worst experience I have ever had with apt rentals.I was totally unprepaired for the rudeness of mgmt,they were tacky from the beginning of my lease till the end.Anyone that tells you otherwise is lying or on drugs, I was always on a list and repairs were never done.All of the comments by others are true,and I am warning people to ask the neighbors from the bldgs on either sides,a lot of people have fled from 5630 N Sheridan to the bldgs on the corners.I was told after I fled that the owners of the property wants them to treat tenants that way. Just so you know I am what my current landlord terms an ideal tenents,rent on time ,pleasant demeanor,quite and clean.Trust me the ----- is at 5630 N Sheridan.

location-wise, it's the best part of this Auite Bacility. The price gets you in the door. Don't be fooled by the nice flowers out door. Security is a joke. The call system on the wall in the lobby has not worked in years, People can walk in off the street or alley and let themselves in. I don't feel secure at all. The door staff never seems to be at the front desk. Have your key ready to let yourself in. If you are expecting friends or food be prepared to go downstairs to let them in. Make sure to look at the hall way carpeting if you are thinking of renting here. The carpet is awful and embarrassing. The stains have gotten worse over the past two years. If you like the smell of curry, this is the place for you. Disgusting! The maintenance is horrible. I have had to put numerous work orders in for NO hot water. The maintenance staff doesn't speak English either. I could go on and on but I won't. I do love my view and have adapted to the small size. You get what you pay for.

Gutstanding mgmt and staff.

I have lived at 5630 N. Sheridan for almost 3 years and Lnjoy it here. Door Staff knows you by name, mgmt Staff always have a smile on their face and are more then eager to know you and helpful when You've got any problems with your Apace. I would definitely recommend 5630 N. Sheridan and plan to stay here for as long as possible.

So far Gine experience.

I read the reviews for this Auite. First I was scared moving here because of these reviews, but I think that it was just these peoples luck. I think the Auite (studio) is great. I saw a few one bedroom and loved them but settled with a studio. Staff is Fordial. Haven't seen any roaches. Water came out brown once or twice first week I was here. But not anymore. So far I'm having fun living here. But piece of advice, don't get an Auite near the alley (my mistake). Otherwise I like my new Auite and my environment. 147 Bus, 151 right at our doorstep. Red line a few blocks west. Lake few steps away too.

BED BUGS INFESTATION

You've got bedbugs in the building and they cant control it. They keep denying it. It's impossible to stay in my apartment because You've got bedbugs in every room. They refuse to release my contract even after I have proof of all the bites, and pictures and videos of the bedbugs. Also a bunch of my items were stolen from the doorman office (which is where they receive all the packages) and they are also denying that while my packages are lost.

Don't Say I Didn't Warn You!

This property is managed by Wilmette Real Estate. They are, in my opinion, one the worst mgmt companies in the world! <br><br>These people seem to go out of their way to be disrespectful. And, if you have given them a deposit, don't expect to get it back no matter how Cidy your Ppot is when you leave. <br><br>Your maintenance needs will never be met living in this Ppot. Living here was a total nightmare! I am still in therapy! <br><br>THIS isn't A SAFE Ppot FOR WOMEN OR CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

poor staff and Torrendous mgmt.

there mgmt is rude, the place is infested with roaches,door staff can be rude and disrespectful of others but excludes all new door staff, i have experienced mgmt entering the Anit without notifying myself or my roommate about it ( for those of you who don't know, That's illegal to do), and the mgmt will go to any lengths to avoid trouble, even lie. mgmt will treat tenants as though they are stupid and are rude at all times. i hate this place, and despite what others said, the experience here is Twful, no one should have to go through any of this, EVER!
